Your Cowboys have started off 0-3 and are looking to rebound this week against the 2-1 New England Patriots. A tuff task at hand with New England holding the number 2 spot in pass defense, while Dallas finds themselves almost dead last in total offense (31)! Last season is long forgotten where the Cowboys steam rolled all opponents with their massive rushing attack averaging almost 200 rushing yards a game. This season they don't even have 75 a game! Something has to change, but what will it be? It didn't help that newly acquired free agent TE Ladarius Green went down in week 1 with a shoulder injury after having 4 catches for 95 yards. He's slated to return to practice in two weeks. QB Patrick Foreman has more interceptions (6) through 3 games than what he had the entire 2018 season. What will the Cowboys do? We will have to see how game 4 goes, but if they don't start winning soon they might as well buy themselves a flight and ticket because that's the only way they will reach the playoffs!

The Bolts shocked the Browns with wind and lighting and it caused a power outage that changed the flow and outcome of the game. Even with this setback the game still took place and the Bolts came out on top 27-17 to win their second game in a row this season. They did this behind a strong defensive effort. Before the power outage they were playing lights out and kept up the strong play afterwards. Nathan Enderle stepped in nicely and went 20/32 for 221 Yards and 1 TD. He hit 8 different receivers this week. Ryan Mathews got hurt early and did not return to the game so we got to see veteran Danny Woodhead strut his stuff on 10 carries for 41 yards and a TD. Ladarius Green led all receivers for the 3rd straight time this season. He hauled in 12 receptions for 104 yards and a TD. He is really stepping into those big shoes that Antonio Gates left behind and doing very well wearing them. The Bolts have the Panthers next week so this will be their first out of conference game. We will see how they look going against a foe that they do not face often.
The Chargers came out swinging against the Big Ben and the Steelers! They came out on top 52-10 this week to bring their record to .500, but that win came with 2 big losses. One of those losses is the rookie starting QB Drake Patti who is 28/41 for 348 yards and 3 TD’s on the season. He has a ruptured disk and is out for a minimum of 7 weeks. That is a blow for the Chargers, but 4 year veteran back-up Nathan Enderle came in the game and went 9/10 for 105 yards and a TD. Now the Bolts are going to look to Enderle to be the leader with Rivers being the back-up. Another big blow was on the defensive side and that was starting CB Derek Cox who has 7 Tackles and 2 INT’s this season. He broke his collarbone and will be out for at least 6 weeks. Steve Williams and Chimdi Chekwa will split time to cover the loss. Rookie CB Fernando Padilla continued his outstanding play this week and snatched up another 2 INT’s and 1 Tackle. He already has 3 INT’s this season and the Bolts at loving this 3rd round pick from SMU! LaDarius Green led all receivers for the second week in a row with 8 receptions, 127 yards, and 2 TD’s. Ryan Matthews missed having a 100/100 game by just 6 receiving yards. Outstanding game by the Bolts, but the front office said that it came at a big expense. Next week the Bolts are taking their show on the road to visit the Cleveland Browns in another AFC showdown!
The new revamped Super Chargers are looking much improved behind the new ownership this season. Even with a loss, you can clearly see that they have improved drastically! They took the field in week one at home against the Denver Broncos behind Rookie QB Drake Patti From Washington State who went 20/29 for 196 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INT in his NFL debut. The Chargers lost the game 28-20, but came out firing on all cylinders and looked really good early. Patti threw two picks late in the game, with one being inside the opponent’s 5 yard line that was costly. Ladarius Green led all receivers with 8 receptions and racked up 116 yards and 1 TD. Chargers fans loved the off-season signing of MLB Ray Lewis, which got into the action with 1 tackle. We still think that signing was just to sell tickets and was purely a publicity stunt. Surprising 3rd Round Pick Rookie CB Fernando Padilla from SMU found himself slotted into the starting position and looked really good on the field. He came away with 1 INT and 1Tackle in his NFL debut. Ryan Matthews said he would love to touch the ball more and believes that if he touches the ball 25 times a game that they will win the game. The Chargers go on the road next week to the 1-0 Pittsburgh Steelers in an AFC showdown. See you there!
