NFA 2016 Mid-Season Grades:
1) Titans 8-0: Coach Ryan the reigning 2015 Nfa top user is picking up right where he left off. The Titans have the #2 offense and #3 defense. They’ve been healthy and Blowing out the undefeated Texans and Colts by a combined score of 87-20 put them in a league of their own. Other than a player suspension they’ve had a perfect start to the season.
2) Eagles 8-0: The Mayo/Eagles are another top team from 2015 and are off to another fast start. Historically Mayo run teams are slow paced ground and pound teams. And this year is no different. Currently #1 running and against the run the Eagles will be a serious contender for the Super Bowl.
3) Seahawks 7-1: Last season saw coach Lump win one or two user games. Turn the page to 2016 and he’s coached the Seahawks to 7-1. With a top good offense and top 5 defense the Seahawks could make a serious run come playoff time.
4) Cardinals 7-1: New to the NFA for 2016 Penley has taken the Cards to a 7-1 start. The Cards have a top 5 passing attack and seem to have a knack for winning games in the 4th quarter. With five of the cards last 8 games are against current playoff teams they’ll be a battle tested team come playoff time, assuming that they make it.
5) Packers 7-1: Quietly the Packers have run up a 7-1 record. And other than their loss (33-7 to the Seahawks) they have beat every opponent by two scores or more. With the talent on hand Deuce and the Pack are set up to fight for a top spot in the NFC.
6) Houston 7-1: One of the better users last season Carlos Frank has opened up the season win a bang. The only blemish being the loss to the Titans. With the schedule it’s hard to tell where they’ll finish but the safe money has them in playoffs.
7) Ravens 7-1: After flirting with leaving the Ravens, Coach UBETTERPOWERUP decided to reup with the Ravens and the fan base couldn’t be happier. You know the Ravens will be a playoff team. The question is have far will they go?
8) Vikings 7-1: When you play the Vikes, its Peterson, Peterson, Peterson. The question for Coach Zal is, will he be able to get the Vikings over the hump that is the Greenbay Packers?
9) Cowboys 6-2: After having modest success coaching the Jets last season Coach Dennis Laurent has gotta the Cowboys into second place in the tough nfc east. If not for two losses to the Eagles we’d be saying 1st place.
10) Colts 7-2: Hotrod is back! After taking the Colts to the playoffs year one in 2015, Rod crashed down in year two. Then becoming a here and there guy the rest of the franchise. The Colts don’t have an easy schedule, but with the way they’re playing that shouldn’t matter!
11) Chiefs 5-3: Cam was an up and coming team in last years franchise. He took the Flacons to the Super bowl and then retired after. Only to return at the end of the franchise. This season Cam has shown the talent is still there, the Chiefs just need consistency.
12) Steelers 6-3: The most disappointing team from last year’s franchise is off to a pretty good start. A balanced attack coupled with a surprisingly Average defense has the Steelers in the playoff discussion.
13) Patriots 4-4: The offseason trade master is kinda hard to get a read on. The Pats have the most Simmed/Auto’d games in the league. On the positive side you could argue that their record should/could be better, being that they’ve all been losses.
14) Chargers 4-5: Another new Coach to the NFA. Coach Dillon has had a tough schedule to start the season. As well being hit by the injury bug( Rivers missing a good chuck of time). Even with that at 4-5 they're still alive.
15) Saints 4-5: Noles returns after retiring aftrer season 2 last year. The Results arent as good. The Saints have been inconsistant at best. Still the Saints sit atop the weak NFC South, and if they can figure it out smart money says they'll be a tough out come playoff time.
16) Buffalo 4-5: Another coach that made the playoffs every year last season, Coach Free sees his team sitting at 4-4 in the weak AFC east. If the Bills can stop turnig the ball over they could challenge for the division. If not, at least they got their QB of the future in David Carr.
17) Redskins 4-4: The "Most Hated Man in the NFA!" This is titke that coach Grosh embraces. Problem is unlike last seasons 16-0 1st season, the Skins sit at 4-4. Theres been good, but too much bad. With a pretty tough schedule, Grosh's detractors are expecting him hang it up come November. Will he prove them wrong?
18) Jags 4-4: After some Cell phone issues Cody took over a weak Jags team and has kept them in the hunt within the toughest division in the NFA. The Jags are playing with house money, anything over 8-8 is a huge plus for this franchise.
19) Jets 3-5: Coach Dream played well but doesnt like the game. So i guess the Jets will be looking for a new Coach:(
20 Raiders 3-5: Liliphrat may make some questionable trades, but you can't question his teams will to win. And at 3-5 they have to start winning, NOW!
21 Denver 2-6: Coach Brooks is having a tough first season in the NFA. Denvers been in most games, but keeps coming up short. With a strong second half and a good offseason, Denver will be a team to watch next Season.
22 Browns 3-6: the Browns are sitting at 3rd in the AFC North and its looking like they'll miss the playoffs. The plus side is coach Killer has shown improvment week to week, and if history repeats the Browns will be back in the Hunt next season.
23 Lions 2-6: After losing out on his bid to coach the Bills. Loco took his talents to Detroit. The results havent been ther, but with fairly young and talented squad, Loco could have the Lions back in the hunt next season.
24 49ers 2-6: O'hara returned to take over a 0-4 9ers team. So on the plus side he is 2-2. But the 49er faithful know this just a test run for next season.
25 Panthers 2-6: Ali finally got his mobile QB, Then he got hurt. Hidden in that 2-6 record is a few real close games. The panthers are still alive in the weakest division in the NFA., but realistically are building toward next year.
26 Bengals 2-6: Rich has had a rough year and been hit with a key injury at the QB position. But unlike last season these Bengals are in games. If they can learn to play defense and cut the turnovers they'll be playoff team next season.
27 Giants 2-7: Playing n the NFC east is NEVER easy. But the Giants seemed ready to compete after a week 3 win over the skins they seemed ready to compete. Unfortunately for Giants fans that was an illusion.
28 Tampa 2-6: Tomas is anothe guy to take over a team after it was 0-2. So at 2-4 in the weak NFC south, Tomas has got a real good shot at the playoffs.
29 Falcons 3-6: Coach Sooner rated so low because he had coached the winless Rams and has yet to win a user game in the league. After being a seasonly Super Bowl pick last season, no user has struggled more to fing his game. The plus side for Falcons fans is that MD always gets better.
30 Miami 0-8: The best winless team in the league. Coach Huey has been in most games since making the move from the NHL and MLB.
31 Rams 0-8: Little is known about the new coach of the Rams. Hes 0-1(sim loss) and the Rams are playing for pride.
32 Bears 0-8: Mikey has been out scored 343 to 59. The Bears are need of a ful rebuild, and Mikey is taking them there.
Trade deadline is up.
4 undefeated still. Titans Texans Seahawks and Eagles. 3 winless. Dolphins Bears Rams. Game of the week Titans Texans. Let's hope it's better than colts Titans.
