Sliders of Revo

So with the new sliders comes new criticism. Understandable. Everyone wants to win and we want the game to play a certain way. We all are yearning for a football game to feel like football. We want realistic injuries but not a lot. We want our qbs to make the throws we want when we press the button. We want everyone to catch every ball thrown their way, on offense and defense. We want guys to block more but defenders to rush the qb better. It’s a fickle beast that when messed with can lead to happiness for some and anger for others. Others just want to play the game and don’t care either way.

So I decided to ask the Revo-ites what their main concerns were with the sliders. How the game played to them. And the responses were amazing. Of course with 32 different individuals you’ll never get everyone to agree. The only thing we all agree on is we want madden to play like football. We’re sick of animations and dumb glitches.

Ill stop rambling because I highly doubt most people read that anyway. Here are the responses word for word, with some pointless name calling and dumb shit redacted. I won’t use people’s names. But they can tell you what they said

On Throwing:

“DBs play better on all Pro”

”It seems ok to me”

“The PI is a bit sensitive but I think that’s good with how people bump your WR on routes all the time.”

”PI is too high”

”Lots of throws inaccurate when standing still with no pressure might just be (my qb) though”

”I don't notice a difference,Therefore. No complaints”

”I'm not a fan, but I'm also not a great player. I'd like passing to be ever so slightly easier.   Again, I suck...but I've never had this issue in past Madden but I am older”

“Think it could be tweaked. Overall I am happy the passing game is now a viable option.”

“Passing is easier. Dbs have the worst hands of alltime and drop every int”

“Passing way too easy”

”I haven't had many complaints really.  Yesterday I saw some very shitty throws on wide open receivers so not sure if that's sliders.”

“I feel like my defense doesn't defend if that helps. AI is not really helpful.. all routes get open in some form”

“What was tweaked ? Noticed some assy throws to the outside of receivers I mean I really haven't noticed much just a little more trash throws have been made.”

”Sliders are fine. Passing may be a hair difficult (or may just be me and less quality WR than other lgs).”

On Injuries:

“Injuries if they haven't.  I think they have tho, or my last game was better?”

”Fatigue causing to many inj”

”im okay with fatigue as long as the fatigue based injuries are just in game”

“Only thing I'm sure is,  I'm seeing way more injuries.”

On Offensive Line/Defensive Line play:

“Run blocking needs a buff, pass blocking needs a slight nerf, tackling needs a big nerf”

“love them. maybe make pass rush slightly better but thats about it.”

”I still see DL on my backfield incredibly fast, but that hasn't change from the start.”

”I had hella sacks week 1 but it's been tuned down since then feels like” (wasn’t tuned)

On Running:

“The run game seems a bit bogged down.”

On Gameplay:

fumbles/interceptions are way harder to come by. I only mean interceptions are hard to come by because i have dropped at least 5 wide open interceptions”

”I don't have much to compare it to. I played 3 games last year and so far 5 this year. The biggest difference that I've noticed is my offense is dead. Both running and passing. I went from right around 26pts per game to about to 16ish. It's become a lot harder for me to move the ball.”

”I’m good with them I’m not really having a problem with them”

”I feel like offense is overly difficult sometimes.”

”I haven’t been blown out yet so everything seems good man”

These are your words. And after you read it all you have to understand how difficult it is to please everyone. It goes from offense is too easy to I can’t move the ball. To I haven’t noticed a difference to Revo plays like ass. In my opinion I haven’t noticed much. A few balls sailed. A few injuries but that’s sim right? I think the sailed passes are maddens way of making qbs inaccurate. Some passes sail because when you push the button the ball is preset to go to a certain spot. Qbs aren’t off the mark a little bit like they are in real life. And it does suck when it happens in key moments. I also think madden chooses to fuck 2-3 teams a year with injuries. I’ve thought that since m16. Injuries could be off and a team would still have 5 injuries. But we’re listening. If enough people want a change we will change it. But we can’t cater to one or two guys, and that’s no dig at anyone. Look at all the different answers and try to figure a way to make it work. You please one and then you offend another.

Slider vote

THIS IS THE VOTE FOR THE DIFFICULTY WE PLAY ON FROM NOW ON AND SLIDERS. THIS WILL NEVER CHANGE AGAIN BARRING ANY PATCH UPDATE BREAKING THE GAME.

I went through the first 47 games of the year and the last 47 games of the year. Some of the games could've been CPU, but I did leave out fw and sims obviously. I checked the number of users who threw for over 200 yards. Basically we were on all pro 8 min quarters and all madden w/sliders 8 min quarters for those 94 games. What I found out is that we had 46 users out of 94 throw for over 200 yards compared to 16 out of 94 on all madden. That wasn't really the problem imo. The huge discrepancy is in sacks. Where on all pro we had 7 games out of 47 have a game with combined sacks over 8. On all madden it was 30/47. Which is what I think leads to the bad games. Fumbles. Rushed passes. Not as much the secondary. If you lowered it to combined sacks over 6 it was 14 for all pro and 40 for all madden. A lot of the games on all madden where passing was in the 100s and we had 3 in the negatives.

All in all it's basically what we know. All pro is a little easier to pass and to some they have more fun with shoot outs than not being able to play offense. All madden it's easier to play defense because of the instant pressure. We want to know what you have more fun playing. Thanks for reading and dealing with the league as we've tested things out.

Would you rather it be:
1. All-Pro
2. All-madden (what we have now)

Also to please kumar.

Minutes:
A. 8
B. 9
C. 10

Just answer with numbers and letters in pm. Thanks.

Mid-Season Power Rankings

Revo power rankings

Everyone is half way through their season so I feel it's time to piss some people off and do a power rankings. Also I'm bored at work. So here's a Sunday dose of Steel rhetoric.

1. Falcons - one loss that I'm pretty sure was a sim. Savage gets the slight edge because he was very dominant in M17.

2. Browns - Again the only blemish on Doom's record was when he went AP after Marc ducked Doom's only availability. Still a dominant player especially when his offensive numbers catch up.

3. Chiefs - Has beaten some top comp and has a 7-2 record. The stats back up this start. Also a good roster to start with so let's see if Teddy is a contender or pretender.

4. Patriots - When Kumar is on he's on. I don't know if he has enough to beat Doom, unless he plays smart and dinks and dunks.

5. Chargers - Who knows which David will show up. When David is engaged he's a great user. Or he loses to the top comp 38-3.
6. Packers - Travis has a winning record in both leagues I'm in with him. I think his record is a bit inflated because the North is pretty trash.

7. Eagles - If Blount keeps stumbling and bumbling like he's doing and Sheff gets a passing game to compliment it, he could be scary. But like the pack he is being helped by a down division.

8. Ravens - Marc's wins seem to mostly be by AP. I still don't think he has enough to beat the top comp in the AFC but he will make the playoffs more often than not.

9. Steelers - If Mike played his games he would be higher on this list. Unless he gets suspended for dumping to Bell all year long.

10. Buccaneers - Sim loss to Bills, bad loss to Vikings or the Bucs could be higher after a dominant win against the Saints that the scoreboard doesn't show.

11. Saints - This defense is garbage on paper. Randy is a better user and when he gets the players watch out. But no excuse for the offense being down.

12. Titans - Depends on what difficulty we play on. I hope old Reece comes back.

13. Bengals - Still mad. But capa can ball.

14. Texans - even on all pro when offense is 'supposedly super easy the Texans are bottom 5 in every offensive category...

15. Seahawks - Paul took over the hawks but he's a usually good user. This is all about past experience.

16. Redskins - if he keeps giving up 300 yards rushing he's done.

17. Raiders - he beat bos and Reece.

18. Jets - Mr. I can't throw leads the league.

19. Cowboys - More zeek = More wins.

20. Dolphins - is Jay4 even around? Or is this the CPU

21. Cardinals - worse internet than Syracuse Mike

22. Rams - talks about as much as he wins...

23. Jaguars - new guy so I'll let him live for now.

24. Vikings - Cabin is supposed to be good. He beat me in a nail biter.

25. 49ers - Will the real Halpin please stand up?

26. Panthers - All pro jason > all madden Jason

27. Broncos - too busy being from Mississippi to be any good.

28. Bears - PLAY YOUR GAMES.

29. Giants - My boy Billy, it's always a win when you're not 32.

30. Colts - He said it himself 'I was trying and still lost by 30.'

31. Lions - baby Randy fell off, or can you not fall off if you're never any good.

32. Bills - his only win is a sim against me. Dumb work got in the way or he'd be in the lead for the number one pick

NFC North Preview Article

So I just finished up the AFC North so I feel it's only fitting to go to the NFC North. It's definitely an interesting division. It's not one of the best and it's not one of the worst. It should be a very competitive division. If Travis can be a good player then anyone, besides cabin, can win that division.

If you missed the AFC North it's right here:

Chicago Bears - BTG:

Who's Brick gonna piss off  and who's he gonna cry about this year. Last year a user made a spreadsheet of his playcalls and he called cover 3 more. Then he cried about pinching the line of another user and he threw to his TE 80% of the time. Luckily for him he's in a division with two of the bless squad and Travis usually has more of a whatever attitude. The Bears absolutely suck. Like the worst team in madden almost. They're so bad. They drafted horribly and they suck. Did I say they're bad?

Offense: What's there honestly on this offense to get excited about? Trub? Maybe if QBs actually matter. It's always more fun to start with a rookie QB who you can make what you want. Especially one with some speed and throw power. Jordan Howard is the only bright spot on this offense. 22 with 90 speed and a power back. Brick did pretty good with Ivory last year so he should be ecstatic about Howard. Kevin White used to be a huge get but now he's completely nerfed besides having 93 speed, 25 years old means he isn't going to be able to be developed into the monster he was two years ago. The offensive line is dead center in blitz pickup. Only 2 starters are under 28 and they're 25 years old. Adam Shaheen isn't a blazer but he's young and 81 speed should be usable since everything else is going to need upgraded

Offense Analysis: Ew. This team reeks of dead rot. Trub and Howard will be around the length of the cfm and possibly Shaheen, but this is madden and speed kills. The Oline is going to need to be upgraded and to get younger very quickly. Cameron Meredith isn't exactly a madden WR so if Kevin White can't be developed WR is priority number one in the draft. Stop gaps, Markus Wheaton, Kendall Wright, Ruben Randle, and Victor Cruz aren't gonna cut it. This ain't the 2010 Giants.

Defense: luckily the defense doesn't need as much work as the offense. But that's not saying much. Cornerstones for the length of this cfm will more than likely be Eddie Goldman, Adrian Amos, Leonard Floyd, and for the most part Kyle Fuller. Aging players like Akiem Hicks, Prince Amukamara, Danny Trevathan, Quintin Demps and Pernell McPhee can hold their own til players are devved or drafted. There really isn't a good young user LB. Bryce Callahan has madden speed but no skill. This team is stuck at mediocre on defense. Moves need to be made.

Defense analysis: because of the lack of a great user in this division this defense as it's constructed now could be used to win the division and make the playoffs. If BTG wants to start the youth movement now it wouldn't be the worst idea. I'd stick to a 3-4 for one year with Bullard, Goldman, and Hicks. Let McPhee and Floyd rush the passer and keep the slower MLB. But this team isn't going to go deep when he's going to have to face savage, me, Randy, or possibly sheff if he got good again. Luckily for him the NFC isn't as deep as the AFC so he could be ok for a season

Scrappy players to use:
Jonathon Bullard - Dline - a young strong dlineman who can play dt or 3-4 de.
Tarik Cohen - Rb - 92 speed rb with 90 juke and 22 years old

Overall: Brick isn't really the offensive mastermind. So maybe having a shitty offense won't hurt him so much. It definitely needs upgraded asap though. I can see brick drafting top 5 or early playoff spot because of the lack of talent in this division. A WR and a user LB are the first positions I'd upgrade. Callahan and Fuller can be your corners for a few years while Prince declines or goes to safety. Goldman and Bullard should solidify the middle of a dline for a long time. The first season will say it all. I think whoever wins this division year one will be the one who wins it a majority of the time. This could be Bricks division to give away if he can fix this team a bit.

Predictions:

Wins: 10
Playoffs: 50%
Farthest they'll go: Divisional Round
Biggest rival: Tony
Biggest bully: Savage

Detroit Lions - Tony:

Tony's always been a middling player, hovering around 7-9 to 9-7 unless someone hands him over a 9-1 team. Tony's usually not a terrible user. I wouldn't call him elite but I think he's one of the players who could use a new madden and it catapult him into a playoff contender. Sorta like Marc. Which is weird they're both part of the Stafford cult. The good news is he isn't in a division with Reece, Danny, and semi kumar. He could be a pretender because of the weak division or he could use it as a stepping stone to being a great madden player. You got this baby Randy.

Offense: Another so-so offense. Stafford is getting old but qbs are usually regression resistant so he should be ok for a few years. With 98 throw power he could likely be the lions QB for the length of the cfm. Golden Tate is a solid WR but he's getting old and he doesn't have the madden speed. The offensive line is just outside the top ten in blitz pickup and the good starters are getting old. Tyler Decker will be good as a LT for the cfm but that's about it. Ebron will likely be the focal point of this offense in the sky until Kenny Golladay can step in and become Megatron 2.0. In guessing Abdullah will be the work horse and Lions homer Tony will use him the whole time. Hopefully he doesn't die every year like he did last year.

Offense Analysis: only a Lions fan would like to use this offense. Golladay could be fun and Ebron is a prototypical Madden TE. Other than that it all needs upgraded. Abdullah lacks break away speed but if shifty backs matter again he should be useful. As long as regression doesn't murder Stafford he'd be fun too. But the offensive line needs addressed immediately and a WR2.

Defense: Studs Darius Slay and Ezekiel Ansah help ease you into realizing that this team doesn't have too many other playmakers. Rookie Jarrad Davis will be a great user and Tahir Whitehead will hold the LB core. But the rest of the defense is either young and needs developed or past the madden age to be devved. Nevin Lawson and DJ Hayden can play a little corner but they're going to need upgraded. None of the safeties jump out at you. So unless Slay can cover 3 guys this secondary needs improving from day one. Ansah can create some pressure and A'Shawn Robinson could be great but the dline is going to be trash. With Run Run Run BTG that's going to be a problem.

Defense analysis: Its not a playoff caliber defense from day one it needs help. But if Brick goes into tank mode or can't win year one I believe the secondary could at least help Tony take this division. I'd draft another edge rusher or fast olb to play de in the first few rounds but I'd address the safety first and foremost.

Scrappy players to use:
Teez Tabor - CB - I'm always hyped about 21 and under players.

Overall: It's not that sorry of a squad. Nothing about it really excites me besides Jarrad Davis. The secondary is going to need upgraded to compete. The other LB are meh. The dline needs devved and sometimes that's hard to do. Usually getting a top notch wr in the draft means drafting top 5 and if Tony wants to win in year one he's obviously not going to be able to do that. Everything else on offense is good enough to use and win with but nothing feels exciting. Guess you have to suffer an 0-16 season to be hyped about this team. With all that said. Year one will be the easiest year for Tony. Travis is really the only one I see to compete with him if Brick tanks because of the Packers roster.

Predictions:

Wins: 8
Playoffs: 16.5%
Farthest they'll go: wildcard round
Biggest rival: Brick
Biggest bully: Randy

Green Bay Packers - Travis:

Travis is another schizo user. He doesn't know if he wants to be good or not. Usually he can hang with the good users and he beats the bad. I remember in m15 when Travis was able to consistently have a top passing offense. The Packers are definitely the team to do that with. If good Travis comes out then he could rule this division or at least compete with Brick for it. If not he's going to throw 10 picks a game and break my interceptions in a year record by week 7.

Offense: Aaron Rodgers is one of the best passers in the NFL and with 97 thp he should be around for awhile in revo even though he's 33. The weapons around him aren't as young as they used to be but they're still really good for a year or two. Jordy is a great possession WR for a run in year one. Cobb and Adams aren't madden WRs but they're solid enough to be used for a few years. TE needs upgraded because Bennett is old and slow. The offensive line is top 5 in blitz pickup and outside of one player they're all in there madden prime. Ty Montgomery is a solid all around runner who could be used until a better option comes around.

Offense Analysis: Outside of TE this offense is meant for a year one playoff run. If Travis can't make it with this offense in year one in this division then the future is bleak. Yes after a few years this offense could be better with a drafted WR to develop into a true number one and a TE. This offense is great on paper in year one.

Defense: Starting with the first weak spot on this team, the secondary. It's not a glaring weakness. The safeties are good but not fast. HaHa is a great in the box safety but the lack of speed makes him vulnerable in the pass. Kevin King will be a great CB if devved and Randall should be serviceable if he's able to be devved quick or has a great year. I'd run a 4-3 with Perry and Clay on the end with Clark and Daniels inside. Jake Ryan is the best LB on this team and Blake Martinez could be useful until an upgrade comes along. With a user MLB the defense front seven is set from the beginning.

Defense analysis: if Randall was younger I'd go LB early in the draft but if a trade can't be found for one of those two positions it's going to need addressed. The dline should be able to stop the run and rush the passer without having to send extra guys. Especially in year one but if Clay falls off quickly then an edge rusher will be needed.

Scrappy players to use:
Josh Jones - S - 89 hit power. 92 speed. 22 years old.
Kentrell Brice - S - 84 hit power. 91 speed. 23 years old.

Overall: the best overall team in the north for sure. The offense is there to put up points because we all know Travis can't play defense. The defense is good enough to cover and stop the run from day one. I'd look to go deep year one and make a big trade for a CB or LB. Like I said earlier, if Travis has a great year one it could spring board him into the lead for this division and give him a leg up for every season.

Predictions:

Wins: 9
Playoffs: 33%
Farthest they'll go: wildcard round
Biggest rival: Halpin
Biggest bully: Steel

Minnesota Vikings - Cabin:

To be honest I don't know much about Cabin. I think I only played him once and that was in rfd. He played me pretty tight. But going off of past success and others thoughts he's going to be in the bottom third of users. Luckily he isn't stuck in a division with a dominant player. So he can get his footing in a weaker division inside a weaker conference.

Offense: first things first...is Teddy in the game? I'm guessing he will be, madden gave him ratings. Even though he broke his leg off madden doesn't care and gave him 82 speed and he still has 90 throw power while being 24. The Vikings picked up Latavius Murray who will unseat probably one of the best madden backs ever in Adrian Peterson. But will he start with a stable of Jerrick McKinnon and rookie Dalvin Cook behind him. Stefon Diggs and your choice of either Laquan Treadwell or Michael Floyd as starting receivers. Kyle Rudolph is a good possession tight end but with 77 speed will he be able to break away from fast linebackers and safeties. The worst part about this offense is the lowest rated blitz pickup offensive line.

Offense Analysis: the skill positions are pretty good. Unfortunately Rudolph is better suited on the bench or only when you need a definite catch or redzone purposes. The offensive line is abysmal and is going to need upgraded with multiple early draft picks. If offensive line matters Teddy might break his other leg off with all the instant pressure. The skill positions outside of Murray should last the length of the cfm otherwise. I'd look to trade a RB for some offensive line help.

Defense: Now the defense on the other hand has very little holes. The defensive line across the board is one of if not the best in the game. Hunter-Joseph-Floyd-Griffen will rush the passer and generate push in the rushing game. With users like Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr you can get one more LB to play on first down to help stop the run. If the defensive line wasn't so good the secondary would be the highlight of this team. The corners can go four deep with Rhodes, Waynes, Mac Alexander and Terrence Newman. Harrison Smith is one of the best in the box coverage safeties in the game. He lacks speed but he makes up for it with 92 zone. Sendejo is an ok stop gap but I'd probably put Newman in there.

Defense analysis: A linebacker and a safety and this defense could stick around for a few seasons as is. Yes most of the players are in their late twenties but the linebackers have to speed to stay relevant and dline doesn't take as big of a hit in regression. No offense to Cabin but if the Vikings had a good user this team is Super Bowl ready from the start.

Scrappy players to use:
Bucky Hodges - TE - heir to TE imo. 87 speed 89 accel 92 jump. At 22. All you need.

Overall: It's an amazing team to start with. You have a stable of running backs you could pawn off. Starting WR who will catch the ball. A young QB and TE that could last the length of the cfm. The defense is top 5 in my eyes. They can stop the pass, have the line to control the run and a few user LB who could be made to be great very quickly. To be in the hunt for playoffs you have to upgrade that oline right away. Maybe Cabin can use the better overall team as a launching point to having a great m18. I doubt it though.

Predictions:

Wins:4
Playoffs: 0%
Farthest they'll go: be relevant til week 8
Biggest rival: Billy
Biggest bully: BTG

The NFC North is a weird division. Could be three teams vying for a spot every year or it could be one team just running through it winning the division year in and year out. I hope it's more competitive than I think.

AFC North preview article

With madden releasing in 3 weeks worldwide, or in 18 days for the GOAT edition or even 13 days where EA Access users get to play ten hours before the game is dropped I figured I'd do my first article for the year. As I ignore my kids swimming in the pool while I'm on vacation I'm going to dive deep into a game I hated last year for a group of individuals I don't really like (kidding) and most who won't read this.

So I'm going to do the most in depth article, the season preview. By season I mean the length of madden 18. Even tho the odds say a few users will ghost on us. A few will hate the game and leave. Reece will suck and cry and say he has to put more wind turbines on his house. Billy will stay even tho he'll win less games than mike will be suspended. Doom will either be really good or he'll be good but choke in the big games. Will the league be less cheesy without immy, steph, and Joey? Will they come back? Who's getting an article about them and their play call? But most importantly, do I pull a savage and win multiple Super Bowls and finally get that monkey off my back?

Maybe these questions will be answered. But I'm ready for football and madden. I'm hyped. It's like a reality tv show for 6 months while everyone is engaged. Then 3 months of just watching because you already started. Then 3 months of just second guessing everything followed by EA using the little men in black flash light thing on us so we're hyped for m19.

Without further ado I'm going to start this 8 part article with the second best division in Revo, the AFC North:

Baltimore Ravens - Bos:

One of the 'with practice makes perfect' users. Marc came into rfd15 relatively unknown and with good reason. He sucked. I don't remember anything really about his Vikings team besides they had a decent qb and Marc never really won much. The only thing he did less than win, was talk. In revo16 bos picked up both. Getting some wins against amazing users and talking and interacting with us. I believe bos is some weird youtuber in Scotland who plays American football on the weekends and is up every four after after he takes an hour nap. Which led to him being a contender for the playoffs in every league he was in with me in m17. I think if he wants to continue on that success he needs to build his team quickly because this division will not be a cake walk like his other divisions in m17 minus immy.

Offense: I mean the one big get with getting the Ravens has always been Breshad Perriman. But this is two years after his rookie season and he's a 95 speed with some height. So yes he's still intriguing but if madden has the same progression/regression system he's not going to be as good as fast and he's going to regress quicker. Luckily the Ravens picked up Jeremy Maclin and Mike Wallace will be useful for a season. The Ravens offensive line is mediocre and they rank in the bottom quarter for the new blitz pickup mechanic. There's nothing fun at running back and the tight ends are just all meh guys besides 6'6 freak Darren Waller who could be solid after a season. Joe Flacco has a crazy bad contract and he's never been someone you 'want' to use in madden.

Offense analysis: this team is not fun to play with offensively. Yea you could make Perriman a beast but we need to see P/R. And Waller will most definitely be used. But after that you have a mediocre Oline, no cornerstone at running back, no qb for the future. Marc is a good drafter and can build some teams. So if things work out he could have a great generated offense after a few years.

Defense: outside of Kamalei Correa, CJ Mosley, and Marlon Humphrey this defense is lacking just as much as the offense. Eric Weddle will be good for a year before he retires and Tony Jefferson is solid but both are slow for madden especially in a division where Doom and Mike love speed Cheese. The defensive line is atrocious. I'm guessing Mosley will be strong side backer. One of the fast young guys will be a user. Correa will play de. Jimmy smith can solidify one cb spot til bos can draft some Doom stoppers.

Defensive Analysis: I think Bos can get by on offense for another year so he should really upgrade this defense. The key to beating Mike and Doom is by getting pressure and limiting turnovers (I know I know that works for everyone but bear with me). So barring any trades he should definitely look to get some dline and some secondary in the draft. I can really only see three guys playing for the Ravens defense the length of this cfm.

Some scrappy players to use:
Chris Wormley - Dline - 88 accel and 300 lbs is hard to find. He could be a good player after some dev.
Donald Payne - LB - 89 jumping. 85 hit power. 90 accel. 86 speed. 23 years old. He looks like the prototypical user.

Overall: This team is lacking talent for sure, but so were the jets last year and Marc made them into a playoff contender. After a draft or two I believe Marc will compete for second place every year. Mike has a stacked team and Doom is Doom. If Capa can go back to m15/16 Capa then unfortunately one of these teams at least will miss the playoffs every year which could be Marc.

Predictions:
Wins: average 10 a year
Playoffs (out of 6 years): 50% of the time
How far they'll go: conference championship game
Biggest rival(player they'll split with): Mike
Biggest bully(player they'll lose a lot to): Doom

Cincinnati Bengals - Capa:

Capa is like your favorite athlete that was good and on the cusp of being great then he had a down year and every year after that you just know they'll make the comeback. Think of Mike Vick after the dog fighting. He was always in the playoffs in rfd and when he got called up to revo he made his presence known for a little while. Then he fell off and last year he was in and out and never really climbed back to where he was. This year he'll have some competition and maybe that will help him with his stick skills. Have to beat the best to be the best.

Offense: This is definitely one of the more loaded teams on offense. The best player is Aj Green who will be dominant for a year or two at least. Of course when you talk about wr or this team it's all about John Ross. Who comes out of the blocks with 98 speed. We saw a glimpse last year what capa can do with some quick good wr with Sriracha. Running back is loaded with Gio and Jeremy, but also rookie woman beater Joe Mixon. Tyler Eifert is still really good despite being injured last year. Andy Dalton is useable from the beginning now that he doesn't start with a noodle arm. The skill is definitely there with this team. The trenches on the other hand are severely lacking. They're 30th for blitz pickup. The best offensive lineman is 16th overall on their team. If oline finally matters then that needs upgraded asap because the skill won't matter without it.

Offense analysis: The WR, RB, TE are all young and solid for a few seasons. Andy Dalton is probably regression proof and will be useable at least for a few years. I'd look for some offensive line help via trade if you want to compete quickly. Tons of trade chips with the stable of rb and wr. Barring that oline matters.

Defense: The team has some skill all around the defense. Some older really good players like Geno Atkins, Carlos Dunlap, Vontaze Burfict, and Vincent Rey. Younger players who need devved like Will Jack, Andrew Billings, Jordan Willis, Marquis Flowers. And some middling players that if progression is a little better could be solid starters like Darqueze Dennard, George Iloka, and Shawn Williams. There's not many holes year one that need filled on this team.

Defense analysis: I'd definitely stick to the 4-3 and build up some secondary. This division will for sure have some tall fast WR so they will need devved first for sure. This is a great offensive division so those young dline need fixed to stuff the run once Atkins starts to decline. Burfict and Rey aren't the best LB to have for madden either so younger faster options will need drafted

Scrappy players to use:
Josh Malone and Cody Core - WR - basically the same player with 90+ speed and accel. And 80+ catch and spec catch.
Jordan Evans - LB - 88 speed. 90 acell. 90 jump.

Overall: this team has talent to compete right away. The roster advantage, if Capa can capitalize, will catapult him into a playoff contender right away every year. If he gets off to a slow start he could lose the advantage he has. Playing the NFC north should help. I can definitely see this team being in the playoffs year one.

Predictions:

Wins: 9 a year
Playoffs: 25% of the time
Farthest they'll go: Divisional round
Biggest rival: Reece
Biggest bully: Mike

Cleveland Browns - Doom:

Doom goes back to where it started, Cleveland. Will he use another rookie qb and second year receiver to dominate the AFC north? Doom is definitely one of the top players in revo. If not the best, unless you ask Marc. Doom always knows the little ins and outs to make his team just a little better than yours. By either having a basketball team in the secondary. Or getting some midgets who run fast. Or using 5 LBs at all time on defense with 88 speed. So we'll see how Doom cheeses the game this year but it will some how be legal.

Offense: This team was kind of built for Doom. Speed at TE. Speed at QB. Speed at RB. Speed at WR. I know Doom doesn't believe in offensive line but his is the 7th best at blitz pick up. So either he can use those as trade chips or if madden is fixed he has a solid offensive line that matters. I assume Doom will draft some speed freak WR in the first two rounds to compliment Corey Coleman. He'll find some underrated 6'2 guy on someone's team to trade for to have a nice slot guy. Njoku is 21 with 85 speed so I expect him to be around for the length of the cfm. I also expect doom to use Kizer and somehow up his speed or look for him to trade for Johnny 'Money' Manziel to finish off the nostalgia. He has higher rated running backs, Duke Johnson and Isaiah Crowell. But if Darius Jackson is on the roster I expect him to be used like a Raheem Mostert

Offense analysis: the offense is very good for madden. They're all low overall but athletic freaks. The offensive line is solid and if it matters will be a huge coup for Doom. I still see him drafting a fast wr or rb if Darius Jackson isn't up to his standard or even on the team. This team on paper is pretty set offensively for the length of the cfm.

Defense: this is the tricky part. Do you go 3-4 with Kirksey and Collins in the middle while Garrett and Ogbah harass the qb from olb. Or do you go conventional 4-3 and solidify your olb spots with Collins and Kirksey, user a middle backer (of course) and trade Shelton for some true 4-3 DTs. Hopefully for us Doom tries to follow me and use a safety because he's way worse usering them over a MLB. Who knows. Maybe now that he can't hold Y the whole time he won't be as good at either. Peppers and Pryor are the only bright spots in the secondary. Haden and McCourty are old and Jamar Taylor is old for madden purposes. They'll be good for a season but I'd upgrade quickly to compete with Mike, Kumar and Danny who can all throw when needed.

Defense analysis: This team has pieces in the front seven with Ogbah and Myles on the outside for the length of the cfm and Kirksey, Collins for a few years before regression hits. Shelton is a solid interior guy and the safeties should be useful. I'd upgrade corner via trade or draft.

Scrappy players to use:
Caleb Brantley - DL - 89 strength. 79 pmv. 80 bsh. 83 pursuit.

Overall: Solid across the board. There really isn't any glaring weakness madden wise anywhere. Doom can dev with the best and he's a great user. Wins=XP and he'll get plenty of both. He's not that far behind the Steelers and bengals talent wise on the roster. He'll be a 90 overall after year one.

Predictions:

Wins: 12
Playoffs: 100%
Farthest they'll go: 1 super bowl
Biggest rival: Danny
Biggest bully: Kumar

Pittsburgh Steelers - Mike:

Mike is one of the users who's gameplay is and will always be in question. He makes it so easy to rag on. Either when he comes in wasted off two ciders or his crazy blocks of messages that no one reads. Maybe it's when he accuses others of breaking the rules when he constantly bends them in his favor. Or could it be when he brings up bizarre rule changes that make no sense. Whatever it is he's polarizing. Now that he has his favorite team we'll never hear the end of how 'he knows exactly how to build them and how great he's going to be. Good thing Doom is in his division and the rest of them are pretty good too. Without Henry but adding in Bell will he continue his success.

Offense: This is definitely one of the better offensive teams. Vets Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown are big gets. Ben is basically regression proof for 3 years and Brown should be ok for two years. Bell is a workhorse in the backfield as the top rated running back. Luckily Martavis doesn't have to worry about the marijuana policy only Mikes cheesy suspensions. Rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster is an interesting 20 year old prospect to replace brown and TE Jesse James will be a solid player to use after the Steelers released Ladarius Green. The offensive line is number one in blitz pickup. Even though it's an old bunch they'll still be useful for a few years together.

Offense analysis: the offense is great for the first two years of the cfm. If JuJu and James are devved and a qb is drafted to replace Ben if he ever falters they won't skip a beat. Bell and Bryant will be here the length of the cfm. Losing Foster after year one probably and eventually Pouncey and Gilbert the Oline will need devved but probably not drafted right away. This team should put up points from the getgo.

Defense: the strength of this team is always the front seven and this year is no different. First round draft pick TJ Watt will be a monster after a year especially opposite the athletic freak Bud Dupree. Mike typically runs a 4-3 but with the Steelers he may opt to stay 3-4. Either way he'll have the parts. Tuitt-Hargrave-heyward is a stud 3-4 dline and they can hold their own in the middle of a 4-3. Obviously Shazier with his amazing athleticism will be usered often. Vince Williams isn't a bad olb in a 4-3 and will be a great MLB in 3-4. The secondary isn't as bad as it usually is because of the solid play by Cockrell and Artie Burns. Sean Davis is an amazing madden safety and Mike Mitchell is Mike Mitchell, a meh player who will only play cuz of no one else until he's replaced.

Defense analysis: definitely a better 3-4 team for year one than 4-3. After a draft or two and Heyward declines maybe you can move to a 4-3 but it would be hard to force those players into spots. Especially when year one is the only year the Steelers will be definitively better than the rest of the division. I'd draft a corner right away seeing that as need number one and a safety almost right after that. Like I've said with the other two non Doom teams. Speed is king and you're going to need some corners who can stop it.

Scrappy players to use:
Josh Dobbs - QB - 84 speed and 91 thp are exactly what you want to start with for a qb. Especially one who will sit behind Ben for a few years.

Overall: no homerism here, one of the better teams to start with in madden. They aren't the youngest so you'll have to develop young talent quick and you'll need to draft some players to fill critical needs. But the main positions that matter are deep. I can see Bell filling the Henry shoes quickly and Bryant being one of the best in revo. Shazier will be up there in user picks. Hopefully for Mike he can capitalize on the roster advantage and use it to take the division in year one. Because after that he won't have it so easy.

Predictions:

Wins: 11
Playoffs: 82.5%
Farthest they'll go: Conference Championship
Biggest rival: Marc
Biggest bully: Doom

Contenders and Pretenders

Alright guys. I haven't done an article for a very long time. You may remember it. It was the Cheese rankings. Today I'm going to look at some of the playoff contenders and pretenders. With everyone playing at least 12 games let's see who will finish strong in the last quarter of the season and who will inevitably fizzle out. Let's get it started with the NFC.

NFC South:

Atlanta Falcons - Former super bowl champ, 11-1, and plays the Bucs, Panthers, Giants, and Niners. Not the easiest schedule. More than likely will finish 3-1 at least. The Bucs will complain to a loss while zoning out. J5 is a push over. Cheesy Ryan/Joey will be a good matchup. And who knows if Ricardo will show up. Probably better he doesn't so Hubbard can't get 15 picks in one game. Max is a great user and like I said earlier he has already won a ring. His defense is number one in points allowed, fourth in yards allowed. Offense is fourth in scoring. He'll definitely have a bye and will always be a contender for the super bowl.
Final Thoughts: CONTENDER

New Orleans Saints - Randy is a very streaky player. He's usually good defensively and can play offense enough to win games otherwise known as cheesing Cooks. If the running game isn't working though and Randy needs to rely on throwing, watch out. Insults and shade will be thrown out after the game towards madden and his opponent. With games remaining against Panthers, Rams, Redskins, and Bucs, all playoff hopefuls, Randy controls his destiny. If he can beat the Rams and Skins and splits with his division rivals he'll be in the playoffs. Although I don't see Randy making a big splash in the post season I think he'll make it. Hopefully Res is the only commish around to advance if Randy makes the conference championship game.
Final Thoughts: PRETENDER

Carolina Panthers - Nothing ever jumps out at you when you talk about j5 and his team other than interception totals. Through 12 games he already has 46 with poor Tyrod. And 48 on the year. Yikes! His offense is middling. Same with his defense. Only bright spot is being seventh in the league in rushing. Remaking games against the Saints,  Falcons, Hawks, and Boys it doesn't look promising. If Jason can go 3-1 he has a shot at playoffs but there are a lot of teams going to finish around the 9-7 mark
Final Thoughts: PRETENDER

Tampa Bay Bucs - I'm only putting him here because the NFC is top heavy with three teams then just a bunch of .500 teams, and he just beat me. He's a good user and if he can win out he has a chance. That's all I'm going to say.

NFC North:

Detroit Lions - This team puts up points and keeps them off the board. The offense is a well oiled machine that's top ten in points, yards, and passing yards and right outside the top in rushing. The defense is holding people under 100 yards rushing and is top ten in yards allowed, Pass yards, and points allowed. The division has been in turmoil with people retiring and not playing, but Danny plows through it like Zion Williamson going to the hole. Danny will get a bye and it will be great to see him and Savage in the NFC championship game.
Final Thoughts: CONTENDER

Green Bay Packers - obviously this is only if kumar plays or if he's here. He's never counted out. He runs the table and makes the playoffs watch out
Final Thoughts: PLAY YOUR GAMES

NFC East:

New York Giants - The Giants are only a game ahead in their division with games against each division member and the Falcons left. I see Ryan losing to max but sweeping the division and winning it again. The 7-6 record has to be a mistake or a bunch of sims. We'll see if he can turn this ship around and make some noise come post season time. The offense is hot and the defense ain't too shabby either.
Final Thoughts: CONTENDER IF HE CAN GET THE DANNY MONKEY OFF HIS BACK

Washington Redskins/Dallas Cowboys - I'm lumping these two together because they are pretty much the same and both have tough schedules coming up. I don't see either making the playoffs. Jlo is having a studly season defensively. And zeke is being zeke. But other than that these guys will probably go a combined 1-7 in their remaining games.
Final Thoughts: GIT GUD

NFC West:

Seattle Seahawks - He's the one who will come out of the War of Attrition division. This division is bad. Ricardo started strong. But fell off the map. Jesse and Res are too busy buttfucking each other to take this division. Halpin has his typical offense. Good rushing. Shit passing. Decent defense. But if you cover the te and rb you're good. If Halpin would just open it up one game he could knock off Max or Danny. But he won't. He's too conservative.
Final Thoughts: PRETENDER

OK now onto the cheesiest conference ever, the AFC.

AFC East:

Buffalo Bills - Sorry guys this blurb is going to take awhile. I'm going to have to edit it every sentence. Audible the way I write or what I'm writing about. This is already the fourth or fifth time I changed it.....

...ok the play clock is dwindled down and I'm ready to put this paragraph in motion. Get ready for Imren to call 17 different hot routes, pull defenders off the line, user a de in the middle but call him a lb or cheese perriman because the computer screwed him in a 39-8 game. He'll be in the playoffs. And probably have a bye. His stats are good obviously because he's the shadiest fucker in the league now that steph is gone. He'll probably choke some where along the line tho. All the AFC teams do it.
Final Thoughts: CHEESY

New York Jets - an organization that is completely different from its nemesis in the east. Classy and hard working. The only similarity is the choking part. I don't know if Marc has ever made it to a conference championship game in any league. Poor guy. His receiving core has tons of knowledge but they also each have a walker they bring into the huddle. He'll probably end up the 5 seed. Playing a good game but losing first round.
Final Thoughts: PRETENDER

AFC North:

Pittsburgh Steelers - This team has a pretty good offense but a struggling, or you could say a dirt road, defense. Matt hasn't really beat anyone elite. Losing to Marc and Immy but shellacking Capa who hasn't been all that impressive. His record is bloated by playing the second place schedule and the NFC west. I don't see him going too far in playoffs but he'll more than likely win the north
Final Thoughts: PRETENDER

Cincinnati Bengals - Capa has bright spots and times when it looks like his team just quit on him. Is it time to fire the coach, hang em up, retire? Who knows. Hopefully he plows through this and gets the 6 seed in the playoffs. He has three absolutely winnable games with the Dolphins, Ravens, and Steelers.
Final Thoughts: CONTENDING PRETENDER

AFC West:

San Diego Chargers - Its doom so you already know what I'm going to say. He'll win enough to get the bye in the AFC. He'll choke because he sucks and hasn't played in awhile and then we'll all wonder if doom fell off. Or he runs through the playoffs while creating another little light skin who will be some beast athlete. Who knows
Final Thoughts: CONTENDER

Oakland Raiders - I don't know much about the Raiders. He did just put up 355 yards with Will Fuller. *sighs from buffalo* His offensive stats are middle of the pack and his defensive stats kinda blow. He could win 3 of 4 against the Vikings chiefs and broncos and lose to lions which would put him in a great position for the wild card.
Final Thoughts: PRETENDER

AFC South:

Jacksonville Jaguars - Another user who is decent at running but can't put games together. And I mean he runs the same plays repetitively. Another user who never plays man and uses that as a crutch to have a very good yards allowed and the number one pass d. If he doesn't Cheese his rookie tight end he'll never win. Stop the run and control Wilkerson you'll be good. I don't know why I included him. He'll lose his last three games against the Texans, Steelers, and jets.
Final Thoughts: PRETENDING PRETENDER

Indianapolis Colts - who the fuck is playing for David. When has he ever been good or competed for a playoff spot. Insert 'am i taking crazy pills meme'. He's leading the south by half a game and he has a dead center offense and defense. Obviously if he wins out he'll take the crown. He has the titans, Texans and patriots left.
Final Thoughts: CHOKING PRETENDER

Tennessee Titans - Has mike given up on the Cheese. With a .500 record, top 5 in rushing, top 5 in defensive scoring, number one rush d and overall yardage has led to 6 wins and losses. With losses to the bills, chargers, Falcons, jagsx2 and Bucs you see the record. Why does btg own him? Who knows. But like all south teams mike controls his destiny with two games against the Texans. A game with chiefs and colts. Mike could go 0-4 or 4-0. I don't know. All I do know is 'the cheese is coming'
Final Thoughts: IF HE DOESNT CHOKE REGULAR SEASON, CONTENDER

Houston Texans - Where did it all go wrong? The trade for Cam was supposed to springboard this team into the playoffs easily. Cam only has 20 interceptions which is way less than he's used to. The running game just isn't there, being 29th in the league. Points are still being score with a top 10 scoring offense. The run d is top ten. Same with the scoring d. The stats are there just not the wins. The sim loss to the chargers and the losses to the beatable Bucs, chiefs, and colts will be the dark spots if this team misses the playoffs. If the offense clicks this team will look to finally make noise in the post season. They could for sure win their first game. I see big things and them running the table starting with the titans twice, colts, and jags. Could this year be the year, ooh I needed that.
Final Thoughts: CONTENDER

The cheese olympics

Welcome to a Revo article that has everything you want, lists, accusations, drama, hate, and witty banter by the best writer in Revo. Welcome to the Cheese List. The guys at the top of the list may not be cheesy or good but when you get to the bottom it's going to get so gooey. This article is based on 78% what users have said 12% on my opinion 15% on their trolling behavior, 3% on their blind eye to the cheese, 17% on how many suspensions they've had and 2% on facts because who needs those. Let's get to it:

The 'Literally not cheese at all and is the most sim player on the planet' group:

Steel- honestly he's not cheesy at all. Splits up man and zone on defense. Throws and runs at almost 50/50. If he became just a tad cheddar he'd win every super bowl. So he doesn't so everyone else can have a chance.

The 'I'm not very good I don't even know what cheese is' group:

Knash- knashville is a solid user. He surprises some people. Never once have I ever felt the cheese from him.

Guff- Pretty much everything said above applies to McGuffy.

Gordo- I don't want to be too harsh cuz I'm afraid he'll cut down the river not across the road. Decent user who has never been much for cheese.

The 'I'm a decent user and I would win more if invent the rules a bit' group:

David- David plays by the book and mixes everything up. No complaints here.

El Niño- pretty good user that can't get defense down without the old defensive line button mashing. So in reality madden took away his cheese. Weird.

The 'I'm so safe and all I do is run the ball and play defense and occasionally throw to my tight end' group:

Halpin- Halpin was good...for one season. His 3 yards and a cloud of dust no turnover offense is his downfall. If he starts to open up a bit he could be good. Could.

Ric- If he wasn't a fake jets/cowboys fan he would follow the patriots. He is the madden belicheck with his two tight end offense.

Res- Res is mediocre, unless he's running for 2000 yards with some cheesy back and getting instant pressure.

The 'I don't know what it is, it's not cheese but they're annoying with their offense' group:

Sober oz- usually pretty sim. He has his highs and lows. And I'm basing this off his highs. He can play offense. If he learns defense he'd be a challenger to the playoffs.

Bos- Bos was good before cfm started. Then he sucked. He'll put up some fights but he just knows when to attack. Nothing special.

Capa- After a hiatus in madden 16 capa has let savage play for him again. Except he's like the non cheesy little worse savage.

BTG- Run run run. And user MLB. That's btg gameplan. He's solid. If he gets his counter plays off he can pull some upsets and dick his opponents.

The 'I'm not good I just know how to yolo' group:

Billy- he's just never won that many games. He loses focus after a quarter. Averages one fake punt a game and had almost 200 catches with his tight end before. If he was good he'd be wayyyyy lower.

Drunk oz- this is one of the cheesiest players in all of madden. Every play gets a hot route yolo. The originator of the yolo. Who was only in comparison with the late jimmy rodge. Stay sober oz.

Jesse- Id break him up to drunk and sober but we all know Native Americans are never sober. Jesse shoots himself in the foot a lot but only stays in it cuz he's a yolo king.

The 'I'm good and occasionally toe the line. My stats are pretty lame but I do it rarely' group:

Danny- two words. Jeremy. Hill. When Danny was cheesing hill and teo he was a force. If Danny can get some talent he will definitely drop lower.

Reese- another user affected by dline not working. But when your backup rb has single digit carries and abuse running drags and cover 2 guy you stay in this group.

Zack- Mr. checkdown. He runs a ton of zone and plays really safe. He has abused some runners and wr in the past before.

Randy- One of the other few users who plays man defense. He does love to throw streaks but not at an alarming rate. He throws some 'money' plays when needed.

J5- welcome to the suspension club. Maybe it was a purge game but you're an idiot if you think we allow that. He too was born from the dline cheese. And that's how he'll forever be known.

The 'i only build cheesy teams and love to abuse players' group:

Rico- Robert McCoy was living in the commissioner office. Rico has gotten worse so he probably should be lower. But he gets this ranking solely on the San Francisco 99ers. Oh and his love to abuse runningbacks still.

Doom- If you aren't under 24 and don't run a 4.2 don't even contact the chargers front office. Speed kills. And doom loves running around in the middle with it. If he gets a cheesy wr watch out for him too.

Sony- Josh Gordon once was a prime target of the revo commish group office. Throwing 99% of the passes to him he was very close to getting suspended multiple times. Abusing post and seam routes too. *eye emoji*

Puff- Instead of reading this go look at the stats page under Ezekiel Elliot.

The 'when I want I abuse a bunch of the same concepts' group:

Todd- short passing, outs, and hitches. The Todd offensive state of mind. Has broken the 200 yard and 5 td rule multiple times. No wonder he hates the rule.

Declan- If throwing corner routes was a job Declan would be the bill gates of madden.

Matt millen- Matt's playbook has 5 plays. Screen, outside run, slants, drags, streaks. I'm surprised Matt has a kid since he never even looks for the inside hole.

Sheffey- Sheffeys fav cereal must be honey bunches of Oats. He's coming out tight every play. I think he's taken out every single man defensive play in his playbook and replaced them with the ones where his dlineman runs around the field.

The 'I'm pretty cheesy but the commishes semi like me and I make good excuses' group:

Mike- we really don't like him. But Henry has slowed down. If only mike didn't make an excuse for breaking every rule that would be great. Like ya know, calling man defense.

Savage- One of the old dline users who can also play the middle. If he has a dominant wr you know he's getting the ball all day. ie Jordan Hickman and Julio jones. Idc how far down you are. 900 yards in 5 games is ridic. He's just a good arguer. And when we boot Steph we need some color.

The 'I'm definitely getting booted. I ooze cheese. Even admit it. But I feel like the commishes will never boot me' group:

Steph- if the next user wasn't in the league Steph would be number one by far. It's crazy that a user who never complains can complain about you. To even try to cheese a commish is even more crazy. Then when you realize it's the biggest worst troll with no calves you understand how he did it. I don't think I've ever ran 4 sweeps in one game let alone in one drive in the redzone. Or stat pad then bitch when I call timeouts when losing. Oh the hypocrisy. Wait. I have someone who's even more of a hypocrite.

Wait til the end- what record do you think should never be broken in madden? If you said the receiving record for yards in a single game that is a blowout and you did it in less than three quarters of work you would be correct. 344 yards. On like 4 catches. How are you still here. Raise your hand if you've had an article written specifically about your own cheese. Or if you laugh when you know you're doing fucked up shit. If you've done everything that everyone has done on this list and then some. Run around with dline. When you feel slighted and then do the same thing to the same person next time you play. If you weigh less than 100 pounds and have more hair than doom and mike have had in their lifetime combined. Who had their hand up the whole time? I'll let y'all take a guess who it is.

Stay cheesy folks.

AFC North Reveal

AFC North

Hello again Revoians. This is your AFC North reveal. This is a division I'm very familiar with having spent my whole Revo madden career in it this year. Obviously it's sad to see someone else man the ship for the Steelers, even though I'm taking it better than others. I think they'll be in decent hands with Matt number 3610573 taking them over. Oz gets to run with his boy RG no knee which he should be happy about. Lil fake Kenny follows in big bald real Kenny's footsteps and gets to roll with Breshad 'I'm not that good. I'm cheesy af. Doom got lucky to have me' Perriman. Finally my bb Capa gets his fourth most wanted team the Bungles. All in all should be a competitive division. Oz gets to stick with Matt and Lil Kenny follows Capa. On to on to on to the next one....

Baltimore Ravens - It's weird to see Kenny hand his team over to baby Kenny but it happened. The only AFC team to ever go to a Super Bowl in ReRevos four seasons are big shoes to fill. I don't think that happens with fake Kenny. But that's more of a testament to how good real Kenny is than how awful fake Kenny is. God this is confusing.

Offense: Well I thought the Lions offense was depressing... Holy shit is this team lacking in offensive fire power, but then you remember, PERRIGOAT. We saw a screenshot of him having 95/96 speed so he's not an absolute freak of nature but that's pretty much your offense when you take the field in shitty purple and black every week little Kenny. Joe Flacco is a god awful QB in real life and I don't see that changing here. The retirement home of skill players starts with Steve Smith, Ben Watson, Mike Wallace and Justin Forsett. Honestly it might be better to take some lumps and start rookies Kenneth Dixon at RB and Chris Moore at WR who looks to be Perriman 2.0. Can't be too excited when your highest overall offensive skill weapons name is Crockett Gilmore but he's probably going to be a decent madden player. They drafted unsexy OT Ronnie Stanley 6th overall. The line graded out well last year but they're either old or unproven. Woof.

Defense: This side of the ball isn't as bad as the offense but it's definitely not great. CJ Mosley is the best player on this team by far. Followed by Timmy Jernigan in my opinion. The secondary might not be awful with Jimmy Smith on one side and Kyle Arrington on the other. Ladarius Webb is moving to FS which helps way more in madden than in real life and white boy Eric Weddle is a good in the box safety with good hands if he can keep up with some of the speed TE he's going to have to cover. Second round pick Kamalei Correa will be a nice linebacker to build up while opposite either Dumervil or Suggs, if fake Kenny sticks with a 3-4. Either way they will be good on the line at DE.

Overall: I have no idea where I would start on this team. If it's easy to develop players then I'd keep Perriman and Moore at WR and draft a QB early. If you're going to switch to a 4-3 this team needs linebackers unless Mosley can play all three positions. The secondary should be able to get by for a season or two. But with pass happy Aaron and Yolomeiester Oz in this division you may need to address that or against speed hog Matt. Good luck. This team is an abomination.

Cincinnati Bengals - My boy Capa was one of the unlucky ones to get lower than his second choice of a team. I still think he landed a pretty decent squad. Even tho I hate them in real life. This is going to be a conundrum. If Capa can get some of the magic going he had in RFD in madden 15 I think he could make some noise in the AFC north next year.

Offense: The best player on this side of the ball is AJ Green. Aaron loves his number one WR and I can see Green being a force for the length of madden 17 if speed regression is fixed. Outside of him though there aren't many skilled wideouts. Rookie Tyler Boyd might get hyped up in madden because they blow rookies so that could help. Tyler Eifert is a matchup nightmare at TE though and that can help with those teams that lock down AJ. Andy Dalton got some major ratings boosts in m16 after the reboot and I doubt they mess with him much so he should be a stud even tho the Red Rocket can't win a playoff game to save his life. The offensive line is a solid bunch. They ranked 9th on PFF list of best lines last year. If Capa decides to run the ball this year he has two contrasting backs. Bruiser Jeremy Hill and shifty Gio Bernard. Trade bait anyone? All together it's a really solid offense. If Boyd sucks a WR2 is all that is needed.

Defense: As solid as the offense is the defense is just as good. Their best group is the defensive line. Geno Atkins is a monster in the middle. Paired with Peko to eat up blocks they can hold down the fort for the run defense. Michael Johnson and Carlos Dunlap are excellent speed rushers who will excel with the new gap formula if this works. If teams pinch inside on Geno I expect Dunlap to go off. The linebackers are a solid bunch that won't wow anyone but they'll get the job done. Burfict is obviously the star here and luckily for Capa they don't give suspensions in madden. Rey Maualuga and Karlos Dansby are good run stuffing linebackers with more than likely sub 80 speed so I wouldn't expect much in the passing defense department. Interesting to see if Capa runs with speedy athletic freak Marquis Flowers in the middle as an excellent user. The secondary is full of underachievers and young players. Rookie first round pick William Jackson should be plugged in immediately for grandpa Pacman Jones. Maybe Dre Kirkpatrick will be serviceable on the other side. Darqueze Denard was usable in the last few maddens so maybe he can be a starter over Dre. The safeties are solid with George Ilohka and second year safety Derron Smith. I absolutely love the hard hitting Shawn Williams who has some decent speed. I would play him immediately. Other than a coverage linebacker or a corner if they flame out I don't see many holes that need addressed on the defensive side.

Overall: Capa has a leg up on half of the division because his team is already loaded with talent. For the first few seasons I see him and Matt dueling it out for the division titles. Matt has a blessed team and some stick skills it seems so it won't be easy. Don't screw it up bb.

 photo browns_zpsob8ru4jn.png

Cleveland Browns - I feel oz always gets screwed but takes his lumps and moves on with it. Not saying the Browns are going to screw Oz over that much but they were his sixth choice. I honestly love the Browns talent on offense and think this is going to be a really fun team to user next madden. Especially with the outside Yolo bomb makers.

Offense: I think it's obvious why Oz chose the Browns. The diehard skins fan wanted RG3. Nothing wrong with that. If mobility comes back for QBs behind the line of scrimmage there aren't many better in madden. Corey Coleman gets me going though. He's going to be a bonafide stud in madden. Oz loves his number one receivers and there aren't many better rookies to start with. If Josh Gordon is still in the game he will have a potent one two punch. If not the other rookie they took, Ricardo Louis, should fill in ok where speed kills. Hopefully Oz concentrates his XP on catching and not upping speed one point. If doom taught us anything it's that the Raheem 'the mustard man' Mostert can be usered effectively into winning two ROY awards. Oz loves speed and he has it. Crowell and Duke Johnson can be traded away where they should prosper elsewhere. The offensive line is great. And has some rookies who can be devved. I'd draft a TE and maybe a WR but other than that this offense is destined for madden greatness.

Defense: Another player who's likely to turn a 3-4 team into a 4-3. With that said Danny Shelton and youngster Xavier Cooper could man the middle while Mingo and either rookie Carl Nassib or Emmanuel Ogbah rush the outside. There are a lot of dlineman that are interchangeable for this squad. That's gonna deplete the linebacking core but Christian Kirksey is a solid user linebacker and vet Demarrio Davis should be solid. But that leaves a hole at OLB. Maybe 3-4 for a year until you get the pieces would be a solid start. In the secondary they have another in real life bum but madden player Justin Gilbert to pair at corner with Joe Haden who hopefully got his speed back from madden 16. Tramon Williams is probably way to slow to play corner but if he has any speed would be a decent free safety. It's a grab bag back there though. Rahim Moore should start but the other spot is open to Ibraheim Campbell or rookie Derrick Kindred. The defense definitely isn't as fun as the offense and requires a lot of work. I'd run a 3-4 for a year. If it works roll with it. If not draft some coverage linebackers and maybe some corners of Haden is too slow.

Overall: Not a terrible team to start with. Not the best. I don't know how Oz is going to fare in this division. My head says Matt is going to run away with it. And the other three will be close but always fighting for second place. Overall Revo is stacked. I feel both conferences are equally spread out. So it's going to be hard to make playoffs not winning your division.

 photo steelers_zpsnycrrgxy.png

Pittsburgh Steelers - I didn't think I'd miss being this team but I definitely will. It was fun being the home town team for once. I probably would quit madden if I wasn't them last year. Wait. No I wouldn't. If the Vikings are the best madden team this team is 1b. The offense is explosive right away and the defense is fast. Let's get to it

Offense: Where do you even start. Le'Veon Bell is a work horse. He may not break away in the open field cuz madden screws his speed over but he accelerates with the best. He's the best back in real life and should show that here. Antonio Brown is the best WR in football and he's a little short to excel in madden to his full potential but he's shifty and quick enough that it doesn't matter, 99s across the board aren't too farfetched. Ben leads it all and after Rodgers/Brady he will probably be the highest rated QB. He's a little old but that might not matter for QBs. Newcomer Ladarius Green is the fastest tight end in madden. Can't forget about Martavis Bryant who will probably still be in the game even though he's suspended for a year. Even if he wasn't Markus Wheaton and Martavis jr. Sammie Coates are respectable replacements. The left side of the line is a little old and needs replaced but the right side is solid for a few years. Pouncey, DeCastro and Gilbert are punishing in the run game. Other than oline you shouldn't have to draft offense besides maybe Ben's backup.

Defense: The front seven has the pieces to be either a unbelievable 3-4 or a really good 4-3. Heyward and Tuitt on the line regardless of where they are will terrorize the interior line. McCullers is a solid NT, but if you go 4-3 Dupree and Jarvis Jones can handle the outside. If Lee and Doom are right Shazier is going to be harder to user. Being the fastest linebacker ever has its advantages but maybe a different user would be better and hopefully he can take care of himself. Timmons inside or at olb in a 4-3 is going to excel either way. Vince Williams is really underrated and could play right away if needed. Now to the only bad part on this defense, the secondary. If you treat the team like the real life Steelers do and neglect the secondary for years you're going to have a bad time. First round pick Artie Burns should have the speed and will be an easy project to turn into a stud. The other cornerback spot though needs filled immediately. I don't see Ross Cockrell or Willie Gay doing what's needed to be done. If you want to roll with Mike Mitchell and the hard hitting midget Shamarknado Thomas then maybe move second round rookie Sean Davis to corner. I would hate to waste his hit power at corner though. Other than that this team is set on defense.

Overall: Matt has ran the ball so far really well with Latavius. So getting an upgrade with Bell and a better offensive line he should be deadly. Hoarding speed and talent with the skill positions will be troublesome for the rest of the north. Whichever way he goes in the front seven won't matter if he doesn't get a corner or two fast. Safety may be needed too. Other than that he has a leg up on every single team in the north because of how good this team started. After a few seasons though I see some regression mixed with that first place team schedule.

The AFC north is going to be either a one man show and everyone else fighting for second or they will all take their shots being at the top. It can go either way. Some players have their work cut out for them while others are sitting pretty. Deep down I want Oz, Capa and lil Kenny to win some titles but I don't see it. That's a huge head start Matt received.

NFC North Reveal

NFC North

Welcome gentle folks of Revo. This is your NFC North reveal. Here we will talk about the four guys who I think will be together for the length of madden 17. Reece with the Bears, Danny with the Lions, Mike with the Packers, and Lee taking his talents on the sex boat called the Vikings. This is a brutal division. As long as Mike doesn't bow out, cuz he can't handle the talent level in the north, this division should be exciting. Sucks for the one guy who will miss every year at least.

Chicago Bears - For the second year in a row Reece will be manning the Bears. It's his favorite team so it's understandable. He did great things with them in madden 16 so I expect him to do the same. Although his competition is more improved I still see him researching his way to a few division championships. Alright let's dive in deeper:

Offense: Reece has a pretty balanced offense approach. He's greatly improved in throwing the ball where I see Kevin White going for 1200 yards a year. Hopefully Alshon Jeffrey gets some better physical attributes because he can be a force opposite White. Jeremy Langford should still have some speed which is all that matters. It's up to Reece if he makes a trade for a young QB or rolls with gunslinger Jay for a season and then goes into the draft for one. He played with Fales for a few seasons here but elected to draft another. Without knowing the attributes the offensive line is a work in progress. There are some old studs and vets like Kyle long but this would be an area concern after getting some talent on defense. All in all I think Reece will fare pretty well on offense. After he gets a TE this will be an elite offense.

Defense: The real life team went hard on defense this draft with 5 defensive picks. I see Reece putting first round pick Leonard Floyd at de for his 4-3 and maybe usering him to blow his stats up rookie year. The real life team is a 3-4 so Snorks is going to have to transition a few players. Hicks and Goldman on the inside is a nice starting point. We know how Snorkel loves his dline so whoever has the highest speed/acceleration and finesse move will play. Linebacker is pretty weak. Christian jones was a decent user in 16. But with a bunch of 3-4 LB that's gotta be an area of concern. The secondary ain't to shabby. Kyle Fuller and Adrian Amos are some pretty decent corners. If you're able to develop players they could be a mainstay for the length of M17. (Assuming Reece moves Amos back to corner and doesn't roll with rookie corner Deiondre Hall). The Bears drafted two safeties but that position is devoid of talent, again assuming Reece moves speedster Amos back to corner.

Overall: This team has some pieces but is also devoid of talent. Depending where Reece drafts in the first year will depend on the way this team is built. If it's late in the draft I see some players being added in the trench early and maybe a safety later. If he has a higher pick maybe a TE or cornerback. For the skill they have they are that bad at other positions. I think Reece will still have the (dline) stick skills to cause havoc. I don't see him missing playoffs more than once and also winning a few divisions. That's no slight on his skill but more a slap on the butt to the rest of his division mates.

Detroit Lions - Another player who got his favorite in real life team. Danny gets to man the Lions without Calvin Johnson. Who unexpectedly retired after this past season. Danny is a good user who like to pound the rock and play off the stacked boxes to throw to his number one WR. Danny controlled the AFC West for much of madden 17 and I see him doing big things up north this year too.

Offense: Whos going to catch the ball? Midget Tate? New guy Marvin Jones? Undoubtedly Danny will go into the draft looking for one of the speed freak WR unlike the real life team who decided not to draft one. Good thing is Danny doesn't rely on the pass. He traded for Jeremy Hill in madden 17 and maybe he gets another big bruiser unless he likes Abdullah or Riddick. The FT crew was always at the top of the rushing leader boards and I expect the same. According to PFF the Lions had the 24th best offensive line. And the real life lions knew it drafting three fatties to help bolster the line. Ebron will probably still be a usable weapon because of his speed and Matt stafford still has a rocket for an arm. All in all this doesn't look like a fun offense for the first year. If the defense wasn't trash I'd say there will be a lot of picks spent on offense, starting with WR.

Defense: There are a few madden stars on this defense. Starting with Ziggy Ansah and Darius Slay. Speed kills in madden and both have it. The linebacking core ain't half bad either with Whitehead, Tulloch, and Levy. Rookie DT, A'Shawn Robinson, will probably be inserted early in favor of Vet Haloti Ngata.   They can hit hard from the safety spot with rookie safety Miles Killebrew and Glover Quinn. So if hit sticks work a bit better that can separate the WR from the ball or get a few more forced fumbles. The secondary is full of no name back ups who lacked speed in madden 16. If that keeps up they are going to need an overhaul with this pass happy division. Slay can't cover White/Jeffrey, Cobb/Nelson, Treadwell/Diggs all by himself.

Overall: Oof. This is a bad year to want the Lions. Maybe if Calvin was here this could be fun. But this offense is very bland and is going to need some help. I see a lot of runs for whoever Danny chooses at RB and Ebron getting a lot of balls his way. Giggidy. Danny played really well with Teo the GOAT so he doesn't need an exceptionally fast LB which will help on defense. Other than the LB, Ansah, and Slay this defense is gonna be Swiss in this tough division. Hopefully Danny can bless this team with his stick skills. After season one I see him putting in wrk.

Green Bay Packers - Mike wanted a legendary team. He just didn't get the one he wanted. But the Packers are very similar to the Steelers. I know he's going to be upset he didn't get his hometown team but it was just the luck of the draw. I hope Mike is up to the challenge because his division is the farthest thing from the cakewalk. I hope he doesn't cower away from the opportunity to get better by playing some of the best madden players in Revo.

Offense: Like I said above this team is loaded. It's very similar to the steelers on offense. Starting with their stud of a QB Aaron Rodgers. With the (hopefully) improved passing mechanics great QBs will be a premium (hopefully). And which better one than Rodgers. On the outside Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are great madden WRs. With the (hopefully) new regression working Nelson should be able to be used more than one season. Unless you're stupid and like Steph sign him after he's 27 speed. Intriguing madden prospect Jeff Janis would be a fun development. At TE you have a good but slow pass catcher in Richard Rodgers and you have a speedster who's older in Jared Cook. Eddie Lacy may have eaten his weight in cheeseburgers, which is a metric fuck ton, but all that weight just makes it harder for him to be tackled. To me behind Rodgers the best part of this offense is its O-line. One of the best in madden. Interior O-lineman, Sitton, Linsley, and Lang are probably the best in the league in real life not just madden. Bulaga and Bakhtiari are serviceable on the outside. With having a good offensive line it gives you some maneuverability in the draft to get some sexy picks where a speed freak WR or TE would solidify this offense for the length of madden 17. Some interesting things that I want to see how they unfold is if Mike dangles speedy back up QB Brett Hundley and/or when speedy rookie WR Trevor Davis gets some play.

Defense: The defense lost Casey Hayward to the Chargers but he was a little on the slow side which probably wouldn't help in this division. His replacement though is second year Revo16 stud, Damarious Randall. Opposite him is vet Sam Shields who should still be pretty fast and able to play for a couple of seasons. Morgan Burnett is a solid madden safety but is getting a little long in the tooth. Hard hitting safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix would be a fun user patrolling the deep middle. That's the high point on this defense. Depending on which way Mike goes, and I'm assuming it's 4-3, this team is devoid front 7 talent after stars Clay Mathews and Mike Daniels. Nick Perry would be a good DE same with wily vet Julius Peppers, for at least a season. The team drafted DT Kenny Clark who is a 3-4 NT more like Geno Atkins and Haloti Ngata where he wouldn't be a bad 4-3 DT. It would be a shame to user Clay as a MLB but he may be a little small for DE, and a Perry, Daniels, Clark, Peppers D-Line doesn't sound awful for a season. I know Mike loves moving DE to MLB and using them so we'll see how he transitions and uses The Claymaker. Regardless what Mike does he needs two linebackers who can cover. Maybe one of the two rookies, Kyler Fackrell or Blake Martinez, will be bless and able to fill one of those linebacking needs.

Overall: I didn't select this team but it's always been one of my favorite to use in recent maddens. Aaron Rodgers and an offensive line are all you need and build with madden freaks around them. The defense needs a bit of work but it's a solid team to start with. One of the better ones and rivals the starting lineup of the next team on the list. Mike is going to continue going against Lee but it will be fun to see him going against run heavy Danny and air it out Reece. In a season where Mike can take one game from Lee I see him being able to win the division. Someone has to get the fourth place schedule and get some easy match ups. This division will be like the old NFC south where the bottom guys fly to the top the following season thanks to generous schedules. Keep your head up Mike. Steelers will be yours one day but this is a great consolation.

Minnesota Vikings - Finally. One of my bitter rivals, even though I have never bested him. Lee grabbed up my first ever CFM team. The shell of the team is pretty much the same but way more developed. This is one of the most stacked teams and is perfect for Lee. After taking the Patriots in the past two CFMs that I was in with Todd he's going to get an NFC scum change up. Let's dink and dunk on this offense.

Offense: Where do I begin!? Let's start at the bottom. The offensive line is so-so. A bunch of vets who will more than likely be hard to develop but will be decent to start with. Khalil, Fusco, Sullivan, Boone, and Loadholt can hold their own, but they won't stellar. Especially against D-Line (cheeser) user Reece in this division. That's probably going to be Lee's biggest challenge until he upgrades the line. Todd loves speed and doesn't care for it at the same time, so the skill positions are all a mix of that and it will be interesting to see how he uses them. Tight end is going to be tricky to but if anyone knows how to use two of them it's Lee. Kyle Rudolph is the solid get the hard catches for a first tight end and Mycole Pruitt is the typical cheesy no one can match up with me tight end. Tons of versatility here for Todd to play with. At WR Stefon Diggs, rookie Laquan Treadwell, Cordarelle Patterson, and Charles Johnson are a hell of a core. They all have the mixture of size and speed. Honestly if it's easy to develop I still see CP being the stud of this core with his size, speed, and athletic ability. Diggs will be solid and Treadwell will be a tall target. Again do you go speed or power. Young or old? Adrian Peterson will be great but how long. Jerrick McKinnon will undoubtedly be an athletic freak which is all you need in madden to start with. Todd throws to everyone and I see Jerrick being the go to guy with his speed and catching skill. Now it's up to Teddy to get it all done. If anyone can get the most out of their QB it's Lee. 6,000 yards and 50 TDs is going to be the norm. Other than line this offense has no holes.

Defense: As studded as the offense is the defense is just as good. Great madden players everywhere. The defensive line is really really good. Even with older vet Brian Robinson this line will wreak havoc. Shariff Floyd and Linval Joseph will hold down the middle. While Everson Griffin will rush from the outside. Danielle Hunter is a diamond in the rough though. He had great speed and size in madden 16 so I don't see that changing. I would plug him in and play him immediately opposite of Griffin. Eric Kendricks will try to fill in his older brothers madden 15 shoes and be the best usered MLB ever. Anthony Barr is a bonafide stud who will be able to blitz or rush if needed. Maybe move Griffin inside and Barr to DE on obvious passing downs to get some more pressure. Chad Greenway is a good one year spot for running downs. He likely won't be on the field much anyway but he's solid in run support. The secondary is the tricky part. Obviously this is madden and speed kills. So I see Trae Waynes, Xavier Rhodes, and rookie Mackensie Alexander locking down the rest of the NFC north for the duration of madden 17. Rookies are usually blessed and I see Alexander having great attributes. Harrison Smith should move back to strong safety and be allowed to help in run support and help in the passing game against tight ends. Lee loves to user the free safety so if starter, as of now, Andrew Sendejo has decent speed his attributes won't matter as Todd will make use of whatever starter he has there.

Overall: How much more can I blow this roster. This was my third choice. I wanted to bring them back to prominence, but I feel they will be in better hands with Lee. Other than OLB and safety this team has no holes. Even those positions will be good. Off the top of my head there are no more complete teams besides maybe the Steelers. I'd probably start to get the offensive line solidified unless an outstanding OLB is around late in the draft. Safeties are easy to find and Greenway doesn't need to play much. Stopping Snorkel by getting a better line needs to be priority number one. Danny has beaten Todd a few times if I remember correctly so this isn't a run away division for Lee. After Reece studies up and gets excel flowing the division title will be won by a war of attrition

AFC Wildcard

Wild card standings

Patriots 8-3
Remaining games:
Chargers/rams/jets/bengals/niners

The patriots are ap for their first next two games. I don't see either user losing to the cpu. Maybe res does but who knows. Todd is gonna be furious and probably cheeses his wr against halpin who has yet to beat the great Asian. Declan is supposedly tanking but I think that he's a big phoney. As long as he has a chance at playoffs he's going to keep trying. If Declan beats his two opponents before this game he will try and could beat Todd. That brings us to a finale against the San Francisco 66ers. I don't know much about him. He seems decent but I think Todd edges him out. So in todds last 5 games I'd say he goes 3-2 with a possibility of 2-3. I think 11 wins gets in but ten would be bubble. It helps that gordo is two games behind already and he can still win his division. Who knows. Maybe he'll crop out the rest of his division.

Steelers 7-5
Remaining games:
Jets/Ravens/Browns/redskins

I need to win all of these games. Especially since one of them is against another possible wild card team. Halpin and sticks have yet to beat me in either madden 15 or 16. Which is great and all but neither did Joe and we all saw how that went down. Like literally average margin of victory in 16 games was like 30. Ugh. We moved on and beat the division foe bengals. I think I beat halpin and sticks but I split with doom and the Browns. Which brings us to 10-6. Steelers need help but we can't miss the playoffs in cams first year. Just need to slow down the interceptions.

Dolphins 6-5
Remaining games:
Browns/raiders/Rams/niners/Ravens

Gordo is weird. He beats me after not playing man defense more than one play and then gets blown out of the water by the cpu. Whhhhaaaaat? I don't see him beating the Browns. He can put up a fight against knashville and will more than likely win. If res can get gurley going it's going to be another long game for gordo as he obviously can't control the run. Then he plays the 66ers and Cheesens. The future is bleak in Miami. I don't see him going better than 2-3 with 1-4 more likely. Also he cut the only player that is more than likely going to win two Roty awards. Sucks to suck.

Browns 6-5
Remaining games:
Dolphins/Ravens/bills/steelers/bengals

As stated before I think the Browns beat the Dolphins. He's usually a good user when he's not getting unjustly put on auto. I don't think he's came close against the Ravens and I don't see that trend changing. The bills are schizophrenic but I see more gollum than smeagle and the Browns get a win. I think this is the game the steelers win (not the Ravens) and the Browns beat the bengals. Which is good for a 3-2 record. Which is good for 9-7. It's unfortunate he got screwed against Nagasaki. But I don't think 9-7 makes it, but let's see.

Broncos 6-5
Remaining games:
Chiefs/chargers/Titans/raiders/chargers/

Is this the year that oz finally makes the playoffs. I honestly, not being rude, don't think he's made it since I've been in a league with him. But that's not a rib at oz. when he first started playing in 15 he was god awful. But he put up some fights. For him to be fighting for a playoff spot in the tougher conference is a good turn around in a year. Especially for an old man. As for the games I don't think he beats the chargers but runs through the other 3 opponents. He has to kick himself for losing to bills and raiders. You can't make playoffs losing to bad teams if you're going to lose to all the good ones too. 9-7 probably doesn't cut it.

Bengals 6-6
Remaining games:
Bills/redskins/patriots/Browns

To tank or not to tank. I don't think Declan is tanking. I just feel that some of the better users go in a lull. Especially when you play in multiple leagues. If Declan beats the bills and redskins and sees he's still fighting I don't think he tanks. If he loses to the patriots after that then he may throw the Browns game which could throw a wrench into one of the other contenders plans. All in all he either goes 10-6 or 6-10. I don't see an in between besides the season finale.

Bills 5-6
Remaining games:
Jets/bengals/Browns/Rams/jets

I don't know what to make of this kush cowboy. He has a pretty tough schedule but he has beaten and stuck with some teams. Then went out and gave up 66. He could go 5-0 or 0-5 and it wouldn't shock me. Safe bet is he goes 2-3 and misses playoffs. Starting out 5-3 then losing 3 straight really hurts. Especially when two of those games were teams above him on this list. But safe bet he goes 7-9 and misses playoffs.

From this we gather that the patriots will win the east. If the steelers can beat one of the division opponents and take care of business they'll be in one spot for the wild card. The other spot will either be a streaky bengals team. A three way tie with 9-7 three B teams bengals, Browns, Broncos. Or if Browns beat steelers they could be in control of their destiny. All in all I think it comes down to four teams for two spots. If Declan's gonna tank tank tank, and oz can't rise up to the occasion and take his first playoff spot it's more than likely the Browns and steelers. Oz you gotta beat the chargers at least once or it shows you aren't ready for the spot light. Twas fun. Hope you read. More articles to come. Maybe a playoff preview. Maybe a podcast. Who knows. Seacrest out. ¯\_(?)_/¯

Playoff fantasy football

Hey guys I do a playoff fantasy football type league. It's similar to march madness brackets. You pick a team and whoever has the most points after the 4 weeks wins the money. It's only 10$ a team and you can have as many as you want. I understand if you don't wanna give ten dollars to some guy on the internet but I am doing it for the guys I work with and friends. Could be a good pot. So if you're interested read the rules and shoot me a pm.

Playoff fantasy football

Hey guys the fantasy season doesn't have to be over. I do a fantasy football league for the playoffs. No draft or anything you just pick players. If you are interested here are the rules.

-You get a team of
QB,WR,WR,RB,RB,TE,K,DEF,
BENCH,BENCH.

-Your first week team must have every player starting the first week of the playoffs. So for this year you can't start Cam Newton. However he can be on your bench.

-You get 4 roster moves throughout the playoffs. So if you choose Eddie Lacy as your RB and he gets eliminated and you pick up David Johnson to replace him that would be 1 of your 4 moves. You can move players from bench to starting and vice versa how ever many times you want.

-You can have multiple teams. Each team costs 10$.

-Payout will be 80% for first and 20% for second until we get 20 entries. After twenty it will be 70% for first 20% for second and 10% for third.

-Send this email to whoever you want. But you need to collect the money or have them send it to me.

-I will be doing this all through emails or excel if I can get people to edit it right. No site does it perfectly and I don't want to have to pay for one. I do it through excel and add up all the points. I know I'm perfect but I could make a mistake so just let me know. I'll fix it.

-I want to collect the money no later than before the divisional round. If I don't have your money your entry will just be thrown out.

-Scoring will be as follows
QB:
Every 25 yds= 1 pt.
touchdown= 6 pts.
Fumble lost = -1 pt.
interception= -2 pts.

WR/RB/TE:
Every 10 yds= 1 Pt.
Catch= 1 pt.
Touchdowns= 6 pts.
Fumble lost= -1 pt.

K:
18-29 yd FG= 2 pts
30-39 yd FG= 3 pts.
40-49 yd FG= 4 pts.
50+ yd FG= 5 pts.
Extra points= 1 pt.

DEF:
0 pts allowed= 10 pts.
2-10 pts allowed =7 pts.
11-20 pts allowed= 3 pts.
21-30 pts allowed= 0 pts
31-40 pts allowed= -3 pts.
41+ pts allowed= -6 pts.
Sacks= 1 pt.
Interceptions= 2 pts.
Fumble recovered= 1 pt.
Blocks= 2 pts.
Safeties= 2 pts.
Any return TD(incl. punt/kick ret.)= 6 pts.

Again if I missed anything, you have questions, or you are just sending in your entry PM me. Send me anything there. Let's get this huge. It's tons of fun and no one is usually out after the first week. We all love fantasy lets keep it going.

The Way Too Early XM16 Predictions

This is my way too early predictions article. It was actually done about two weeks ago before everyone went jumble brain on me. I figured Rico and peezy are similar, stokes isn't much better than Jed and Gordo so whoever is the Broncos and Lions yall stayed the same. You can take this with a grain of salt I really don't care. I'm not big on that thing that people say you might suck at madden from year to year cuz it's a different game. The cream always rises. I'm not the best madden player but I've always adjusted and have never been bad. So thinking that Walk and Gamesta are all of a sudden gonna be the next billy and Jed and vice versa I've got some bad news for ya. Good luck to everyone, seems like today is patch day so I'm excited to start playing the game I bought weeks ago. LETS DO DIS!

The State of XM

The State of XM:

I may or may not be in the minority here, but my gut feeling says I'm about to write what everyone is thinking. There's a fracture in XM. Some will believe the fracture is one thing, others will have their opinions on what else is broke. One side fighting the other, or multiple sides fighting each other. What doesn't make sense to me is that we are all fighting for the same thing. We are all here for one reason or another, but the main reason we are all here is we love playing madden (some more than others, billy cough cough). We also want to see this CFM succeed. All of us have a different opinion on how it should succeed and that's fine. No one person is at fault in this fracturing of the league. I know I'm not above blame. I do a lot of things that aren't conducive to a great free flowing and fun league, with fun being the emphasis. So I'm going to highlight some of the things here that I feel are dividing the league. Remember, by no means necessary am I calling out one person and not another...

1. Please please please stop booting people from chat. It's just an unnecessary annoyance. Who ever booted someone, and felt better or cool about doing it. Just quit being annoying to people.

2. Cheese may have gone too far. It's crushed chat. Maybe it should go the same route as sliders and advance (you can't boot me from my own article). It's funny to rib some people about it, but it has become such a negative that it is tainting people's reputation whether it's justified or not. PM your opponent and maybe start a group chat with you guys and one commissioner. Talk it out. Help your league mate out.

3. We need to not have a divide between the admins and the rest of the league. There are a lot of things I wish were handled differently on both fronts. At the forefront on the admin side: trades, owners wants not addressed, suspensions/punishments. For the owners: being overly harsh of rulings on trades or punishments, ganging up, disrespect.

I get it, I was commish a time or two. Everyone makes mistakes and you have to listen to 31 opinions and take 31 different trade offers and make sure 31 other people are in line with the league rules. It's not easy. But it doesn't have to be as burdensome as the admins have made it. As of right now I have no idea if any of our XM16 wishes from the wish list will be granted. I really hope so. The thing about the CFM is it's not supposed to conform to one view point. I think the best CFM takes all ideas and opinions into account and does the best for the collective body. It's all of our CFM and we all want to have fun and play it. Little things start to cause big rifts when the little argument or problem could've been solved easily.

Also us as users need to realize the league isn't just about us. Because someone screwed us over in a game we shouldn't have to parade it around group chat, or go to an admin and say 'why is this person here they're an asshole'. We need to help alleviate the burden not add to it with these petty arguments. Group chat should be fun and full of discussion about anything and everything. Sports, mikes terrible moth joke, video games, life, mikes terrible what if scenarios, trash talk. We don't need to hear how someone screwed you, or who's breaking the rules. Keep it private.

4. Transparency: this is a big one for many things so I lumped them all together. No one should ever have to wonder 'how come this guy did the same thing but got a different result'. Transparency is key for trades, punishments, accidents, whatever. We need something set (which sucks we need more rules) to show what an infraction on the rules merits suspension wise. We need something set to show why certain trades are valued at what they are valued at. Punishments are easy. Trades not so much, but if we are to show why we think a trade is accepted then we should be told why it was declined. Also all trades should be held to the same standard. I think I've said this a million times, there is nothing wrong with a trade chart. It eliminates animosity over trades. We should be figuring out what we can do to make less problems. Not create more.
As users we shouldn't just sit back and take what we think are wrongdoings but we shouldn't start making it personal either.

5. Take into account we ALL have put in a ton of time into madden to be dicked around or screwed with.

I don't want this to sound like a bashing of the admins or XM. We all need to do better. I just want my league healthy again. For me the social side makes up about 90% of my pleasure with this CFM. The trash talking, the friends, the competition, the camaraderie, and the deep relationships. The other day I had a real life problem and was able to pm a guy and talk it out. Where else can you find 31+ other guys, from every walk of life, and call them friends. I don't want to lose this. It's helped fill a lot of voids from late night gaming to real life advice. I like yall, even Sam lol. We all have our faults and we gotta remember that. We gotta pick each other up instead of putting each other down. Let's make this something to last for a long time and I'm not talking about just madden.

The Maester Mailbag

Hey there guys. XM is off and running in its SIXTH season. Well done Ace. Way better than that fantasy drafted garbage. It's also a great testament to the players of this league. Give yourself a pat on the back as well, or if you're Rico just keep patting.

Well it's time to unleash another article that is totally original and definitely not stolen from one of the best writers that I read(or only). I'm gonna take questions from you guys and start a mailbag. Ask about anything. Maester Steel will empty his sportsguy mailbag. As always these are actual emails from my actual readers(or for this week the voices in my head).

Q: What's with all the cheese talk?
-Mickey Mouse., Mikes basement.

MS: Ok this season it seems more than most the C word has been thrown around almost daily. Some are warranted. Some are frustrated users who bitch after a loss(who would do that). First let's define cheese. In my opinion there are two types: numero uno-The blatant nano blitz, re-blitz, usering the dline(had to), throwing or running to one player to the point of abuse, money plays, etc. to me these problems are a faulty user and they should never cfm. Ever. Usually they can't be brought back to sim. Numero dos-running the same play a few times, not switching up coverages or formations, running or throwing too much, close to the level but not at Adrian Peterson abuse of certain routes. These players can work these kinks out. We all for the most part have played madden for awhile. We have tendencies that are ingrained into us. It's hard to break calling a slant on third and short.

To me the former is definitely Cheese worthy. The latter not so much. More of a bending of rules or a little unsim. Do some teams run hurry up all game, yes. Shotgun 60% of the time, sure. It's an anomaly. Does this mean we should do it? For the most part no. We want people to mix it up and change plays and not abuse running or crossing routes. Especially if we are doing the same to them. It's sportsmanship. If the player doesn't change then yes maybe they need booted. But let's not witch hunt or throw the C word around every time someone runs one extra shotgun run you didn't like. We all hate losing but we are all men. Let's be fair to each other.

Q: Some of these stats are outrageous Steel, do you think they will regress to the mean? Do you think users are abusing players for XP?
- Robrone McMinor, SanSeattle.

MS: Honestly I don't think anyone is being XP whored. I just think we want to use our best players and either lose track or it's just so easy that we don't realize what we are doing. I don't think anyone scores an extra touchdown for XP. Or goes deep one too many times for the minuscule XP. I don't know if they will regress. Some players were on pace for some ridiculous stats in the past(Lamar Miller, Cecil Shorts, AJ Green) but they fell flat. I mean we have had a 2000 yard rusher(multiple) every year. But it's hard to keep the pace. Unless you are abusing them.

Q: What are some great summer activities I can do this year? I've been gone for a LOOOOOONG time and I need some stuff to do.
-Gendry., Westeros.

MS: Great question. When you get older you really don't have summers. You just have time when you work that is either hot or cold. Obviously you can do a little more when it's nice out. Personally I love being outside in the heat that makes you feel like you're wearing an electric blanket snuggie on full blast. Running and basketball are some great activities. I don't know about you but the courts around me have become baron. I suggest finding an open one and getting your tan on while workin on the dad bod. Outside seating at restaurants and bars is also ideal. Depending on where you're from this doesn't last very long. Take it in every day. A nice summer beer like Sam Summer, Corona, or my favorite a Hoegaarden really refreshes you while braving the summer heat. Zoos, drive-ins, and even just fishing on a river bank are great date ideas if you want to show your cuddly, passionate, or rugged side.

Q: I heard the Purge is going to be a staple of XM going forward. How do you like it? Can you explain it?
-Ethan., Hawkesville.

MS: I am all in favor of the purge, IF..which is a pretty big if.. If it is only on scoring caps being lifted. No need to start a cheese fest or being douches to each other and bring head to head into the cfm. Some people you just wanna run the score up on. It's healthy.

Q: Who are the favorites to represent each conference?
-Cousin MattyIce., Cincinnati.

MS: I'll do you one better! I'll give you my prediction on who will win each division as well....
AFC North: I think doom gets his swagger back and wins it. Mike and halpin slug it out for second place with halpin making the come back.
AFC South: no one in this division is on Snorkels level. Cmon. 2 winless teams. Yuck
AFC West: hard read on this one. I have to go with Savi. He's done it before. Maybe ace finally brings his madden 25 game to 15 before it's too late.
AFC east: do the pats run away with this one? As long as the balls are inflated I think barons takes this division deep. He's posted up with ward on top.
NFC north: who do you think I'm gonna pick?
NFC south: Sam squeaks this one out. Randy comes in second(sorry oz) after remembering how to play.
NFC west: one of the guys with the cheesy(oops I mean unsim) running back. Ugh.
NFC east: I'm crossing off sticks. I'm sacking the Eagles. I'm definitely not dragging the Giants to the top(Gooden might tho). I'm taking the one who does all those things right, J5.
Colts over Rico in the run and slant game.

Q: Any movies/tv shows you are excited for that come out this summer? I'm thinking of taking the summer off to get ready for the reaming I'll be getting this fall.
-Goger Roodell., Washington DC

MS: Well right now I'm consumed by Thrones obviously but True Detective with Tim Riggins looks awesome. I think the leftovers comes back on after that in the late summer which is another excellent HBO show. Movie wise I start and end with the most anticipated movie of the summer(at least for me) Star Lord and his group of Dino buddies taking out Godzilla and Dragonites love baby. Grew up with Jurassic park and was a dinosaur nut. Nothing gets my juices flowing more than fake dinosaurs eating people. Next I need me some Johnny Drama and Ari Gold. Entourage looks dope. Mark Wahlberg playing a dopey guy with a talking teddy bear again? Sign me up. Khaleesi is done with dragons and taking on robots and the govenator this summer. I'll be tuning into that as well. It's a down summer for super hero movies. Fantastic four and ant man really don't tickle my fancy. I'll probably see them but, meh.

Q: How do you feel about the new users? Anyone you're excited about or who could make an impact right away?
-Annakin., Tattooine.

MS: Well let's go over who's new. New to me is I don't remember you playing most of last season. Jets, Broncos, Titans, Gunners, Packers. I've played everyone or have been in a league with the besides the Gunners. So I'll hold off on him. Jets, Broncos, and Packers definitely have the stick skill to compete. Do I think any make noise in playoffs? Probably not. But they can fight for a few spots and maybe win a game with the right opponent. Sorry MixMash I like ya but I haven't seen much good from you. He seems to know how to play ala the redsticks, but his stick skill isn't there yet. If he does catch on be could be formidable. I just think xm16 gets here before that does unfortunately.

Q: So I took this girl to the movies, well actually we met there. Quick backstory she was horrible in high school but she hit me up my freshman year in college. I creep her Facebook and she looks really good now. I think 'maybe she blossomed a little late'. Screw it I message her back, we exchange numbers and then we decide to plan a date. So present time, we meet up at the movies(I don't have a car I had to take public transit there and I think her friends dropped her off) I got there first im waiting where I said I would be. Then all of a sudden this creature comes up to me with these big bulky braces, her face has so much acne it looks like one of those weird spiky gum balls. She's like 'Nick wow you look so good'. I fight back the urge to just run away Forrest Gump style and not look back. I say you too. I tell her I forgot my wallet at home and we should go back and get it, I only had my bus pass. She says ok. I can't do it. I can't go through with the date. I'm searching for what to say to get her to go home. We get to the stop and get off and go into my house. I don't want my mom or brothers to see her so I sneak her in the basement. Still searching for an excuse. We're sitting on the couch and I see it in her eyes. Oh shit! She thinks I brought her home so we can hook up. What the hell did I just do. Her eyes lit up brighter than Zeek when he sees award single covered and pressed. She leans in. I'm sweating. I literally can't do this. So my arm just pushes her head down in a joking way towards my lap. We both giggle like it was a big joke and she says 'ok!'. Unzips my pants and she's blows me. Long story short I let her and steal my moms car to take her home.

MS: Yup....these are my readers.
