It's been a bumpy ride so far this season for the Detroit Lions. They have struggled to string together back to back wins and both the offense and defense have had their share of successes and failures. Although they are ranked 7th in the Power Rankings, they ranked 21st and 27th in pass and rush defense. They are giving up 21 points a game and are in last place in the NFC North even though they have defeated both the Packers and Vikings. They are 2-4 in non-conference games losing in week 8 to the Falcons 35-33.
Offensively, they are one of the most explosive teams. They are ranked first in total yards and passing yards. They are ranked 2nd in scoring with 29.6 points per game. Calvin Johnson and Matty Stafford continue to be the bright spots. The need to find a running game and fast as they are ranked 21st in rushing yards.
There are plenty of games left for the Lions to turn this season around but will need a lot of help from their defense and Reggie Bush.
