LA Rams Off-Season Recap

Hoooooooooooooly Sh*******T they did what?! October 15th the Rams and Coach Freddie Gibbs did the unthinkable....that's right

THEY TRADED AARON DONALD!

It's the only thing to discuss from this season after the lowly 6-10 campaign LA showcased.

Very rarely in the SFL are two high-profile players traded for each other, but that's what happened in 2020 a year already crazy as hell! when the Rams and Cheifs combined on a deal. LA
sent all-pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald  to Kansas City . In return, the Chiefs  shipped Veteran All Pro RT Mitchell Schwarts with 2020 First round and 2021 First rounder to LA.  Both had a large amount of individual success, but most of the SFL peanut gallery would say the Chiefs got the better of the deal.

We caught up with coach Gibbs who had some strong words about the trade "Not going to lie, it hurt to send Aaron away but we had to do what was best for the future of this organization. We also owed it to him to send him somewhere he can still make an impact in his later prime years" When asked about the backlash from the other GMs Gibbs didn't hold back "See this is the problem with this league, they have something against the KC GM and i don't get it! KC offered a damn good deal that will help us fill needs on this team. Alot of these punks don't like the organization and frankly I don't know why! From people sending me text asking 'why them' to those just flat out saying it was collusion. Look here I can't help that you guys don't know how to conduct business in a straight forth manner like that organization. So let's put our big boy pants on and learn how to block that line....cause frankly it aint my damn problem! We thank them and plan on using the picks to help positions we have go cheap at."

Gibbs also did stated he plans on making a playoff run next season. "It's come to my attention that alot of people don't believe in the talent we have availble on this team....next year 'WE WAKE THEM UP'

Coach Gotti's Quest

There is no epiphany, no grand moment of realization or bolting awake in bed thinking, “I’ve got it.” It was more a football coach going through what has become a miserable season and thinking perhaps it was time not for something new but for something old.

“I was miserable,” IND Coach Yo Gotti said about last season before he and his team boarded a plane for Houston on Thursday ahead of the Colts’ fifth game of this season, Sunday vs The Texans. “It was the worst season I’d ever had in football. It wasn’t just that we weren’t winning, although that was part of it. It jsut did get any worse than what we had going on at the time. It's time for a change!"

The Air Raid is not a playbook, it’s a coaching philosophy. Air Raid coaches that stick true to the system, ie. Mike Leach and Hal Mumme, run their typical stuff like mesh, 6, cross, and shallow. They’ve added stick as an Air Raid staple, too. Early in the running scheme Leach and Mumme used traditional high school run schemes like draw, trap, and iso. Now the Air Raid is known for still running draw, of course, but also zone schemes.

"I envision this team will move the football through the air  like the great Colt Brennan once did....we gon slang this bih ya heard? Tyree Jackson will lead us!" Coach Gotti stated before stepping onto the team charter.

Will it work? Probably not....but we won't knock the hustle!
