This week the Redskins come into town and brought the rain with them but it didn’t slow down the Bucs at all. The offense started off clicking from the opening kickoff and the defense suffocating there redskins offense. In which allow the Bucs to win 28-3. Offense was clicking on all cylinders. Week 3 Recap Week 4 Preview
In week 3 the Buccanners visit the New York Jets in a battle of undefeateds. Jets are well known for the expensive offseason they had.
Buccanners had another slow start. with having turnovers in the first drive but once again the defense held strong the whole game. Even with big plays made by Tyrell Shavers but the defense didn't allow any touchdowns allowing the offense to get insync late to win the game 23-9.
Coach CEO_KJR said "one of these slow start are really going to put us in the whole. I'm glad that we are having these game now, so we can learn from the mistakes we made. A win is a win but if we take a loss i bet you the team would learn quickly what not to do.
Last week Mike Evans went off and so it look like the Jets keyed on him which left the door open for the second year wide receiver C.McClatcher to get 6 cathces for 152 yards and add a touchdown. No stand outs on the defense side but the whole defense can get the spotlight for holding a the Jets offense to field goals in the redzone.
Week 4 the Redskins come into town with their new ownership and after losing to divisaional reival the Eagles. 35-12. Tampa bay looks to get their first win first the NFC East.
Week 2 Recap
By an Wes came away with a close divisional win by beating the Panthers 25-13.
Once again the Buccaneers started off slow turning the ball over on the very first play but the defense held the panthers to a field goal. With two teams knowing each other, there was definitely a struggle for points. And then Mike Evans took over the game racking up 5 catches for 131 yards and two exciting touchdown grabs. Once again the defense allowed the team to rock the ship right shutting down the Panthers attacking at times in crucial moments.
Rookie Deron Hunter has 12 tackles but Kwon Alexander tacked up another two interceptions.
Ceo_Kjr said it was a fought tight game which we expect from a rival but it’s good to see the teams able to pull together this early in the season and get the win. These game allow us to analyze the team and find ways how to become better.
Week 3 the Buccaneers travel to MetLife stadium to play the New York Jets who have started the season 2-0. Jets are well know from this offseason because of the talent they inquire through free agency.
Week 1 Tampa Bay Recap
Week 1 the Dolphins made a short trip from the south to visit Tampa Bay in a muddy weather storm. Tampa started off fast in the game moving the ball quickly but
Dolphins visit the Tampa Bay Bucs, playing a raining muddy weather game. Game started of slowly for both teams but the Bucs were able to pull away late to win 29-6
Both teams played the run very well, but Jameis Winston was able to lead the team with his passing game. After fumbling on the first possession. he promised if the defense gets a stop he will get his rhythm back. Winston finish the game 16-25, 275 YDS 1TD, 1Int.
"That interception was one of my only two mistakes, I know it's early but I can't make those mistakes as the season continues" he said in an interview after the game.
Snell command the run game late in the game but playing against a tough front 7 we still accept his output in the game.
Game Ball has to go to Kwon Alexander who impacted the game making 2 sacks, interception, and a force fumble. Defensively the Bucs are already back in regular season form. Devon Hunter didn't get the start but played in certain situations. Not sure if coach will change that going into next week. Next week our rival the Panthers come to visit winning against the Giants. We have dominated this division for the last two years and look to keep everyone at bay.
As week one of the new season is upon us let’s recap the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offseason moves.
After losing in the divisional round against the future and now current super bowl champions Dallas Cowboys all we can think about the big fumble by Mike Evans. The Bucs turned to the offseason to makes so moves to make the team better but the organization was cap space. With big contracts coming up we had to say by to well known players.
Key Departure
Tyrone Crawford
Lavonte David
Maurice Alexander
Coach says it was hard to part ways with David, he was definitely the heart and souls of our defense but we couldn’t come to an agreement with his contracting expiring.
With Free Agency we didn’t really see any talent that we wanted to spin money on that were drastic roster changes but add a few pieces that would have certain roles to fill.
SS Kenny Vaccaro
RB Kenneth Dixion
RB Aaron Jones
LB Zach Cunningham
LB Marquele Lee
LB Ukeme Eligwe
LG Ron Leary
FS Deshon Elliot
With the offseason buzzing there was a lot of talk around some two key players that have been with this organization. Vita Vea once again heard his name through the trade rumors. Supposedly there was a deal for him in return of the number 4 overall pick from the Oakland Raiders but it seems that both teams lost contact and Vikings came in offering Daneille Hunter for the same pick.
Instead the Bucs wanted to trade their first round pick due to the talent and position didn’t fit. But couldn’t get anyone to return their calls. Instead they made a very questionable decision in the first round by picking SS Devon Hunter
Draft Picks
1st Round SS Devon Hunter Virginia Tech
2nd Round OLB Ryan Bowman Washington
4th Round DT Tarim Vincent Ohio State
5th Round SS. Deontae Anderson Houston
6th Round LE Johnthan Garvin Miami
7th Round DT Nyles Pinckney Clemson
After the draft the Bucs felt they needed to add more depth to our defensive line and went and traded for Randy Gregory from the Oakland Raiders for a 4th round pick. We hope he can add dividends to rushing the QB and challenge our other Defensive ends.
With preseason we ended 3-1 but we are intrigue of the play of Devon Hunter, he was moved to LB and showed out during the preseason ending with those four games and playing great minutes with totals of 18 tackles 3 sacks 3 interceptions one for a touchdown and a force fumble. Hopefully the extreme gamble helps gets the Bucs back to the potions of competing for a Super Bowl.
Rumor has it that Mike Evans May be on the trade block with the development of young wide receivers Chico McClather and Tyler Vaughns but Owner CEO_KJR won’t let him go for cheap. “He’s a franchise player, we are always thinking in advance and how we can get better now and in the future”.
With week coming into the view and playing the Miami Dolphins Sunday evening heard a rumor we may wear the all red jerseys but we look forward to many keys:
Benny Snell JR.improving in his rookie season falling short of 2,000 yards before his injury. Will he become injury prone?
Jameis Winston able to keep the All Pro form and lead this team to a championship.
Will Mike Evans value increase in the passing game.
Is this team destined to go 16-0
We will see as week 1 kicks off at home.
We finally got to talk to the new owner of the Tampa Bay buccaneers
So CEO how does it feel to be part of the Premier madden league
It's an honor honestly been trying to get in a league like this for a few years and to find out that this league is the same lead headed by a lot of known people in the Madden community and that this community is doing some outstanding work around a CFM experience.
How do you feel about the roster that you inherit?
Honestly I don't know what the previous owner was doing regarding two roster. There's a lot of salaries and contracts for a certain individual players there, outlandish in the amount and the period of length they are worth. Defensively we felt that the team needed a change, we changed them from a 3-4 scheme to a 4-3 scheme. I think that was a great move by us for the defense and the result is definitely show the last three games for our defense gave up no more than 14 points.
About the last three games you guys have one of them be a divisional rivals, how does that make the organization feel?
The organization has the responses that they made the right decision to get the right owner for the team to make the right move for the chain so that we can go in the right direction, been in a pickle right now with the team having a great record but doesn't look to be ready to go for in the future this allows the organization and affairs to trust and believe the move that will make an upcoming future. Also shows that we are going to be a team to be reckoned with in the NFC South against our rivals and even in the league.
How do you feel about some owners saying that you given a team that was already set to make the playoffs?
I really don't care, when we acquire the organization they were in and out of the playoff picutre. After three weeks we currently are number two seed, we have walked of the NFC South title. Finally giving then fans a home game in the playoffs we are trying to bring back the same atmosphere from the last Super Bowl team in 2002.
Do you want to say to the other owners in the league?
Nope not at all, our limitations going to have a professional appeal to them, going to let our body of work do all the talking that is necessary and focus on the go or bringing a championship to Tampa Bay.
