I'm a die hard Cowboys fan and recently got booted out of my league for some disputes with the commish. I'm looking for a sim league on all madden only though. I'm also looking to be the Cowboys because if I'm gonna spend a lot of time in a league again I want my favorite team. Hmu if you got any openings. Gt: III RC3 III

Money Talks (Pre-Season Edition)

Money Talks (Pre-Season Edition)

The hardest position in all of sports to fill is that of a franchise quarterback. Every year you have teams fighting in the draft to get their guy that they believe will fill the role. Although with that being said its the position with highest demand, both for the prospects to fill it, and what teams expect out of those guys. Every so often however there's multiple teams dying to start over and get their franchise guy and there's actually enough decent guys to fill the demands. Recent seasons with occurrences such as this have been unwarranted with 2012 bringing in stars such as Andrew Luck who was drafted #1 overall before being traded to the Rams in 2014, Robert Griffin III who was drafted #2 overall by the Redskins, and Russell Wilson who was drafted with the #75th pick in the third round by the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson being the most successful so far winning a super bowl with the Seahawks in 2013 and winning MVP in 2015. In 2014 a similar situation occurred with Green Bay looking to the future and drafting QB Kristoff Sellers #6 overall, despite having a super bowl winning and MVP quarterback. The 2014 draft also saw qb's Kahlbuto Barker taken by Houston with the #9 pick, Billy Lopez taken by Pittsburgh #12 overall. In 2015, the first round would go similar with four QB's going in the first round; Barry Palmer #2 to Tennessee, Brent Butler #4 to Cleveland, Earlzo Dansby #9 to Chicago, and Troy Humphrey #27 to Oakland. These rookies coming into 2016 are gonna be expected to do big things right off the bat. Barry Palmer is coming in to a Titans team that went 1-15 in '14 and drafted young stud receiver Giovanni Dickerson and was on the cusp of winning the division in '15 finishing 6-10. Brent butler is coming in to a 1-15 Browns team that just traded their '14 1st round pick QB Johnny Manziel to the bills. Playing college ball with the Buckeyes Brent Butler is looking to be a hometown hero here in Ohio. He tore his acl in September and then re-tore it in the college all star game. Cleveland's owner almost took QB Troy Humphrey who fell to #27 to the Raiders before going back to his top prospect being Brent Butler. Being a Huge Buckeyes fan Doc didn't risk not getting his man, similar to 2006 when Bud Adams drafted Vince Young #3 overall. I managed to catch a word with Owner and Gm of the Browns, Doc asking him about his rookie Qb:

"We expect great things for him. Injuries held him back last year and he fell off a lot of people's draft boards. That was really fortunate for us because we had started scouting him early and knew what he was capable of. It was easy for us to establish a relationship quickly before the draft when it became apparent that he would in fact enter the draft. He was our pick no matter what pick we had....."

We'll see if the #4 overall pick in the 2016 draft can live up to expectations. High expectations are placed upon QB's and especially those drafted in the first round. Bears also took a quarterback with the #9 overall pick in this year's draft, Earlzo Dansby the mobile QB out of The U. After back to back 5-11 finishes the Bears moved on from previous franchise quarterback Jay Cutler. The Bears hope Dansby will be the guy that can lead them to the next level, dubbing their first round pick Gorilla Earlzo. Not all first round picks are coming into a bad situation though with Troy Humphrey going #27 to the Raiders who finished on top of the AFC West with a 11-5 record and are looking to repeat as division champions. There's always a lot of questions surrounding rookie quarterbacks, we'll see what ones have the answers.

Straight Cash Homie

My burning truth of stories going into the season. Look for coach RC3 to get Sophomore QB Kristoff Sellers to be efficient this season after finishing the 2015 season leading rookies in passing yards but only posting a QBR of 56. He threw for 15 Td's and 32 Int's, but led the team with 11 rushing touchdowns.... Can the Eagles defend their crown? Now that they're defending champs, they got the big target on their back. Look for everyone's best game against when philly comes to town..... How long will the Redskins losing streak continue? After going 0-16 in the 2015 campaign and having their losing streak date back to the 2014 season, can Drago get his squad back on track?.......Coach Afroman is back with the Minnesota Vikings after he left the field early in the week 11 match up against division rival Green Bay last season. Ironically Afroman said he lost his cool "because he didn't have any weed and wasn't high" contrary to the song by rapper Afroman entitled because I got high. The Vikings kick off the season with a trip to lambeau. It'll be interesting to see how that game plays out....It'll also be interesting to see if Johnny Football can turn around the lowly Bills but with the Pats and Jets in the AFC East, it's mostly unlikely because they are the Bills......And this is my straight cash homie
