Vikings KO the Titans!!!

Vikings 34- Titans 31

The Minnesota Vikings goes into Tennessee and rips the Titans hearts out with a 34-31 road victory. It could not have come at a better time, especially after the incredible win over the Falcons last week. Vikings now really solidify themselves as legitimate playoff contenders.

As for Tennessee they played lights out, literally had Minnesota on there heels for most of the game. However, something clicked for us and we were somehow able to get back into it. After we tied the game Marriota had his Titans driving only to throw a back breaking interception to Xavier Rhodes the Vikings shut down corner.

Vikings kicked field goal and finished strong on D. Great game Tennessee!!!!

DL SPECIAL: DEMARCO MURRAY BACK?

2015! What a stellar year for Eagles RB Demarco Murray.  Fresh off a successful year in Dallas, Philly's newly acquired back came in and had the most productive season of any RB in NFL history.  Murray shattered records for Season TDs (29), Season Yards (2,671), and Single Game Rushing (379).  Murray had 5 games over 200yrds and only 3 below 100yrds as he led his team to the playoffs.
2016...... Up until last weeks contest against Cleveland, the Eagles run game has been mediocre at best.  Murray gave us a glimpse of his former self last week rushing for 141yrds and a TD but before that not much at all.  Before the Browns game, Murray only average 49.6yrds per game.  Is Murray back on track to being the most dominate backfield force in the league?  Well the answer may depend heavily in OC Justin Howlands play calling.  Last season Murray touched the ball a league high average of 24 times per game.  This season has seen Murray's workload decrease dramatically to a pedestrian 16.  Murray was handed the ball a season high 20 times against the Browns and averaged 7yrds per carry which is exactly the same YPC average for his 2015 record breaking season.  Maybe the formula is that simple.  The more you give Murray the ball, the more productive he'll be.  Maybe none of this matters.  After all, the Eagles are off to a 3-1 start heading into this week's game against Cardinals team that ranks amongst the bottom in total defense including a RUN DEFENSE that ranks dead last.  Nevertheless, the Cardinals have had hard fought games against really good teams and I'm sure the Eagles expect another hard fought game this week.

527yrd DAY FOR LUCK!!!!

KC 10 - 56 IND

The Colts rebounded from last week's lost in convincing fashion.  The man of the hour? Andrew Luck!  The Chiefs secondary had no answer  the Colts' QB who tossed the ball around for 527yrds on the day completing all but 4 of his 28 passing attempts.  Even more impressive is that Luck had TD passes to 6 different receivers and 0 interceptions.  The performance was good enough to garner a perfect 158.3 QBR.  Rookie WR Rashon Austin continues to grow as he was the leading WR with 224yrds and TY Hilton a close 2nd at 196yrds.  The Colts were also able to round up nearly 150yrds on the ground with the combination of  Dri Archer and along with rookies Darion Redmond (HB) and David Jose (FB). Corey White, a new signed CB that the Colts converted into a FS, also hauled in 3 of the 4 INTs thrown by Alex Smith.  Both teams will be on the road next week.  The Colts will face off against he Jags in Jacksonville.  KC will head towards Charlotte NC to take on the Carolina Panthers.

CHARGERS IMPROVE TO 2-1

NO 21 - 28 SD
The Chargers capitalize on a solid performance as they edge out the Saints 28-21 in a tightly contested battle.  RB Melvin Gordon was the catalyst as he was able to churn out a tough 139yrds on 24 carries.  Phillip Rivers was able to add another 170yrds through the air to keep the Saints defense guessing.  NO rookie QB Conor Leonard was able to put together an efficient day himself in the losing effort.  Leonard tossed the ball around for 326yrds and 1 TD while being picked off twice. FA signee Rueben Randle was on the receiving end a majority of those yards.  The Bolts will be getting ready for in-state rival, Raider Nation next week.  Saints prep for an important division game against a Tampa Bay team looking to score it's first win of the season.

RAMS SURVIVE A UGLY GAME IN ST. LOUIS!

49ers 20 - 28 Rams
It seemed as if neither team wanted to win the game.  In a game that witnessed a total of 10 turnovers, the Rams were able to come away victorious thanks to a solid game by 2nd year HB Todd Gurley and Rookie WR Sheroid Holland.  Gurley rushed for 86yrd on 9 carries.  Holland was able to snag 2 TD as he continues to campaign for Offensive Rookie of the Year. The major standout for the 49ers was veteran SS Antoine Bethea.  Bethea picked off 3 passes in a contest that QB Nick Foles would like to forget after tossing 5 interceptions.  The 1-2 49ers will be heading into an early BYE.  The Rams will begin preparations for a trip to Arizona to face off against a winless Cardinals team.

MALLETT UNFLAPPABLE AGAINST COLTS

Ryan Mallett went into Indianapolis with the mission to take sole possession of 1st place in the AFC West.  Mission accomplished!  Mallett put on a stellar performance as he picked apart the Colts' secondary for 264yrd and 4TDs on 21 of 28 passing.  The Colts were able to move the ball consistently but the Texans' bend-but-don't- break approach on defense was able to force the Colts to kick FGs on all 3 trips to the redzone. The defending champs will be traveling Green Bay next in hopes of another road victory.

STEEL CURTAIN DROPS ON PHILLY!!!

To say the Pittsburgh Steelers were clicking on all cylinders would be an understatement!  The Steelers hosted a Eagles team that was expected to cause all sorts of problems for defenses this season.  The Steelers defense did not get that memo as they all but completely shut down the Eagles offense. Causing 5 TO and sacking Eagles' QB Stephen Morris 4 times eventually putting him out of the game with a injury. Mark Sanchez relieved Morris but did not fair much better throwing an INT on his 2nd pass attempt.  The Eagles look to regroup at home when the Redskins come to town.  Pittsburgh hope to keep up the defensive intensity as they travel into Met Life Stadium to line up against the G-Men in NY.

DALLAS PULLS THROUGH IN A TIGHT CONTEST!

DAL 34 - 31 NYG
Dez Bryant went into this week's game with bad intentions for the NYG secondary.  It played out well Bryant and rookie QB Samuel Motes as the two connected 9 times for 261yrds and 2 TDs.  This is by far the most productive game put together by any WR this season. The Giants had no answer for the duo but managed to keep the game close as Drew Brees spread the ball around to 7 different WRs for 3 TDs.  The key however was Brees' 3 INTs. In a postgame interview, Drew Brees put the lost soley on his shoulders. The two will meet again in WK 14.  Until then the Cowboys will prepare to travel to Baltimore team that has post the 2nd best passing defense in the league through 2 weeks. The Giants will prepare to host offensive powerhouse Pittsburgh Steelers.

BEARS OVERWHELMED IN DETROIT

CHI 17 - 41 DET
Tony Romo seems to be getting a better grasp on Jermaine "Nickelology" Morris' offensive gameplan.  Romo was able to post a 100.5 QBR throwing for 267yrds, 2 TDs, and 0 ints this week against BA Kent and the Bears.  This was after a subpar performance last week against NYG in which Romo tossed 3 ints and 38.5 QBR in a disappointing lost to the G-Men.  This week was different.  Romo found 6 different WR but it was obvious that the man dubbed "Megatron" was his favorite target.  As for the Bears signal caller, Jay Cutler, it was a day he would like to forget as fast as possible. While Cutler was able to amass 355yrds, he also threw for a season high 5 ints getting well acquainted with Detroit's' Rookie FS Malcom Miles as the rookie picked the veteran of twice in the contest. Seasoned CB Chris Houston also had 2 ints for Detroit.  Both teams look to improve on 1-1 records next week as the Bears host Minnesota and the Lions will travel to the sunshine state for a tough test in Jacksonville.

FALCONS CHIEFS LIGHT UP THE SCOREBOARD!!!

ATL 51 - 62 KC
Despite going for 24-35 for over 412yrds passing, Matt Ryan and the Atl Falcons could not pull out the win.  Why?  That's because the Alex Smith and the Chiefs went 20-29 and 462yrds passing themselves!  Fans of both teams were treated to an offensive explosion of a game that saw a total of 14 touchdowns and over a 1500yards TOTAL YRDS GAINED. The Falcons' HB Tevin Coleman put on another stellar performance rushing for 116yrds and 125yrds receiving with 1 TD proving himself to be a dangerous dual threat.  Chiefs are making great use of Rookie WR Terrell Hudson as he caught 6 passes for 160yrds making it to paydirt a game high 3 times. Chiefs CB Marcus Peters was able to pick Matt Ryan off twice including a pick 6.  Demetrius and his Falcons look to rebound next week against a hungry Buccs team while JMac and the Chiefs look to continue offensive dominance up in Indy.

Browns Route Redskins 17-10!!

CLE 17 - 10 WAS
Nate McGrady and the Cleveland Browns are off to a 2-0 start as they go into DC and take of business.  The Browns used a balanced offensive attack to come away with 17-10 win. Wayne Lesane and the Redskins continue to search for answers on offense as they turned the ball over 4 times. Next week the Browns will host Ken Thorton's Bengals as Wayne and his Redskins travel to Philly to play a tough Eagles team under Justin Howland

TEXANS HOIST THE LOMBARDI

The Texans are you Super Bowl 50 winners after fending off a tough Seahawks team 22-20 in beautiful San Francisco CA. One could argue that the Game MVP belongs to kicker Randy Bullock as the stiff Seattle defense was able to shut down the redzone but could not stop Bullock from splitting the cross bars for 5 FGs. Ryan Mallet was 18 for 23 throwing for 307 yards and the only Texans TD.  Both defenses never let the opposing offense get any rhythm going.  Lynch was a non factor as he rushed for a miniscule 33yrds while Foster rushed for a respectable 67yrds.  Russell Wilson tossed 2 TDs to go along with an INT for a total of 239yards in the loss.  Congrats to your 2015 SB Champions the HOUSTON TEXANS!

Bucs Steal One In Atlanta!!

Bucs 22- Falcons 19

The bucs go into ATL and take down the league bully and stole a game. Julio Jones was a force with 6 receptions for 116. Him and Matt Ryan were apart of the flate gate fiasco and showed it tonight.

The Atl defense was all over the place tonight but could not stop STOP sweet feet Charles Sims with the 111 yards rushing followed up with 104 yards receiving.

It was a tough game as ATL was driving for the game winning touchdown on the feet of SLOW AS MOLASSES Matt Ryans scramb...ling but was stopped short with the GAME WINNING interception by Keith Tandy to close out the game. Sent them pigeons in the locker room scratching their head.

Colts Find A Rushing Attack!!!

Dri Archer is all smile's after Sunday's game against the Saint at Lucas Oil Stadium.  Archer and the Colts were able to slash the Saints defense for 182yrds on the ground in route to a 30-24 win in OT.  It's unusual to see this type of production in Indy's run game.  Up until Sunday's game, the Colts only averaged 54yrds rushing per game.  The addition of Dri Archer to the backfield has added a new dimension to the Colts potent offense.  "Dri has pretty much breathed life into our rushing attack!  His speed is unmatched and it allows Frank (Gore) to rest up until he's needed in short yardage situations" explained Coach TD Dupree.  Dri Archer finished the day with 145yrds on 28 carries to go along with the game winning TD in OT.  Frank Gore proved to still be efficient running between the tackles as he pounded inside for 33yrds on 7 carries and 2 TDs.  Next up is a tough Panthers team that is coming off a win against the Eagles this week.  The matchup should be interesting and Dri may be an interesting fantasy pick considering the Panthers gave up nearly 200yrds to Demarco Murray and company.
