Week 3 Post Game Recap

Najee Harris after having a quiet week 2, shows again why he's worth the hype(and 8.5 million a year). Leading tackler in the week 3 game (6) with 1 int, 1 sack, 1 FF and a TD. He had the game changing play of the week for the fins in the middle of the third. After Kaepernick had a huge run, Harris picked off his next pass, and ended Kaeps career with a stiff arm on his way to the endzone.

Week 2 Post Game Recap

Game Ball

First things first, Teddy Two gloves was the MVP of this game. Even with little preparation time, he went out there are proved why he was worth the investment. Sure timing was off on a couple throws, but he kept the ball away from the defense and led two touchdown drives, ultimately being the difference in the game.

Injury report

While it sucks losing Tunsil for any period of time, We're glad to see its only 3 weeks. Backup Sam Young filled in admirably after he went down in the first.

Offensive Impact Players

Jarvis Landry really benefited from the new QB play, as he racked up 103 yards on 6 catches after being absent the first game. All offseason Devante Parker was getting the talk of being the number one receiver with the addition of Cutler, but Teddy seems to be able to provide for both receivers and silence the Landry haters.

-Bridgewater finds landry over the middle for 20 yards.

-Landry makes a spectacular catch over the middle for 25 yards

-Landry takes a drag for 35 yards down the sideline.

-Landry catches a beautifully thrown high point pass in the back of the endzone for a 15 yard TD.

-Bridgewater places a great target pass to Parker for a 10 yard TD.

-Bridgewater to Jakeem for a 3rd and long conversion. Teddy shows his mobility and accuracy at full effect to make this play happen.

Jesse James had a solid debut with a solid 3-50 line.

-Getting open deep down the field, Jesse James makes an impact as his first game as a Dolphin.

Defensive Impact players

We had two huge plays that changed and sealed the game. The first was early in the game when Cordrea Tankersley came up with an incredible interception.

Don't think you get much better defense by Williams on that one.

The second play came late in the fourth by Raekwon McMillan. Philip Rivers on the roll out thought he had more space to lob a pass but McMillans 33" vert had different thoughts.

The secondary crushed it this game and allowed only 86 passing yards. The running game was the flaw for this team and the chargers knew it. They had a game plan to tire out the defense until gordon could bust a large run.. and that he did. His 46 yard rushing TD was the longest play in the game and he toasted defenders on his way to the end zone.

The pass rush was in full effect getting to the QB 5 times. Many of the sacks this year have been coverage sacks, and the defensive line coach will work on better technique with harris to get the most potential out of him as they can.

This Defense is number 1 in the league in points allowed, passing yards, and total yards. Can't ask for a much better start averaging just under a TD per game, Vance Joseph looks to continue his success next week against Kaep and the wastebasket of a team that is the Jets.

Week 2 Pre-Game

The question all week has been will it be Jay or Tannehill getting the first series against the chargers.
After evaluating last weeks performance by cutler, and Tannehills full week of practice we decided to go with Teddy Two Gloves!

The decision to acquire Bridgewater was an easy one. At age 24 he has years to develop and has something the coaching staff couldn't help Tannehill with. The largest reason the trade was made was due to Tanehills throwing motion taking too long and leading to missed throws and unnecessary sacks.

It shouldn't take long for Bridgewater to feel comfortable with the elite receivers surrounding him, as well as newly acquired Jesse James.

We expect to continue relying on our defense early in the season to set up our offense in positions to succeed.

Week 1

In our first matchup of the season we took on Kotb and the "confident" buccaneers. Smoking Jay came to management when signing with the dolphins and specifically asked if he could get the start week 1 to take care of some business. When asked about what beef he had with the Bucs post game, we got this response.

What we had on our hands was a defensive ground and pound game with Ajayi leading the way, surpassing 100+ yards on 21 carries. In the Redzone, the game plan was clear. Abuse the midgets. Devante parker abused Grimes and ward on his way to a 4 TD performance.

While the offense put up all the points, it was the defense who shined, and gave them great field position all day. Causing 7 turnovers, and totaling 5 sacks, Jameis and the Bucs did not stand a chance. Stand out players from the game were 2nd year player Xavien Howard, locking down star wide receiver Mike Evans( 0 Catches) on his way to 2 Ints and a sack, as well as FA acquisition Najee Harris(1 FF, 1 FR, 1 INT, 3 tck), who not only is making noise for DROY, but possibly DPOY.

All that being said. Smoking Jay definitely had his ups and downs with two very questionable decisions leading to Ints.

His performance will be evaluated and the starter will be named prior to the week 2 game.

Future additions to the write up will include, adding when the turning point of the game was. This was a great suggestion by Ace. When asked about it, he said "The turning point for you will usually be when the bus pulls into the parking lot of the stadium."  Any other suggestions feel free to send a pm to Luigi.
