In conjunction with the cap clearances afforded the NYJ due to previous owner mismanagement, all FAs from the previous FA period should be placed back into the FA pool if Jets decides to cut them to clear cap. In this way everyone is given the same fair chance to bid and land these players. I propose this because, while Jets was unfairly penalized for cap from a previous owner, he should not get the benefit of keeping those players, getting his cap cleared AND keeping players that were given a contract in FA which took them away from the rest of the league. With his cap cleared, he should have more than enough to rebid on these players allowing the league, us users, to set their market price.
I'm not sure what to think of running bc a good amount of people are averaging below 4 ypc yet the three leaders avg over 8: Langford (Chi) 14.0 ypr 23 carries, (Ten) Sankey 8.1 on 39 and (Det) Abdullah 9.3 on 27. There also seem to be a high number of ints. 95 ints and week two is not over!!?!
I honestly hate these sliders. W they way they are set up there is no point throwing deep passes bc your QB will miss (unless you have an awesome one) , it will be intercepted or your guy will drop the ball. What's even worse is that it gets people used to throwing nothing but short routes. Or aka the open guy. Defensive players seem to magically warp to the receiver when a S is playing man on an outside receiver and the corner is blitzing. If you don't believe me look at my pass% stats from last year and this year. I'm running the exact same gameplan yet deep passes refuse to work. It seems the only viable deep routes are the corners and the go from an inside receiver. Any other route and the defender will punch the ball out. Everyone seems to hit on the TE/WR corner.
List if pass catchers w more than 5 and their RaC: Curry 16.3. Fowler 15.7. Austin 13.3. Julio 11.8. Gronk 11.3. L Green 11.2. Dorset 10.2. Hilton 10. Amaro 9.3. Maclin 8.6. D Adams 7.9. Moncrief 7.8. A Robinson 7.4. Eifert 7.3. Fleener 6.8. J Hunter 6.6. K Wright 5.9. M Bennet 5.5. J Kearse 5.5. Ertz 5.4.
Quite a few are over 50% of their total yards after the catch. (curry, fowler, Austin, Julio, Gronk, L Green, P Dorsett (right below 50) TY Hilton (90% RaC) Eifret. The rest on the list hover between 35-below 50% RaC.
The countless drops by my long passes has forced me to rely more heavily on Abdullah. I get at least 5 drops a game that are past 10 yards. Tate, Ebron, Nicks and Childs. What's the point of throwing long?
If it's the same thing as RFD was the offense will still be easy. Brett Hundley, I think he had 20 TDs and 4 int before getting hurt when his Best receivers were Ebron, Agholor and Cordarrele Patterson. For defense, I had trouble getting after the QB w a line of Robert Quinn, Star Lotulelei, Linval Joseph and Leonard Williams but had a good amount of int as I drafted ball hawks at LB and Secondary.
Running seemed to be easy as well as Christine Michael was in OpotY discussion before getting injured. However, it was also very hit or miss and seemed to be more user dependent. I don't see the good users slowing their paces down in the passing or rushing game.
The AP games vs CPU seemed fair. Some people won, some lost. Was better than default All-Madden for sure.
"The current A/S sliders are allowing more scoring and easier offense than I think is realistic. Would like suggested revised sliders for offseason. Thoughts?" -Wrat
Suggestions:
Bump down
-QB Acc (user and CPU). (5 points)
-WR Catch (both) (a couple of points so better players will be a more viable option and not everyone can go Hamilton in the paint)
-Int (to counteract increase in defensive reaction time and decrease in QB reaction)
-Run Block
Bump Up (the volume)
-Tackling (will decrease the amount of YaC for running backs and RaC for receivers)
-Pass Def Reaction Time / Coverage (receivers won't be as open and will help limit YaC)
