Where are my Madden brothers that have families and busy lives? Where are the guys that only have time for a couple games a week instead of playing in a league that advances every other day (like most leagues?) I've been trying to organize a SIM PLAY, slower paced, General Manager focused, - Madden league. But it seems like I'm the only person that is interested in such a thing. Here's my idea.
1) You can play your games (read, kickoff begins) between 5pm EST and 11pm EST) Perhaps slightly later if games in M16 don't take 1hour/60mins
2) "Slower" advance pace. What I mean by that, is instead of advancing every 2 days like most leagues, advance every 3 days, or 72 hours.
3) General Manager focus. Some additional team management rules above and beyond (things like trade restrictions, trades with CPU allowed, additional cap penalties, whatever else we can think of to promote a more in depth Management experience).
4) A slower advance pace, in theory at least, means more time for content. I would personally head up a good deal of content including power rankings, possibly a podcast as I have done in the past, rookie previews, mvp polls etc - anything to get the league interacting really. With 48 hour advances league content is out of date the day after its put out. With only 2 advances a week, there is time to research more and enjoy more of the content that's created. Trust me, I know the normal line. "Why not just play offline" "Why not just play lobby games"
So.... where are my fellow Madden gamers that don't have time for leagues that advance every other day? I want to setup a league but I can't seem to find people that would even be interested EDIT Teams List
