Season Long Fantasy

Hello Fellow Revoians,

We're trying something different this season, running a FanDuel /  DraftKings style contest that will last the duration of the season. You won't pick weekly lineups, just one lineup for the entire year. There will be no substition for injury so factor that in when selecting your team.

We are still finalizing rewards, but it will likely be something like this:

1st place - Any Dev

2nd and 3rd - Normal To Quick Dev

4th and 5th - +1 to any attribute

Using the link below you can view and create your lineups, I haven't added the function to submit the lineup but wanted to give everyone a chance to start looking at their team. I'll be working on adding that tonight, and making it look a little nicer.

http://revodraftkings.surge.sh/

*If there's a rookie that's not listed that you'd like to select let me (Reece) know and i'll manually add them in.

Revo Invitational 2020

Similar to the bracket we ran before we started this season, we will be running a bracket before we start the 2020 season. Differences are that this is for non-playoff teams only, and that the rewards for winning are slightly different.

The winner of the bracket will be able to dev any normal dev player to quick.

The runner up of the bracket will be able to add +1 to any non-physical attribute ( NOT speed, accel, agility, strength, etc) for any player.

The bracket starts now, and will run until finished or draft day.

Trade Submission Process

Starting today, we will have a new trade submission process. Instead of gathering photos or daddyleague links and sending them to a commish you, or your trade partner, will submit it through a google form.

The benefits of this are:

  1. All commish can see the sheet, so you won't have to send it one and wait for them to then copy it into the commish chat
  2. I'll share the sheet of approved trades so there will be transparency.
  3. It will make it easier for the commish, so it will be easier and quicker to get trades processed.

Link to the form is here: https://goo.gl/forms/eKN9sBaJMkMQYNaP2

I believe it is pretty straightforward, but if you have any questions let me know.

Waiver Order

How waiver order was decided

First, users were sorted by what team choice number they received. So if you received your 1st choice team, you were at the end of waiver order. If you received your 7th choice team you were at the front.

Second, users in each group were sorted by team overall, with higher overall being later in the waiver order. If there was a tie, a random number was given to each team and the higher random number got a lower waiver spot. This is how we got our initial order.

Since the initial order was completed, we've had 2 new users and 2 team swaps. The team swaps, Steelers and Bucs, were moved to end of the waivers. The new users, Colts and Jets, were randomly inserted somewhere between 2th and 16th pick.

So, there you go.

Waivers will start once the league starts, so start looking for your guys now.

Each participant will also be able to fill out a bracket, picking who they will believe will win each matchup. The person with the best bracket will also receive a reward

Rewards:

Tournament winner gets to dev any player up one dev.

AFC West

Broncos - Aaroncapa

Capa gets his first choice team, and will be representing the Denver Broncos in M19. The talent level definitely seems to be on the decline, but there are still some pieces to work with.

On offense, Emanuel Sanders and Demaryious Thomas are both borderline elite, but are getting up there in age. The O-line, is decent but they’ll be protecting an expensive QB with little upside. I don’t see him starting for long. Aaron will likely need to address the TE and HB situation relatively soon, as there aren’t impact players on the roster.

On defense, the front seven is fairly loaded. Von Miller will, of course, be a monster and rookie Bradley Chubb has a good shot at winning defensive rookie of the year. Shane Ray, Brandon Marshall, Shaq Barrett and Derrick Wolfe round it out nicely. The loss of Aqib Talib will hurt short term, but he was old anyway and Chris Harris and Bradley Roby are still a good duo. Don’t forget the Broncos also have Sua Cravens as a potential user MLB and everyone’s favorite punter, Marquette King. The roster is good enough that Capa should be able to compete for a wildcard spot every season.

Chargers - TrueShootaNJ

TrueShootaNJ got his 3rd choice team, the semi-newly Los Angeles Chargers, and altought I’m sure he would have prefered his 1 or 2, the chargers are one of the more loaded teams.

Offensively, Phillip Rivers is an obvious replacement after the first season, but beyond him there isn’t much work to be done. Keenan Allen is already a stud, Travis Benjamin is the speed threat, and Tyrell Williams is a good WR2. 2018 1st round pick Mike Williams unfortunately, might be too slow to be worthwhile. Melvin Gordon is one of the top RB in the league, and Hunter Henry is probably the best young TE in the game. The O-line is passable, but could stand to be approved pretty much everywhere.

On defense, Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram arguably make up the best pass rush duo in the league. CB Cam Hayward and Jason Verrett are also one of the better tandems in the league. The safeties and LB core have some nice pieces, including user MLB monster Jatavis Brown and rookie SS Derwin James. I can’t remember anything about TrueShoota’s skill level, but with this roster I’d be surprised if he finished below .500 most years

Chiefs - Reggie

Reggie is a new user, recommended by EagleMVP, so I have no idea if he will usurp Doom and run the division or if he will be the whipping boy. Either way, he has a fun team to play with.

Offensively, where else is there to start but with Tyreek Hill. 98 speed is no joke. The line is above average so strong arm Mahomes should have time to chuck it deep, and if he doesn’t there’s always Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins to check down to. Backup TE Demetrius Harris and WR Chris Conley also have speed to spare. Kareem Hunt was rewarded by the Madden Gods for his good rookie campaign and will be a great starter for the entirety of M19. This team should put up a lot of points

The defense is the weaker of the two units, but still has a good set of players. SS Eric Berry is arguably the best in the game, DE Chris Jones is a quietly a very good player, and ROLB Justin Houston should still have a few good years left in him. The Chiefs will miss Marcus Cooper, but replacements David Amerson and Kendall Fuller should fill in just fine. The middle of the defense will need to be improved, because they don’t have much in the way of interior linemen or MLB. Assuming Reggie can put up points, he should be ok, but we’ll have to wait and see what kind of player he is.

Raiders - Doom

Doom gets the Raiders, possibly in the last year they’re good before Gruden ruins them. They were his fourth choice team, and even with their downsides I’m sure he’ll still be annoying and win the division every year anyway.

The offensive line, is still full of monsters and is likely the best except for Dallas. Rookie Colton Miller will replace old man Donald Penn, either right away or next season. It’ll be interesting to see what direction Doom goes at HB. Beast Mode is on his last legs, and Doug Martin, Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington are all kind of meh. Amari Cooper will be fixed up quickly after his below average 2018 season. New addition Jordy Nelson will likely only last a season, but Martavis Bryant should be around a while. Real life shitty, but madden awesome TE Jared Cook will probably be his solution there.

On defense, there’s Khalil Mack and Bruce Irvin off the edges. Karl Joseph and Gareon Conly will be franchise starters at SS and CB. Rashaan Melvin will probably start off at CB1, Obi Melifonwu will either get replace him or be the franchise starter at FS. Doom will have to find a cheese LB to use, Nicholas Morrow might be the answer to start. Tahir Whitehead should start at one LB spot as well. There are a lot of places where improvements could be made, but with Doom’s user skills the defense will be good enough to get by.

NFC West

49ers - Teddy

Teddy was one of the 15 users that got their top choice, and he will be coaching the San Francisco 49ers this year. Although the Niners seem to be a more exciting in real life than in Madden, they still have some pieces that will be fun to play with.

Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida are a good backfield combo with nice physical attributes, George Kittle isn’t great but has that cheese TE speed. The WR core isn’t elite by any means but has a deep threat in Goodwin and solid posession guys in Pettis and Garcon. And let’s not forget about likely super star dev QB, Jimmy G. On the defensive side there’s some solid pieces in DeForest Buckner, Solomon Thomas and Reuben Foster but some it will take some work to get it where he wants it. This team is good enough that Teddy should be able to challenge for the playoffs right from the start.

Cardinals - Jesse

Poor Jesse, never gets his beloved Reskins because he always puts down the Cardinals as well. They were his 4th choice team, but at least he’s reunited with his BFF Res.

The Cards have an elite core of three players. David Johnson, Pat Pete and Chandler Jones. Larry Fitz is too old to be counted on for more than this season. Beyond that there are some promising younger players like Budda Baker, Haasan Riddick and Robert Nkemdiche. Christian Kirk should be a nice piece as well.

We all know Jesse will cheese JJ Nelson to hell, and Deone Buchanon is a great user MLB. His success in M19 will likely hinge on whether he can turn rookie QB Josh Rosen into a star, and not ruin him with interceptions. This division doesn’t have a clear cut best user, so if the cards fall his way (get it?) I can see Jesse being in the playoff hunt every season.

Seahawks - Res

Res made the mistake of being one of three people to select the Seahawks, all three had them as their 7th choice.

It’s strange to think how popular the Seahawks were last year, and how quickly they fell off. They still have Earl Thomas, Bobby Wagner and Russell Wilson but there isn’t a lot beyond that. The Griffin Brothers will be fun to play with, and the defense has enough pieces to be solid, even though many are older journeyman types. The offense however will be a struggle.

The O-line still is a weak spot and there is no TE of note. The WR are unexciting, excepting Doug Baldwin who will be a solid player. Res will have to rely on, and hopefully quickly improve, rookie RB Reshaad Penny. I don’t expect Res to make the playoffs with this version of the Seahawks, but with a couple good drafts to restock who knows.

Rams - McGuffy

McGuffy didn’t get his first choice Giants, but shouldn’t be too disappointed with his second choice Rams. Especially when considering the Rams were tied for the 2nd most wanted team with 17 selections.

Honestly, this team is stacked. Guff may have some difficult cuts to make in a couple seasons but that’s not a bad problem to have. The O-line is solid, the TE Everett and Higbee are good enough, the WR core of Cooks, Woods and Cupp is varied enough for whatever offense he wants to run, and Goff is good enough to get the job done. And there’s some Gurley dude in the backfield that I’ve heard is decent.

On the defensive side, Aaron Donald is a one man wrecking crew. As if that wasn’t enough, they added Suh, CBs Marcus Cooper and Aqib Talib to go along with Michael Brockers, Lamarcus Joyner and user MLB Mark Barron. It will be a little embarrassing if McGuffy doesn’t make the playoffs every season with this team.
