This division saw a lot of change over seven seasons. The Patriots had the famous Brady year in which they were left with nothing. The Jets brought in a lot of good talent in the draft. The Bills came back strong after an PEDs scandal to be an impressive team in MBL. And the Dolphins lost Taut but we gained a great owner in Albidnis. |

This may have been the toughest division over the back half of this Madden. The Chiefs and Broncos dominated it mostly with each hitting 70 wins. This was also two teams that saw a lot of change especailly at QB. We saw the injury to Cole Parker go down that we will never forget. While one of Princes bad years with Bortles not being the answer, but sticking with him to make a come back. The Chargers argue to be the best team out of the division with their two AFC championships. They couldn't grab a Super Bowl title but did a lot of great things over the time. The Raiders fought tough through this challenge and ended on a strong 9-7 record as we move into M17. |

The Ravens saw so much growth over this Madden that everyone couldn't deny. While both the Ravens and the Browns changed owners later in the year there were good steps taken. As Pricy and Flyer head to new divsions next Madden, they will certainly be contenders due to the growth they experienced as new MBL owners to part of the MBL family. |

Heading into the next Madden, JY will be taking over as the Bucs owner. Based on his history with defense, he will fit in greatly with that team and make it a defensive power in that division. Also, Homer will be heading to his hometown Vikings which will be a great experience for him. |

The Eagles and Redskins both had great years but they struggled to find consistancy. While the Eagles ran to the NFC championship one year, their QB play was always a question. This will certainly not be an issue next year. As far as the Redskins, they had many playoff spots but couldn't push through. However, they did draft some of the best players we've witnessed over the last year. The Giants were the team from this division to capture a Super Bowl. While they have now changed owners, they are still loaded with some of the best talent in the league. When we talk about drafted players you have to look at the Cowboys and their bulldozing HB as well as the electric WR. This owner will certainly produce being able to control a team from start to finish next year. |

The Seahawks and the Drako Defense Rams always battled for the division. This was always fun to watch because it came down to the last week. This was capped off by a 10-6 record by each team in the final year. Checking out their records, they were almost the same team. While competing each other at such a high level, these two provided great battles for the league to watch. The Cardinals had so much drafted talent but it felt as if when one area developed, another fell apart. Playa heads to Seattle next year and he will have a great team to work with so I expect big things from a long time MBL owner. The 49ers is a team that was falling apart even before new ownership came in. They seemed to get the older players in FA and never got to take off. Some high points for them are a few of their drafted guys, which can give confidence they'll be a great team start to finish. |

The Lions did something that I don't know can ever be done again. Winning 100 games in a year is incredible impressive. Also, just 1 division loss over the entire year. This is not a shock when you consider their 2 Super Bowl titles. Offseasons moves and Stafford made them elite. The Bears, Packers, and Vikings all showed great growth and development over the past year. This is not just from a win loss perspective. As far as learning how players fit in to how to draft and then play. APV made a smart choice in taking the 49ers, while Unisolated gets his Pats, and Bob takes over an incredible Cardinals team. Look for big things from all three of these great MBL contributing owners. |

The Falcons were very impressive with 90 wins and the Panthers with 77. These two battles for the division every year, but One n Only always came out on top. The amazing 46-10 records at home and on the road made them tough to beat. Both topping 50+ wins in the conference, they were always tough. The Bucs changed owners but MBL gained a great asset in CMF. Through graphic design and league content earning him an MBL member of the month mark, this guy is MBL 4 Life. Even after taking over a team ignored by someone else, he was able to step up to be an MBL Most Improved Owner in season 16. With a good Ravens team that has a shot and his team building skills, watch out in M17. Frye and the Saints have been a great MBL contributor as well. The MBL Network T-Shirts that so many people have been spotted wearing are a significant contribution from Frye. As far as the Saints, Nick Gordon was a great WR in MBL and was a top story line for many seasons. While the wins were not as high as desired the team did get better over the sesons. This is yet again another owner who can do big things being able to make all the calls from start to finish. |

The Patriots had a crazy season last year, but then come back this year completely flat. They found a good and young QB to lead the way but things just never fully clicked. The best thing about this team is that they have a lot of good young talent and playoff exerience. They're going to come back strong for the division next year. The Jets are a great MBL story. The team needed completely rebuilt on offense almost and just a few guys on defense. They drafted well and signed smart FAs to make this team an 8-8 squad. They fell one game short of the division, but with just one more season they could easily be there. Another solid offseason and they're there. The Dolphins had an experiment with Big Ben coming to Florida from Pittsburgh. This did not end up well and they actually had less wins with Big Ben than the QBs who came before him. There is just a system issue in Miami which needs resolved becaue the talent is there, and Lamar Miller struggled to find the endzone this year. Once they find who they are on the field this will be a great team. |

The Kansas City Chiefs had a flat season. It was as if Prince could just never get it rolling and ended up at the bottom of the division and out of the playoffs. This is an unusual position for Prince, so I know that with this roster, they will figure out the system and the Chiefs will be playoff bound again next year. Denver Broncos went against what everyone said and made the playoffs while Cole Parker sat on the injury list. Out for the season the Broncos had to make some magic happen. It came down to the last week but this team made the playoffs. This is scary, knowing Cole Parker is ready to return next year. The Chargers were are back to their Super Bowl form this year but are also dealing with a QB issue. Spriggs is out for the season which means that Ryan Mallet will be taking playoff snaps. The team is solid and even if they fall short this year, next year could be huge with a good roster and Spriggs back. The Raiders were not that bad this year after adding some major power to their defense. The interesting thing is that they were the only team from the AFC to beat the Chargers. This is a team that has a lot on the roster, but just needs the gameplan to follow through and they'll be in the fight. |

The Cleveland Browns did a wild thing and let both rookie QBs take suspensions. The refusal to play Johnny Manzeil led to a horrible season and QB play. The defense has some solid pieces, but the team is highlighted by their HB play. New owner FCFlyer is going to have fun with this. The Steelers had their first season with Lucky Jordan at QB who played extremely well. The stroyline was LeVeon Bell being the MBL MVP rushing for 1 yard shy of the MBL record. The defense also stepped up and played at a Top 10 level which we have seen only one time from the Steelers. The Ravens are the hottest and upcoming team in MBL. Pricy has been getting better every season and has this team to a point at which they will be in the playoff hunt without a doubt. The roster is set. The staff is great. It is just up to the offseason moves which will be good, and the Ravens are ready to roll. |

The Jaguars let their franchise QB walk and the offense completely shut down. The defense was good but not at the peak that it once was. They were in a lot of close games which says that if there would be one or two additions this offseason they could catch up to their division opponents quick. The Titans were also a far shot to win the division at the end of the year. Once again there is a roster with talent that only needs a few more pieces to be a 10 win team. This is something that can be done as all of these teams are in a similar situation. They just have to get the right FA and rookies. The Texans finally did it as they became an 8-8 team and a division winner. This is their first division title in MBL and a great step for the Texans. They have always had their franchise QB and many other pieces, so this team could be a super contender next season. |

The Cowboys beast running game faded this season and so did their wins. There was just something off about the Cowboys but the good news is that they have a talented roster. With offseason coming up, there are one or two pieces away from having division winning team, which has already proven it can beat the Giants. The Eagles need help on offense. It just seems like the offense is flat or Patrick doesn't have any help. This is something that needs addressed this offseason. The defense plays well at times and when put together will be a team that can certainly aim for a wildcard spot. The Redskins have been all over the place. This team has a very good scouting staff and will hit homers all day with the draft. They are loaded with talent, especially on offense. If the defense comes to play a bit more next year they could easily become division champions. The Giants are a team much like the Bengals. They have a full loaded squad on offense and defense. There is no reason that Super Bowl can't happen for this team. Two 1k WR and a good defense, they need to make it there this season. |

The 49ers have a lot of older talent but it is still talent. This will require a lot of patience to make them a playoff team. If they can have a good FA and draft, then those vets can imporive the youngsters greatly. This is step one in taking SF to the SB. The Seahawks are much like the Bengals and Giants as well. This team is fully loaded front to back, and needs to get themselves a Super Bowl title. QB play is great and the defense is always stepping up. It isn't going to be easy but it is certainly possible for the Seahawks. The Cardinals have a lot of talent but struggle on offense at times. If they can just find consistancy and maybe one more role player for their offense this offseason, this team could make this division extremely competive. This team has a lot going for it right now as offseason approaches. The Rams and the Drako defense are back to the point at which they were the number two seed for playoffs. They snag Belton in FA and make him a star. But we all know the defense is the real leaders, and as long as they stay together it will be good things for the Rams. |

The Lions have had an incredible season led by Stafford and Hopkins. Stafford almost hitting the 5k mark and throwing for 45 TDs, and Hopkins just dominating the league in RAC as an athletic monster. The defense is something you can't ignore because they play great football as well. The Bears did extremely well this season. They figure out some thing on offense and let their defenders play tough football. This is a great step in the right direction. This offseason is going to be huge for them, and they need to build off this success. The Vikings almost made it back to the playoffs. They needed a Seahawks loss AND a win for themselves to make it. This is just so close, but one or two games change their season. They just made playoffs two seasons ago and only need a little bit of help in offseason to get back. The Packers didn't have terrible season before this one, but never repalced Rodgers when they let him go. This led a lot of people to wonder how the other QBs would do, and if they would go get a star. This offseason they need to grab a star QB as there are tons in this years draft. |

The Falcons take their 6th division title this series making the Panthers and their fans want to come back even harder. We get a rematch, game three, of these two in the playoffs. But Joey Bell is just a star and playing incredible well. Look for this team to make the NFC Championship. The Panthers had another good year but once again could not get past the Falcons. The interesting part is that they have a third match up in the Wildcard round coming up. This is another well built team and they are ready to roll in playoffs. They just have to overcome the Falcons. The Bucs were 8-8 the season before but fell off this year. The issue here is that they have many young defenders on their team. Once these guys get some time, they will compete for the division and will be a wildcard contender. The biggest key for this squad now is patience. The Saints get the same advice from me every season. Take the high pick and trade down. This will give the team a lot of solid picks, since they already have a few stars. The issue is lack of depth, and this strategy will help them get there. Once they get some depth, they will begin to win many more games. |

The Patriots stomped their way to a division title and the third seed in the AFC. This team is well put together and well managed and all that is left is to make the run. They had strong year last year and one again now, so the Super Bowl is the only expectation for this team. The Jets let Kaep go and went with the rookie at QB. This guy didn't seem too comfortable but is still young. Ownership has managed the draft well in taking great lineman, so once these are ironed out this will greatly benefit the young QB. This will allow for the Jets to make a wildcard push in a year or two. The Dolphins had a good year going and then got to a tough spot in their schedule and fell apart. This isnt all bad though because now the team has the experience of playing good teams and will be able to compete in the conference better, as well as the division next season. |

The Kansas City Chiefs came back in a dominate way and should have no trouble competing in the playoffs. However, such a gives high expectations for playoffs. This team will well build and managed and just needs to figure out how to play in the playoffs to make a good run. Denver Broncos made the wildcard as the sixth seed and have high expectations. The word around the league is that the team is good in the regular season and always finds a way to heat up for playoffs. This is a good thing for the Broncos and they will need their QB to do the job. The Chargers were in a serious Super Bowl hangover for this season and left a lot of people wondering what was going on. The thing is that they brought in a lot of older talent and it did not pay off. But they still have an electric young QB to carry them. Project Fat just about had it. He ALMOST got it, but Cooper said hell with it and dropped the ball, literally, against the Ravens and then a total meltdown vs the Vikings left him outside again. But, with that said, this team has drafted excelent offensive tallent, and will be in the wildcart hunt for sure next season. |

The Cleveland Browns did their amazing draft stuff and tanked as expected. This team has all the pieces, but might want to upgrade at QB. On the positive side they did take down the Bengals and the Steelers once this season, but overall need to step their game up. The Steelers had a good season but lost twice to the Bengals. At 12-4 they look to make a playoff run. This will be the last season for Big Ben and the defense needs a super upgrade at safety if they want to be serious next year. The Ravens new owner has made huge progress during his time and showed that he can make moves to make the team better. Getting better every season with smart moves in the draft and even bringing in a new QB, this team is on the rise for sure. |

The Jaguars turned everything around but in the bad way. They were a really good team with positive pieces coming in all the time. The team just didn't play well this year. But this gives them the top pick overall. This is where Jags owner should move back and grab multiple players all over the field. The Titans had to come down to the final week to take the divsion but creep into the playoffs at 7-9. This is not a winning record but doesn't mean the team should be over looked. They just need to put it all together every game, because when they do they can be a force. The Texans have once again improved to being one game way from 8-8 and a division title. This has been one of the geatest projects over this Madden and I know that they will make the playoffs at some point. They are the team that is getting better every season. |

The Cowboys need to rely on their run game moving forward. There needs to be an obvious run first attitude beacuse they have the line and the back. This team is seriously dominant at running the ball, which will take pressure off the QB and the defense. The Eagles and Patrick are still trying to figure it out. It seems that the defense is usually the rock of this team but when they dont have that it is hard to win. This is a tough division with it producing two team into the playoffs, but I think with a few offseason additions the Eagles could be that second team next year. The Redskins have been another team that is always getting better. Not always making the playoffs, but improving especially in the draft. This team doesn't need a lot at this point, but just needs to go get it done. The problem is that there is a tough field ahead of them. The Giants wil have Teddy for the playoffs and need to make it count. There is no reason that this team shouldn't win a Super Bowl. They are loaded, prepared, and in the playoffs. Its just time to take it. If they do not, it will cause questions onto Teddy and his salary. |

The 49ers took a step back in wins but made huge improvments to stats, especailly completion percentage. This team needs to cut the age and bring in young guys that will just hold onto the football. Once that is done then this team could certainly compete for a division title. The Seahawks went to 14-2 this season and balled out in the draft. They made huge moves bringing in some amazing talent that really opened up their offense. They now have one of the most stacked teams in the league as far as talent, they just have to put it all together. The Cardinals were off to a hot start this year but just couldn't keep it together. However, they did bring in some good pieces on both sides of the ball, and I think if they can do it again, it will be a team to make this already tough division, even tougher. Expectations are high for Playa. The Rams seem to have lost their defense that made them so special. But do not worry as this team has just a few holes to fill in order to bring that back. Once this team starts firing on defense, it will be easier for the offense. Then the wins will come. |

The Lions are just one loss away from their 10th lossi n MBL. Pretty amazing isn't it. Stafford has rocked the league for five straight years and will do so again. If the trend follows, the Lions will be Super Bowl champs again this season. And still 0 Ls for the Lions within their division. The Bears took a CB in the draft and didn't look back. The small moves are building up and will eventually get them in contention for the wildcard. The divsion however will be tougher, but the wildcard will be in play in two seasons for the Bears. The Vikings did not rebound well from their playoff loss. This 7-9 squad has the pieces but may not have the money to bring in more FA. This is where the draft is double important for them. However they have done well with this in the past and will be back for the wildcard in a few seasons. The Packers had quite the mess to fix after ownership change, but Rodgers needs to play at a higher level. The defense needs a piece or two, but once both sides of the ball start firing, it wont be question that this could be the team to compete for the division. |

The Falcons are in playoff bye position and will wait to see who they play first. This team is solid, however they switch up key offensive positions every year but still make them into complete stars. While Joey Bell is one ugly dude, he sure knows how to rocket a football and his team into championship position. The Panthers had another good year but not the year to win the division. I think bye now the team has the studs all over the field as well as the experience to make a playoff run. They know the opponents better and just need to make it happen, as Cam is getting desperate. The Bucs improved to 8-8 after having a great draft. This may have been the best draft in the NFC and put the team in the playoff hunt. With another draft like that as well as FA additions, this team could shock the division and the conference. The Saints really need to take their top draft pick and trade down for more picks. The team has so many holes, they cannot afford to just take one guy and expect overall change to happen. That pick could be easily flipped into 3 high picks allowing them to fill many positions on both sides of the ball. That is when the progress will come. |
MADDEN BOMBER LEAGUE
FOR THE RECORD!
As always, it is with much excitement, I am glad to bring you Madden Bomber League For The Record, Season 15 Edition. It’s a pretty crazy thought that we’ve been doing this for 15 seasons, and this will be our 12th FTR! I must say great job to all owners, media, and admins for another great season of growth for the MBL! Every owner makes this league special. We lost Taut this year, but I know our little brother will be back someday. And special congratulations to Tom on becoming an author at Sports Gamers Online in the #CFMMovement. Lets get to it!

The Patriots had a bad year last year but have done a complete turnaround. This team is on fire and only lost one game this year. They are going to have to keep playing tough to defend it next year, but they’re in position for a Super Bowl run for sure. This team no longer needs Tom Brady, that’s for sure. The Jets signed a top FA QB and drafted a great HB and line to go with it. I think if they just focus on the defense, they can win enough games to be a wildcard team next season. This ownership is confident in his plan and is sticking to it which is something that isn’t praised enough. Watch out, this division is about to get tough! A new owner this season and is learning the division and the conference. I believe that Taut left behind a good roster, and this new ownership learned enough through Grid that the Dolphins could also be a tough competitor next season. The question for this team will be what they do in the draft, and if they can make some big signings, it could rocket them to the top. |

The Kansas City Chiefs finished 3rd in the division this season in what may be the MBLs toughest division. Three teams will make the playoffs from this division and will likely play each other at some point for the third time. The Chiefs stuck to their guy Bortles, and after a tough start made a great season out of it. This is solid ownership and this team will be hot going into next season. Denver found their QB! And this guy is good. He completed nearly 70% of his passes and is leading for rookie of the year. This is a team that has a lot of great pieces and plays good offense, and it is only going to get better. This team however was 3-5 at home but 7-1 on the road. If they can lock down their home wins they could be looking at a BYE in the playoffs next season. The Chargers new owner DK did what people expected and won games. This team has a great young QB and he played lights out this season. No one will question where this team is going, and they are going to be really hard to unseat at the top of the division. This team will also be one of those teams with 10 wins ever year from here on out. Project Fat sits in a tough division but takes it head on. Although this team had a down year, they were operating with a very young offensive line and defense. I know that Fat can win the tough games as he’s downed Sonny twice, so I really expect this division to be crazy challenging next year. Don’t let us down. |

The Cleveland Browns came back from the dead last year, and then managed to die again somehow. But on the upside, they used some smart moves to grab rookies last year, develop them this year, and still have a top ten pick from the Packers. If history repeats itself, this team will make the playoffs next year, as they should. The Steelers had a good season coming off their Super Bowl run. This team in what will be Bens final year at QB locked up the 3rd seed in the playoffs behind a powerful offense. This team is going to have to learn how to play defense for next season as they will not have Ben to bail them out anymore, but should still be in the playoff hunt. The Ravens new owner has a positive attitude toward their future. Joe Flacco will be released and a new QB will take over. This team really is one guy one both sides of the ball away from making this division four strong. This will require smart signings and good drafting, but ownership definitely thinks they’ve got what it takes, and I do too. |

The Jaguars had a down year but similar to the Colts, have a lot of young pieces. They have a lot of studs on defense, but the offense needs to pick up the pace. If they settle on a QB and just commit to getting him NFL ready, they can be a team that plays tough defense and smart offense. This division has been won at around 10 game each season, so they will be in the hunt for sure. The Titans finally won an amount of games that people thought that they could. They have Marcus the keys and he drove them to the playoffs. This is also a team that has a tough defense, and now that the offense has figured it out, behind a very strong run game, we can be sure to see them come back strong to keep this division. The Texans got that QB that everyone wanted and it is working great for them. This is one of the best examples of building a team the MBL way we have ever seen. Slowly, but surely, through the draft and FA this team is on the rise. I would love to see this team make the playoffs, and I think they can give the Titans a run for their money at it next year. |

The Cowboys finished at 8-8 and just keep getting better. The roster keeps growing and young talent they bring in is getting stronger. This is a team to watch. It might be tough to take down the powerful Giants, but this team could certainly be a team to slip into a wildcard spot next year. This all depends on the play of their QB. The Eagles are still wondering about what to do with either QB play. But this guy is a stud and will work out for this team. They really need just one or two guys to make this team great and set them up for a championship run. This division is tough so they are going to have to figure it out soon. The Redskins fell down a bit this season but are working on retooling their offensive gameplan. We watched the young rookie QB last year take big steps, and this year he has some weapons around him learning the system. As previously stated, this team will have to play in a tough division but I think they will have a better season coming up. The Giants spent big in FA to bring in Teddy. Teddy was on pace to do crazy things stat wise but a busted ankle threw it all away. This team is set to at 3rd in the playoffs in the NFC but without Teddy the team is looking to offseason already to add a major piece to the puzzle. I don’t think anyone will take the division away from the Giants just yet. |

The 49ers brought in a lot of older players and struggled a bit on offense. On the plus side, this defense isn’t bad. If they can get the offense rolling with some younger talent, they can force offenses into tough situations and win a lot more games. I wouldn’t sleep on this owner at all in an already tough division. The Seahawks battled tough with the Rams and made the playoffs once again. This team was built to succeed and has a great defense. Cliff Avril set the MBL record at 20.5 sacks and is a leader of a dominate defense. On offense they are making it work with a lot of young skill players and of course Russel Wilson The Cardinals took some steps to make their offense better and now it is time to replenish a secondary that has not been strong this year. If they can add some big time pieces on defense, this team could start to win some games. There may be some questions on offense but there are young guys there who will fill those holes next season. The Rams had their young QB play great and lead them to ten wins this season. This team is built around a solid defense, the Drako defense, and can win games playing smart offense and running the ball. They have a lot of talent on this team and are playing with the big dogs, and are set for a nice playoff run this year and next. |

The Lions are still dominate as always but there are some interesting things to check out. They still have not lost a home game in four seasons, and have not lost a division game either. This team is a well-oiled machine behind multi-MVP-winning QB Matt Stafford. They have added a good WR to transition from Calvin as well. The Bears picked up a good QB in FA last year and will look in the draft to build a defense. They made some good signings last year and had a good draft, but this team needs to just put it all together. They have two mega stars at WR and are looking to come in strong next year. The Vikings are looking to make the playoffs for the first time. This team has slowly built and ownership should get credit for being patient. There are some financial issues with the Vikings but this owner is fighting through it and continuing to build. A playoff win would be huge for this team. The Packers are still making everyone wonder what is going on with Rodgers. This offense has a ton of weapons but it just isn’t clicking. They have had some great games vs tough opponents but just can’t pull out the win. If this team adds a couple stars and pulls it all together, they might be able to sneak into the playoffs. |

The Falcons had a crazy good offense this season with 2 WR passing 1000 yards. They have built a good roster and have a lot of talent. This team makes the playoffs every year it seems and they need to go back to glory. This team is built for right now. The Panthers had a crazy good year on offense as well. Cam Newton tossed 40 TDs and CJ Lawson ripped it up as usual. This team is just like the Falcons and they battle for the division each year. At some point the Panthers need to step up and win the division, and a championship. They were close last year and can do it this year. The Bucs had the offense to win but need to bring it together on defense. This upcoming draft has to be the start of a rebuild that has to be fast. To keep up with Falcons, Panthers, and the rest of the NFC. The defense is the thing that has to improve and that’s the bottom line. The Saints won three games this season and saw their rookie QB grow. This guy needs to get with Gordon in the offseason and get a plan to be elite next year. The offseason hard work will pay off for them but they have to put in the time. The defense has been better since last year, but still needs to improve. This is where FA and the draft are going to be HUGE for the Saints. |
Welcome to Draft Night! This blog is to get the juices flowing about the upcoming offseason and draft. This is where teams are built, and a lot of drafted players are making big impacts in MBL. MBL has always been a place to improve through the offseason, and primarily the draft. Listed here are teams in order and where they could look to improve their teams for the upcoming season! Good luck!
**Although this is a blog about team needs and the draft, remember that this is based off Daddy League information, in which overalls may be differgent than in game, and is simply a stat based theory on where teams should look at the draft**
**Skipped picks are held by another owner**
Round 1 Pick 1 - QB/CB
Houston Texans - Although Nick Foles was the starter for most of the season and threw 21 touchdowns, I do believe he is moving on from Houston. This team was 17th in passing this season, but with Foles gone can they keep it that way? The remaining QBs on the roster do not appear to have much as they didn't start this season. They selected a running back last season which only got them 26th yards per game. The Texans need to go ahead and take an absolute star at number one and stay committed to him for a whole year. While the offense was decent (with Foles, now possibly gone) the defense was at the bottom in every category. If the Texans want to win more games it needs to start with bringing in someone who can make plays down the field with Watts pass rush. Either way, QB or secondary for this team will help them in a divison that was won at 10 games.
Round 1 Pick 2 & 14 - QB
Chicago Bears - This team, unlike the previous, knows where it needs to go. The Bears need to select a high powered QB. This team only threw 10 touchdowns this season and averaged only 12 points per game. While stat wise on defense, their yards allowed wasn't horrible in comparison with the 27th ranked 24 points per game allowed. If we look at this team, it could be safe to say that poor QB play lead to turnovers creating a short field. If they can take a QB that can put up some more points and takes them out of bad field position, it could help the defense out big time. With their other pick they could take someone on defense to continue to build on that side of the ball.
Round 1 Pick 3 & 20 - WR
Jacksonville Jaguars - They had the worst points per game on offense at just 10. Thats one touchdown and one field goal. The offensive line isn't terrible and neither is the quarterback. The runningback is good as well. But they are lacking WR that can really get the job done. Allen Robinson is a good WR but a true star that can compliment him will be a huge improvement. If you look at the defense, it wasn't that bad at all. They barely were outside the top 20 in each category. This could be a breakout player that will change the game for Jacksonville. Two picks give them an interestion option at taking a stud at WR and defense depending on who is available.
Round 1 Pick 4 - DT / MLB
New Orleans Saints - The Saints actually had a pretty good year on defense. They were 29th in points and I know that sounds bad, but what is pretty good was their 12th ranked pass defense. What was the gaping hole was the rush defense at dead last at 96 yards per game. They've got to face a crazy good run game in Atlanta so this needs to be fixed right quick. If a Rush is available at 4 I would lock him up, but maybe even trade back to take some powerful guys in the middle to stop the run. Additionally, they had the worst run game on offense, but Arian Foster and Spiller wont cut it anymore. This team could look to take a HB but the offensive line may need work first.
Round 1 Pick 5 - OLine / QB
Minnesota Vikings - The Vikes have a defense that ranked lower than 30 in every category. If you look at their team you can see a lot of studs on that side of the ball. This may be a similiar situation to Chicago, in which they just need a better offense to help them out. The offense was ranked around 20 in every spot, but we saw 20 interceptions by Teddy. He may be gone, so its hard to tell right now. A QB that they could commit to if Teddy does leave would be the primary option at pick 6, but the offensive line needs a lot of work to get protection for him.
Round 1 Pick 6 & 28 - C / RT
Tennessee Titans - The Titans have a great defense. They have a lot of good players everywhere and it really seems like they know what they're doing scheme and gameplan wise. The offense was another story but I really see a simple fix on this side of the ball. The center and right tackle in this draft would fill a line very nicely, and they have two picks to do it. They have two picks in the first and this seems like a great fit. They're smart with their offseason moves so they could make this into a GREAT draft but those holes would really allow for their good backs to get rolling, and play to that great defense.
Round 1 Pick 7 - WR / CB
Arizona Cardinals - This team has a crazy good defense, and they don't even have a great CB other than Peterson. It seems that they have the offensive line, and the young HB, plus what looks to be a great future QB on offense. A stud on offense in the passing game could really help them out. The passing game was 32nd but they play incredible defenses like their own. The other option is to take another good corner back and set him up opposite Peterson and this defense really could take them places.
Round 1 Pick 8 - CB / OLB
Baltimore Ravens - This team just saw Suggs retire. They have a QB. They have a line. They have WR, and I think that Davis could get them through a season. But they have an aged Webb at CB and no one to fill in for Suggs. This is new ownership so we aren't really able to project what they will do strategy wise, but those are two huge needs right now. They played pretty well with Flacco to end the season but we aren't sure what the view on him is from ownership. We would like to see them stick it out with him but they have many directions they could go at pick 7.
Round 1 Pick 9 - SS / FS
San Diego Chargers - This is another team under new ownership, but not unfamiliar ownership. This team already has an incredible offense with a star QB, HB, TE, but would improve at WR. But they don't need it. They have an aging secondary that would cost them some games in the future. This ownership knows how to find defensive talent and will bring it to SD. At pick nine, we could see a CB or safety to come in and work along with JV to make this defense nasty.
Round 1 Pick 10 - WR
New York Jets - The Jets have a young QB. They just lost Brandon Marshall and will need to have someone step up in that role. It is a huge loss for leadership and a big body to help out a young QB. But if they step up their offensive line play, and get the ball rolling on the ground with their nice HB from last season, they could be headed in the right direction.
Round 1 Pick 11 & 32 - DT
Green Bay Packers - The Packers had a decent offense and have Rodgers. This is something that should make any owner feel good about their offenese. Another thing they should feel good about is having two first round picks. The Packers could really use someone at DT to fill in where an aging Raji just can't do it anymore. They have great linebackers and secondary people that can make up for the pass game, but being 23rd in rush defense can put the offense to sleep on the sideline.
Round 1 Pick 12 - CB / SS
Dallas Cowboys - Dallas will need some FA on offense here and there, but their defense is just a draft pick away from being really good. This team could take a CB or Safety to jump start the secondary. The rush defense was top ten, and the offense will come as the season goes on. A pass defense for this team could make them a big player in the NFC. It may not come right away but it will be a huge step in the right direction.
Round 1 Pick 13 - OLine
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - The Bucs have stars on the defense, young and in their prime, so they just need to play smart and they will have success. On offense, you have the QB, HB and WR, now its time t make sure the offensive line is good enough to establish a run and protect the QB. You've got crazy talent on defense in the division, so being weak at Oline isn't a risk to take with a young Qb.
Round 1 Pick 15 & 25 MLB / OLB
Miami Dolphins - The Dolphins clearly have the offense to make the playoffs. The defense was where this team has some issues but they have two picks in the first round. The entire linebacker group is older except one starter but none of them have much speed left at this point. If they could take these two picks and turn them into stars on defense, at any position, they could have a better playoff run next year.
Round 1 Pick 16 - CB
Cincinnati Bengals - This team had a top offense and doesn't really need anything on that side of the ball. Dalton is good enough to take them somewhere but the defense needs a face lift. They need a corner to play opposite Dennard, but once they have that they will have just about ever part of both sides of the ball to make a run to the Super Bowl. There are many things that this defense already does well, so taking someone who is just faster and more agile than Carr could change the game.
Round 1 Pick 17 OLine
Philadelphia Eagles - This team is weak at oline. They are litterally, weak. The right side of the line is weak and needs improved. They have good talent every where else on offense, but once they get some guys into the line that are studs, this team will be super scary. They already have a top defense that people miss because of their lack of offense. A trade for another pick to lock down this oline would be incredibly helpful.
Round 1 Pick 18 - QB
Denver Broncos - The Broncos are involved in the glorious hextuplet triple trade whatever that ended up with Mike Glennon. He was really good to start, and then was really bad, only to finish really good. He's really like that girlfriend that just drags you along for ages. Cut ties. Take a QB. The defense is still great, but needs a pass rush. Fix that in FA by taking a DT. Drafting a QB will be a smart direction to head with Prince DK and Project Fats defenses all attacking.
Round 1 Pick 19 - RE
Washington Redskins - This team is full of young talent. Full of it. And they have middle of the road numbers everywhere but the key is that they are so young. This team just needs a couple guys here and there, and nothing that they have to sell the future for. Another member to the Dline could help this team out big time and get a pass rush to try and combat the great QBs in this division.
Round 1 Pick 21 - RT / RG
Seattle Seahawks - This team is loaded just about everywhere. If they wanted to build defense, they could go MLB or CB but at this point they need to get more on the line to be able to run the ball. This team could easily run the ball and put other teams to sleep and play great defense like they already have. But this pick right here could make or break that, depending on what they get in FA.
Round 1 Pick 22 - OLB
Cleveland Browns - The Browns are a great offense. When Johnny plays well, he is an MVP canidate. On defense, they have a good pass rush and good corners but are starting to lack at linebacker. They are getting older and the team has already talked of cutting Kruger. This would bea great spot to pick an OLB to fill this gap. The Browns did a great job last season drafting young talent and will do so again this year.
Round 1 Pick 23 - LG / RT
Buffalo Bills - This team is well managed it seems but we've only caught a tiny part of it. The team just couldnt get it together in the playoffs but they seemed to be under pressure with Suh coming at them. If they can fix this offensive line then they could be dangerous. They have a powerful offense, but time in the pocket will be a huge part of where they can go.
Round 1 Pick 24 - WR
St Louis Rams - This team was last in passing but they lost their stud QB for a part of the season. They also play some great defenses in this division. If they can have their QB healthy and draft a good WR with raw talent to go along with the experienced guys, this offense could open up and be the best in the division. They alreaady have a good ground game, as long as their line stays together.
Round 1 Pick 26 - QB / WR
Kansas City Chiefs - They have expressed through the media that they are ready to move on from Alex Smith. They have one of the best run games in MBL but if they can snag a QB or WR to really make the offense pop then they will certainly be the Super Bowl favorites. Alex Smith has done well, so they don't really need the QB but could use the upgrade. A WR would also be a great addition to a top defense, along side Kelcie at TE.
Round 1 Pick 27 - TE
Atlanta Falcons - This team has a crazy good run game and defense. This is all they needed to go 15-1 so they have a lot of room to do whatever they want. But a TE could really open the offense up. They may need to go QB if Ryan can't come back, as Kaep showed he can't do it anymore. If Ryan does return, then a TE would be a huge compliment to a great ground game. And Julio Jones of course.
Round 1 Pick 29 - LB
Indianapolis Colts - They had a good defense but adding a young linebacker to a group that is all over 30 could be a the key to pushing into the playoffs and even the Super Bowl. This team plays well and the offense seems to be set with a balance run and pass game. The defense is good but just one pick could make them an incredible one. Top 10 in yards in passing on defense, but 15th on the ground. A fast LB at any spot could help lock that up.
Round 1 Pick 30
Carolina Panthers – The Panthers had a great year and are always a tough match up. They have a lot of great parts on both sides of the ball. They really have every position filled and could look at adding depth in a couple places. That depth could get them a better passing game or a better pass defense. If these two parts of the team get just a little better, this team could certainly move to the Super Bowl.
Round 1 Pick 31 – DT
Detroit Lions – The Lions had a great year on offense and Stafford can find a way to work with anyone. They have a good line, good WR/TE, and found great quality in their young HB. The offense is set. On defense, someone in the middle at either LB or DT that could help bring this defense a stud in the middle to help in the pass rush and run stopping would set the Lions up to continue the domination they’ve had every year.

The Patriots had the year of THE PICK in which they almost handed Taut a top draft pick. It didn't turn out as bad as it could have as they really pulled it together to end the year. At 8-8 in Jimmy Gs first year, this team is going to be incredibly scary next season. The Jets are going through a transition it seems. The secondary was loaded a few years ago but as time as gone on so have their abilities. This team is going to have to rebuild that secondary to make an attempt at the division. They did however add an impressive run game this year and will look to build on that. TAUT THE KILLER has made the playoffs and is gathering massive support for his playoff run. He will have to face the Bills in the first round but he is familiar with this owner and the team. Everyone wants Taut to make it, as this whole division will be a tough one next years. |

The Kansas City Cheifs went wild this season only losing to the 9-7 Redskins and the first round bye playoff teams Steelers and Giants. This team is playing very well and has everything they need to win a championship this season. There isn't a lot of places they need to improve on but this team is certainly top of this division and will be for a while. Denver had a tough season. This comes after Glennon had a rough start but the Broncos aren't sure about his future. They want a QB in the draft but may not get one, but also saw Glennon play well at seasons end. This could lead to another bad season next year but they are with him everyday and know him. They also spent a pick in a trade for him, so there is some attachment there. The Chargers had a pass defense that anyone could have scored on. The fact that they won games before DK took over is pretty surprising. But now that DK is back and in as the owner as the Chargers this division is getting extremely competetive, and will battle with the AFC North for the top division in the conference. Everyones favorite and lovable owner, Project Fat made some improvements. This team is coming along well and after spending a high pick on a corner, they may be able to swing some things this year to make it an even better roster. The only down side is that Prince, Backley, and DK are all tough owners, so this division will be very challenging. |

The Cleveland Browns came back from the dead and shot to the top of the AFC for most of the season. They have some impressive young guys that are developing well that locked up a wild card spot for this crew. Every part of this team is playing well and they are looking to get a playoff win this year. The Steelers had a great season. 40 TD passes by Ben led them to 14-2 record. They have rookies on defense that have made them better but stil have many holes to fill. As young as they are in some places they are very old in others which will need switched up. The Ravens had a bummer season but have now changed ownership. The new owner says theres a lot of pieces that they like and it will be exciting to build in this tough division. The future of Flacco seems to be okay as of now as well. |

The Jaguars had some owner mix up over the last two seasons but JY has been working hard to make the Jaguars better. The offseason will be a huge thing for this team. They are not far off as they had a close one with the Browns recently. The Titans still confuse a lot of people but are working hard to make it to the top of the divsiion. This team has some good parts but will look to add to it this draft. A lot of people are wondering what will happen with Marriota this coming offseason, and if he could hit the market. The Texans made some questionable choices at QB in this last draft. There were many guys there and they never really showed full committment to one guy. This team may have to go back to QB but should look at other areas as well. |

The Cowboys had a down year but will change that in the future. They have a tough division to go against but have shown that they can keep up with these teams and split with them. This offseason will be huge for them though. The Eagles had a great year last year but had some QB issues this year. This team still won games but not enough to get into the playoffs. This team has some question and QB and HC but has not given any evidence on which way they will go. Either way they will still be a tough team in a tough division. The Redskins went wild this draft and took a lot of great young talent. A similar offseason to the Browns, this team has a lot of interesting pieces moving forward. I would look for them to give everyone in this division headaches as their guys are very young. Ryan Nassib went from a big question mark to being the man in New York. This guy came in blazing and fired the Giants to a first round bye. They also found a stud TE that has been huge in helping Nassib develop. This team has a ton of stars everywhere now and is a huge favorite to make the Super Bowl. |

The 49ers started out HOT and then fell off to miss the playoffs. We arent sure what is going on out there as they had Brees and a rookie and weren't sure on which way to go. Brees will most likely be gone this next season and will allow the rookie to really be who is is. This is a team who had a top three rush defense all season as well. The Seahawks did what they do best and had our second tie of this Madden. This team loves winning but if they can squeeze a tie in there, they're going to do it. This is a nasty division with harsh defenses and this Seattle team proved that it can hang tough and still make the playoffs. The Cardinals really need to look at improving their offense this off season. They have low numbers in scoring and in the redzone. This is hard to do against normal team but the freakish defenses of this division, they will need some really good stars to do so. The Rams were once again a team with a crazy good defense. This defense helped them in winning the division and giving them a playoff match up which is something ownership is very proud of. This team certainly has the defense to take it all the way, with stars all over the place. |

The Lions have only lost 4 games in three seasons. They also have a tie that Im sure JBastin is jealous of, but this team is crazy good. Stafford has been the MVP every year and has the attitude to go with it. This team also led the league in interceptions on defense. The Bears missed out on a QB last year and are wondering who the guy will be next. There are guys in FA that have value but also, they have a top pick that they could use to get a QB or trade back and take a QB and another star. This team really has a few good pieces that justt need to bring it all together with a super star. The Vikings played their final season with AP and possibly Teddy. This will make Teddy the biggest FA stud this year. But the Bears could take that pick. This teams defense is good and just needs to put up some more points in order to win more games. The Packers fell back from their best season but have a decision to make. They arent too sure about Rodgers but don't really have anyone to go forward with. This team needs to just buy into their QB and defense, and play football. Another star on defense or offense could open this team up to playoff potential. |

The Falcons dominated this year. They have already taken home a ring and look to do so again this year. They stomped most of their competition but also won the tough ones. This team has the mindset to take it all the way behind a powerful offense. The Panthers make the playoffs again but will have to facea tough Rams defense. This team has just about everything you need to make a run, and even beating the Lions in the regular season. That'll be tough to do but they have to make it out of STL first. The Bucs changed ownership but this team has an early pick and will look to add some stars this offseason. This owner has the goal of making this divison harder to win for the Falcons and Panthers. The Saints didn't get just one win, but they were able to win three games this year. Its a big step in rebuilding this franchise. The next big step for this team is THEY HAVE TO GET A QB, and they have to win a road game, and a division game. This is a tough division so figuring out these guys is going to be essential to getting more wins. |

The Patriots pulled some rabbits out of their hat this season with two wins against the Bills and a perfect 6-0 division record. While they won the division and made the playoffs it wasn't quite enough. They were largely led by a good run game and good defense. Staff will wait and see what happens with Brady this offseason. In year two of Pettys career the offense could only be 28th in scoring. The turnovers hurt this team but if they can fix those in the upcoming offseason and next season, they can be a new force in the division. Their pass defense was ranked 2nd which could be a backbone to their success next season. The Dolphins had a whole lot of offense and not a lot of wins. The Dolphins ranked in the top 10 in every offensive category, but were also the only team to be ranked 30th or worse defensively in every category. This team is going to have to have major fixes on defense if they want to compete in this division. |

The Kansas City Cheifs fell off this season as ownership was replaced. This team was right down the middle in most stats around the league. As predicted RG3 didn't last long and only played a few snaps for the Chiefs. A solid run game and defense will be their keys to next season. The Broncos! Everyones favorite team! They took off and did some great things this season. After a miserable learning season they made a huge turn and were the top seed in the AFC. Most Impoved Owner and for good reason. There isn't a lot this team can do better other than to execute in playoffs next year. The Chargers also changed ownership giving them an unclear future. They have a very high draft pick which could lead to some talent and make this division much tougher. At the same time the Raiders and Chiefs are looking to catch Denver as well. The Raiders had a huge turnover issue but managed to go 8-8. This was just shy of missing playoffs in which everyone went 10-6 but this team has greatly improved since season one. If they can get some pass defense to go with their run defense and turn the ball over less, they could be a big player next season. |

The Cleveland Browns just shit. the. bed. and it all went down hill after a huge loss to the Dolphins (Never Forget) This team still gave teams in its division fits and is apparently retooling and will be back next year. They have a good offense but may have a defense that can compete with Miamis. The Steelers had a playoff game vs Buffalo week 17 and just couldn't get it done. On defense they need a few more contributors to pull out some close games. On offense the turnovers were cut back big time but there was no consistancy. They need to figure out a gameplan and believe in it to succeed next season. The Ravens had another great season but were also stumped by the Colts. This team scored the 5th most points but had average run and pass attacks. On defense they couldn't be ran on but gave up big gains through the air which is something they'll look to improve next season. |

The Jaguars also had some ownership change and will look to add to their young talent as well. This teams offensive production is extremely low and needs to find a spark in order to compete for the division. The Titans started out rough but ended up making a late push for the division. This may have been the season in which things were figured out and next year could be the year especially with a defense that was top 10. If the offense comes around it could be a great team. The Texans still have a lot of the holes we talked about on draft night. But with an early pick maybe they can fill some holes and begin to compete in this division. Defense all ranks below 25th overall and that is a major concern for this team moving forward. |

The Cowboys also had some ownership change but managed to still be 9-7. There are high hopes for this team as they had some success with previous ownership so the pieces are there. This division shifted between last year and this so it seems anyone can win it as all owners have great edges that set them apart. The Eagles have our Owner of the Year taking the Eagles to the NFC championship. This team does very well on the road so if they can lock things down at home this team can become even more dangerous. A top defense leads this team and they don't seem to be slowing down any time soon. The Redskins found a new owner as well and there is some retooling going on in Washington. This is a tough division so finding the pieces and finding them fast is going to be critical to success in this division. The Giants had a great year but it just wasn't enough at the end with everyone in the NFC being 10-6. This team lost their QB from last year but found magic in Nassib. This team believes in him and thinks he can lead them to the playoffs next season. |

The NFC West had another great year. The 49ers came in at 10-6 but were pretty even everywhere. 3-3 in division and 6-6 in conference. They have a team that can do some good things so winning the conference games will be a huge part for them to get in and win it next season. The Seahawks did well again this season at 11-5. This team arguably had the best defense and is going to have it for a long time. This team just needs to take care of the ball on offense and they will have huge success next season. The Cardinals has some mix up at QB with an injury to their rookie. They are another team with almost no offensive production but with a high draft pick may be able to turn that around. They also need to figure somethings out on defense but when they do it could be a great season for them. The Rams were another team with great defense. A top 3 defense that allowed the fewest points per game. This team made a big step towards the Super Bowl and will look to make some offensive changes to go along with the defense. Once that happens this could be a scary team. |

The Lions had another great season at 13-2-1. Stafford was once again MVP and had a spectacular season. There really isn't much you can say about a team who is 29-2-1 over two seasons. They are currently sitting in the NFC championship game and look to make the Super Bowl. The Bears had a struggling season but may be looking to the future. Without being sure of Cutlers future there could be a new QB coming to Chicago. There may be financial issues to figure out but this team needs major help on defense if they can keep Cutler around for a few more years. The Vikings had a great season until the tie against the Lions. That win could have helped push them into playoffs. This is a sold team with a top 10 defense. If they can turn the ball over less they will be a force for the Lions to watch out for next year. The Packers hada better season at 9-7 but it just wasn't enough. They have built off last season and will look to make moves this offseason to improve a good team and make it to the playoffs. They need to get just a little better in a few areas stat wise and will be there. |

The NFC South was led by the Falcons in a come from behind fasion in which everyone counted themout. This team is great at home and on the road an within the conference. This team will not give up and will find a way to make the playoffs behind a great rushing attack. The Panthers just fell short of grabbng the division for a second year in a row. Just like the Falcons they have a great record in every category and were led by Cam Newtons amazing passing game. Just a field goal short of getting to the NFC championship but this team will fight and be back next year. The Bucs started out horrible but really found a great groove behind Winston to end the season at 10-6. With the Falcons and Panthers dominating we didn't think there was much room for another team to come in but they did and did well. This team finished in a mess of tie breakers for playoffs but just fell short. The Saints had another rought season with a defense that just has not star power. They need to draft a defensive stud 1st overall this season to reduce the 32nd ranked points they put up this season. But still at 0-16 the defense was better than Miamis. this team needs to take some defensive approaches to the offseason and they will begin to win some games. |
MADDEN BOMBER LEAGUE
FOR THE RECORD!
We are back with the first season in the books! It was an exciting season as we had our first ever 16-0 team by the Detroit Lions! Congrats to everyone who made the playoffs and won their divisions this season, and to those who didn't make it, keep your head up and make some good moves and come back next year.
This year we are going to try to keep track of a litte more than just franchise record. This will include home and road record to see who just can't play outside their own fence, as well as who dominates the divisions and conferences.
Good luck this offseason and next season! Enjoy.

The Patriots threw two QBs often this season and finally figured things out and made a playoffs bush. This team is going to push the Bills next year as they now know what styles fit them. They already good pieces in places and with a good offseason can make playoffs next year. The Jets won 8 gamees behind Petty and look to make this division even tougher next season. With a years experience beind them, this team led by a young QB is looking to do great things while their defense still has top players. The Dolphins had a lot of questions heading into this season and even only winning five games have put themselves in position to get a top college prospect. This could mean even more wins in a division in which three teams are already .500 or better. |

The Kansas City Cheifs surprised a lot of people and took off this season. They had a lot of sucesss and even brought RG3 back to life. This team made it to the playoffs but needs to be careful, as the teams in their divsion will not be as far behind next season. The Broncos got out to a rocky start as Peyton Manning just did not have his usual stuff and was benched after multiple trades that ended with Glennon being the starter. But things did turn around and they finished with some big wins and learned alot about the season. The Chargers did a lot of good things on offense, and if their turnovers drop a little they make a serious playoff contender. They lost a lot of close games which means this team is just as close as being in the playoffs hunt as anyone. This division also saw struggles from Carr's Raiders but there was much improvement here throughout the season as well and will be a scary team in the future. |

The Cleveland Browns made the playoffs and even won a playoff game. There are some serious questions at some positions for this team, but there have been reports of major confidence in Johnny Football, no matter what happens week to week. The Steelers finished 9-7 in a season that had a lot of turnovers and not a lot of defense. There is going to have to be major improvements to the defense if this team wants to win more than nine games. The Ravens played very tough and were in just about every game and finished 8-8. This is a squad that will be a major contender in the next few seasons with a few more pieces this offseason. This division could really mix up a lot over the next few seasons. |

The Jaguars were a surprise to some as they have so much young talent but it wasn't sure if that would pay off right away. It certainly did as the Jags made the playoffs and were a force for most of the season. This team will be solid for a long time. The Titans with their rookie QB had some struggles but it is expected with a young QB. They also have many young guys that will look to grow over the next few years and this team will rival the Colts and Jags for years to come. The Texans at 3-13 are in a good position to pick up a good QB that can lead them to the playoffs. This will give this entire division solid young QBs which could make it scary. They went 0-8 on the road which is something I hear they're looking to change. |

The Cowboys are back to glory and in the playoffs. This team has that great offensive line and is working on their defense, and as long as they keep the mistakes low on offense, will be at the top for a while. The Eagles had some struggles but are still trying to fill their team out the exact way they want. At 8-8 this is the team that will rival the Cowboys for the next few seasons. The good news is that they have many weapons on offense for a long time to come. The Redskins won six games, but only one of them came on the road. This is something that will next fixed if they hope to make playoffs and is essential to winning in playoffs. But Cousins has looked good and its unsure if they will go QB in the draft. The Giants fell to the bottom but this is the owner who found HOFer Gresham, and with a high draft pick will be sure to light the filed on fire with some top talents in the draft. This is the team that could struggle next year or two, but after that be a really dominate team and shut down the rest of the division. |

The NFC West has a lot of great talent. This year it was won by the 49ers who put together a solid season despite the critism from across the league. But they're going to have to make sure they win the offseason with the Seahawks close behind. The Seahawks seemed to be up and down a bit this season but managed to find their way to the playoffs for a third game against the 49ers. This match up will happen a lot in the future as both teams are good and managed even better. The Cardinals had a good season and just fell short of a .500 season. There are places they can improve but they still have a lot of good pieces on defense that can help lead the way. They're going to have to find some way to produce on offense in this divison. The Rams were one of the teams other than the Chargers that everyone felt was much tougher than their record showed. This is a team that could make some sneaky offseason moves and put themselves at the top of the divisoion, but winning more games in the conference will be a key to getting there. |

Madden Bomber League saw its first ever 16-0 team in which they dominated at home, on the road, their division and the conference. But they shouldn't get too comfortable as some close wins could change this. Stafford winning MVP doesn't sound like the Lions will give up first place easy though. The Bears had a lot of issues with Cutler. It seems as if he is there one week and gone the next. There may be a new QB in their future but with Jeffrey and Forte, they should have the offense to help support a young QB. The Vikings season had a bunch of issues like PEDs but they figured a lot out a long the way. This is a team to keep your eye on as they took the Lions to OT. At some point they are going to put it all together and take the divison when the Lions least expect it. The Packers had a lot of issues, and going 1-5 in the division is a tough start for these guys. Although they're very confident that they have all the pieces, this means they may just be loading up for an explosive season next year. |

The NFC South was led by the Falcons in which Ryan and Coleman led an offense that you just couldn't stop along with great defense. But they only won the divison by one game, so they must stay on top of the draft and free agency to stay ahead of the Panthers. The Panthers just fell short of grabbng the division, even though they had a better division and conference record. Tiny adjustments for next season will put this team over the top and give the Falcons a headache all year long. The Bucs did some nice thing but with a young QB they have to keep grinding to make the offense more effective. This team has really changed their offense over the last few years, so maybe this offseason will have a defensive overhaul and we can see them make a push to the playoffs. The Saints were not set up at all as before the season their best player was traded leaving Brees with not a lot to work with at any position. Ownership will most likely look at QB in the draft to begin to turn these things around, but there are many hole to fill. Dedicated ownership will turn this franchise arond for sure. |
Many seasons ago, before becoming a GM & Owner, Mr. Ripper came into the league and joined the staff of the Washington Redskins to finish out a dismal season. They finished 6-10 but Mr. Ripper took over about half way through the season. The next season changed it all as the Redskins went 12-4 but were knocked out in the playoffs.
"There just wasn't a whole lot of time to make all the adjustments to make a run that year, and other oppurtunities presented themselves so we had to leave the Skins earlier than planned."
The next project was taking over a Bears franchise that had an awful defense. The rebuild took all eight seasons and the defense never really moved up other than in the final season. The offense was always fast paced and scored in the top three every season. Despite putting up over 90 wins in eight seasons, and making two NFC championships, the Bears never took the trophy home.
"It sucked. We had a really great offense every year but the defense never came together. It was quite a good squad but sometimes the best players don't always result in championships. We did however learn a lot about the game and our opponents and will take that information to Pittsburgh where we have a similar situation. It is a chance to fo things right this time, and not make the same mistakes we did in Chicago."
The owner did bring with him one piece that they did not have when they started in Chicago. After tearing his shoulder lebrum in the last season, Trent Redmond decided he didn't want to play under any other owner and retired after only six seasons.
"I tore my shoulder and just wasn't throwing 100% anymore. I built a good relationship with the Ripper family and wanted to start my career in coaching. This chance to learn from Big Ben and that offense is going to help my career, so I took the chance and retired."
"We have plans right now that someday Redmond will be the offensive coordinator, but for now he's going to sit back and learn coaching before he gets handed any official title."
The Steelers have been going through training camp and have had many things stand out. Not all of these things are positive but there are some bright spots they're excited about.
"Bud Dupree has played really well in practice so far and scrimmages, and we are excited to have him and Shazier work together for a long time. The rest of the defense is going to need leadership and we hope those two bring young fire to drive everyone else." -Mike Tomlin
"We've also had really good contribution from the newly aquired Boykin. It's a huge difference having him and no one is really going to expect him to do things that he can do." -Mike Tomlin
"Ben, Antonio Brown, Bell, all have been amazing. We have to figure out how to use them that fits their play style, but we're going to get there. It's going to be very exciting." -Mike Tomlin
The new owner Mr. Ripper is excited to be home with his lifelong favorite team. This city has a strong bond with its team and is looking forward to having someone who cares a lot about the team for more than just profit.
"Ive been a Steeler fan my entire life, and I am now thankful for getting to make first time mistakes in Chicago. I woudn't want to make those same errors in Pittsburgh, because they'll hurt more knowing I let my hometown down. I can't wait to get started with this group and see where we can go." -Mr. Ripper
The season kicks off as soon as EA gets their ass in gear and puts out a patch, which could be anytime from next Tuesday till August 25th, 2016. We could be here a while, but we are continueing to learn this team in hopes of bringing another title to Pittsburgh.
Hello owners! It is finally time for our last For The Record which we find each franchices overall record since the first season of this Madden. This year we went through 8 seasons creating a ton of different scenarios. Rivals and friends were made, but at the end of the day we all made the MBL experience so much better. The Admins would like to thank you for your participation and activity in the league and we can't wait to start another journey through a brand new Madden next week.
The Bears started out hot as usual and found that late season collapse as usual as well. The Lions trailed the Bears all season but after starting 2-4 ended up entering playoffs at 11-5. The Packers fell off this season but still was at least .500. The Vikings tried their best, and participation achievment is the standard for the Vikes. This division achieved the highest number of wins but the AFC West too close to call who is the best division.
NFC NORTH
Bears 93-34-1
Lions 86-40-2
Packers 80-47-1
Vikings 56-71-1
315-192-5
After poking fun at the NFC East for the division leader being 3-5, the AFC North saw no one go over .500 this season. The Bengals and Browns tied at 7-9 with the Steelers right behind with 6 wins. This division sits right around .500 for wins and losses but the Steelers Browns and Bengals are all very close to each other.
AFC NORTH
Browns 74-54
Bengals 71-57
Steelers 69-58-1
Ravens 36-92
250-261-1
Arguably the best with three rings, AFC West send three teams to the playoffs. They, just like the NFC North have three teams very close in total wins. As stated in the introduction of this blog, rivals and friends were made. And we can all agree that Freddy & Backley have created a friendship to last for Maddens to come. All three totalling over 75 wins are thankful this is the last season, as JMoons Raiders started to come on very hot as he took over.
AFC WEST
Chiefs 87-41
Chargers 79-49
Broncos 77-50-1
Raiders 64-63-1
307-203-2
The Jets blew everyone away with a 13-3 record this season, and was so impressive they had the Dolphins convinved it wasn't possible. Dominate defense and aggressive offense paved the way to a late Madden push by the Jets. Yet another division where good rivals were created and it will be exciting to see next Madden where they end up.
AFC EAST
Dolphins 69-59
Jets 63-65
Bills 48-80
Patriots 45-82-1
225-286-1
The 49ers and Cardinals have dominated this division for a long time. No one is tougher than these two with great defenses and smart offense. The 49ers put together over 90 wins and were in the playoffs almost every year. Mac and his Cards have been solid for not just this madden but previous as well, and is expected to make a great team wherever he goes.
NFC WEST
49ers 94-34
Cardinals 73-55
Seahawks 60-68
Rams 47-81
274-238
The Saints have dominated this entire division ever since Day 1. But this is a combination of many, many owners, so don't get your pants wet DK. Although very impressive the Saints have won this division, every single season I believe. Stat check that. This final season saw the Panthers make an impressive push all the way to week 17. Although they lost, it was a great season and they should be proud.
NFC SOUTH
Saints 96-32
Panthers 57-71
Falcons 40-87-1
Bucs 36-92
229-282-1
After starting out 0 for a lot, the Giants made a late season push and caused the Skins to panic and spin the wheels. They couldn't hold their division down and ended up collapsing to an ugly 6-10. But next madden the squid squad will prevail! The Giants put up an impressive 90 wins as well as other teams across MBL.
NFC EAST
Giants 90-38
Skins 71-57
Eagles 41-87
Cowboys 20-108
222-290
The Texans showed off their impressive offense this season taking this division for a final time. The Titans had some early struggles but only fell short by two games. All the owners in this division created great gameplay and fun interaction for the entire league. This is a special division that will hopefully be recreated in some way next Madden.
AFC SOUTH
Colts 64-64
Jags 56-72
Titans 52-76
Texans 50-78

First off I would like to thank everyone for their participation. I began asking people about their teams and in less than 20 hours I had every owners picks. I'm sure this is full of smoke screens and possibly and error or two, but I think that it is something that can make team selection a little more interesting. As we go through our final season of Madden 15, we begin the search for the perfect team for Madden 16. This process involves the selection of ownership order based on a variety of information, the painful process of waiting for all the ratings to be released, and finally selecting the perfect team. I decided to take the time to ask each owner their Top Three teams that they would take for Madden 16. This information has NO IMPACT on team selection or order and is just for a fun blog to help us get through. Information was pulled from all 32 owners of Madden Bomber League. This is the next to last blog of For the Record in this format. We will have this following season 11 and that will complete this series. For next year, we will do a more in depth look at each franchice, splitting it up based on each owner so that we will know the current owner as well as the over all franchices total recrods. We will also go into division records as well as playoff appearances and records. Enjoy.
The NFC North FINALLY had the Vikings make the playoffs this season! They put the Lions, Bears, and Vikings into the playoffs and continue to be the most dominate division by the numbers. The Bears and Lions continue to be top teams while the Packers and Vikings are trading places as the season progressed. In the end, APPRECIATION HOUR PREVAILED!

Lions 75-35-2
Packers 72-39-1
Vikings 45-66-1

In the AFC North, the Bengals were hot this season and played very good football throughout. The Steelers and Browns fell off missing the playoffs but have the pieces to make one final run. The Ravens have used their number one overall pick to pick a dominate wide receiver who they hope will take them to the playoffs this season.

The AFC West was led by the Chiefs Chargers and Broncos each battling for that top spot. In the end it was the Broncos taking home the ring after making the super bowl for a second time in two years. The Chargers were a low end team just a few seasons ago and now they are pushing the playoff teams to the max each season.

The Jets couldn’t bring the title back home for a third straight year, as the Dolphins took it this season. These two teams have battled each season and are looking forward to another division show down this upcoming season. This division came down to the Cardinals, 49ers, and Seahawks tied at 9-7 so there doesn’t seem to be much room between any of them. This is a division that someone could step up big in the final season and march into the playoffs.
NFC WEST

Cardinals 62-50
Seahawks 57-55
Rams 39-73

The NFC South didn’t have anyone with a winning record till halfway through the season when the Saints finally stepped up and barely won the division. They will be back strong next season, but the Panthers were close this year and are looking to come back strong this coming season. The Bucs and Falcons are looking to make a surprise jump to the top after a strong draft.
NFC SOUTH
Saints 83-29
Panthers 47-65
Bucs 32-80
Falcons 33-78-1

The Giants had a productive season and had another massive free agency. This team is going to be insanely good next season. The Squid Squad President Redskins Owner will look to take down the Giants and burst back onto the playoff scene. The Eagles and Cowboys are putting together good offseason’s which could mean some tougher games for the top dogs.

Taut will fill you in on everything Jags and with that comes the occasional mention of the other teams in this division. Taut just loves to talk about his Jags and is dying for a playoff appearance. But the Titans have come on strong lately and are looking to smash Tauts hopes again!

Another season is in the books! As the playoffs finish up and everyone is excited for the offseason, MBL would like to thank every owner for their participation and dedication to the league. You guys each bring something special that isn't seen in many leagues, and we like to thank you for everything you do for the league. We are about to witness the Free Agency of Gresham, and we were introduced to the greatest podcast ever, 4Verts, thanks to Sonny Weaver and Taut! Good luck to everyone in offseason and upcoming seasons.

The North is once again the top division after this past season, but they are losing ground to the AFC WEST! We saw the Bears and Lions take charge at 12-4 this season while the Packers suffer a Super Bowl hang over at 8-8. The Greshams in their final season didn't go 0-16 but they will continue to fight and improve.
NFC NORTH
Bears 68-28
Packers 62-33-1
Lions 62-33-1
Vikings 34-61-1

In the past the Browns and Bengals battled for this division but the Steelers came out of no where and won the division. The Browns still have an incredible defense and the Bengals hold on to Sonny Weaver so this division will stay close as more seasons go in the books. The Ravens had a slow season but are determined to improve in the draft and battle for the North.
AFC NORTH
Browns 60-36
Steelers 54-41-1
Bengals 52-44
Ravens 34-62

The AFC West is making a very impressive surge to become the best division as we finish out this Madden, only a few games behind the NFC North now. Coke and titties took down the Chiefs this season, but they still sit on top. The Broncos are still having success are are looking to avoid another one and done season. The most impressive team is the Chargers as they went from the bottom to just short of leading the division. They have built very nicely and proved this season they could win even without Vasty Vereen. The new owner ship in Oakland is impressive as well as the Raiders see a .500 season for the first time in a while. Ownership is making the right moves and this will be a team to watch in the future.
AFC WEST
Chiefs 61-35
Broncos 57-38-1
Chargers 54-42
221-161-2
The Jets once again come out of the East as division champions and gave the Browns a hell of a game in the playoffs. The past two seasons from the Jets have shown what sticking with a team till the end can bring as back to back champions of the East. The Dolphins new ownership is already working hard on winning the offseason and looking to give the Jets a run. The Bills have an impressive defense but need some offensive weapons to make this team really dangerous. Patriots suffered a slow season due to change of ownership, but new ownership again this offseason will bring new competition to the league.
AFC EAST
Dolphins 53-43
Bills 45-51
Jets 43-53
Patriots 35-60-1
176-207-1
The Niners still hold the power in this division as they have through out. The Cardinals though made a hard push for the playoffs and are still a force in the NFC. Seattle saw the retirment of long time owner PMoney and as new ownership figures things out, this team could be dangerous to San Fran. The Rams are still building after previous years of poor ownership, but this owner shows hope and promise to give the rest of the division a run.
NFC WEST
49ers 72-24
Cardinals 55-41
Seahawks 48-48
Rams 30-66
205-179
The Saints were dominating the divison again this season, but Jackie Moon with the Panthers are expecting an even more elite defense next season. This could be the team to take down the Saints which will be fun to keep an eye on. The Bucs had another season that leaves the offseason a place they need to win but they came way with some impressive wins again this season. New ownership after the alien abduction of Chaos in Atlanta brought more wins this season than many previous seasons combined. The Falcons are a team that could give this division a SHAKE up, so we will keep an eye on that.
NFC SOUTH
Saints 74-22
Panthers 42-54
Bucs 30-66
Falcons 28-67-1
174-209-1
If you're looking for total confusion or a case of "no one wants to go first" this is the division to watch. Three teams went 10-6 leaving everyone wondering who was going to be champ as the season came to an end. The Skins Eagles and Giants all had good seasons and are excited to come back next season and win. The Cowboys saw improvement again, but previous ownership left current owner Botz in a hole. His determination and willlingness to never give up is something respected across the league and each season brings new pieces to his plan.
NFC EAST
Giants 68-28
Skins 54-42
Eagles 35-61
Cowboys 14-82
171-213
In a divison in which a team almost won at 7-9 until Oktoba and the Texans stepped up in a huge week 17 win to take the division. The Titans have a great offensee with Means while the Jaguars are always one of the best teams to watch in MBL. As the Texans Jags and Titans each creep up on the Colts, we could see a new division leader before this Madden ends. This is something to keep an eye on and everyone always need to have their popcorn ready as these owners certainly bring a very special and much appreciated kind of ownership to MBL.
AFC SOUTH
Colts 52-44
Jags 40-56
Titans 34-62

Playoffs are not yet finished but congrats to all teams for completing another great season. Thank you to all owners for your participation, hard work, and dedication to making this the best league any of us know. Those who feel your team is in trouble, APV and Ballerz provide what this league is all about. Patience and the spirit to rebuild. It has paid off for them and they look to continue next season. There is always hope. For those who had a high number of wins, watch out because anyone can win any game, any division, any championship at anytime. Good luck in the future to everyone, and we hope you continue to enjoy Madden Bomber League. Now lets look at each team by division.
The NFC North once again had a ten win team outside of the playoffs. This continues to be a division in which you must win 12 games in order to reach playoffs safely. The Bears and Packers dominated this season both going 14-2 with only 1 division game standing between them making the difference between a first round bye and a 14-2 wild card. The Lions had an outstanding season at 11-5 and just missed the playoffs. The Vikings fell of a bit but smart moves this coming offseason will certainly put them back in the ten win range. Keep an eye on this division as the top three teams are all within a few games of each other.

The AFC North put two teams in the playoffs and it came down to a week 17 game that determined the division winner and once again, a ten win wild card team. The Steelers also battled back and were up for a playoff spot in the final two weeks, which is impresive considering the hole previous owners dug for them. The Ravens fought hard even taking the Bengals to overtime, but their rebuild is in progress and watch for them to mix up the North very soon.

Browns 49-31
Steelers 42-37-1
Bengals 42-38
Ravens 33-47

The AFC West had it's dominate Chiefs and Broncos battle like usual. Both teams made the playoffs again and are continuing to dominate thid division. They can't rest easy because the Chargers have done an incrediable job rebuilding and going over .500 this season. They are extremely close and look to be a playoff team next season. The Raiders had some struggles but new ownership is taking things in a good direction. This is still a division that is tough and fights hard every week.

Chiefs 55-25
Broncos 44-35-1
Raiders 41-38-1
Chargers 41-39

The AFC East saw a new winnter this season. The Jets took the division but it wasn't one sided. The Dolphins had a chance to lock it up in the final week but fell short. Despite that, they have found good young talent and when their QB gets healthy other teams should watch out. The Patriots now have one season with Bortles and are looking to keep building to make their way into playoffs. The Bills had a frustrating season, but while this ownership record looks poor, a VERY tough defense hides behind it. This team is very close to being a playoff team.
AFC EAST
Dolphins 48-32
Bills 40-40
Jets 33-47
Patriots 31-48-1
152-167-1
The NFC West had the usual 49ers and Seahawks battling it out, and both teams are tough as nails. They will both be in the playoff race once again next season. The Cardinals fell off a bit this season, but trading back in the draft last year opens the door for new young talent this draft. Watch for them to be around ten wins next season for sure. The Rams came into a rough situation and are working out the talent and were in many close games. This division fight will be ugly next season as all four teams will be loaded.
NFC WEST
49ers 58-22
Cardinals 45-35
Seahawks 43-37
Rams 22-58
168-152
The NFC South is led by the Saints again. New ownership here continues to make this team tough and always a contender. The Panthers have a real defense, and once the offense gets going this team could battle for division. The Bucs saw 7 wins and had a good season, and smart salary choices by owner despite the market make them a team that could suprise a lot of people next season. The Falcons have new ownership, based on previous ownership running things who operated on two wheels instead of the tradiational four. New ownership is sure to give the Saints a run for their division title.
NFC SOUTH
Saints 60-20
Panthers 36-44
Bucs 26-54
Falcons 22-58
144-176
The NFC East gave us the Eagles and Giants in the playoffs and both teams are ready to fight for a championship. These two teams are very tough and will battle for the division for years to come. The Eagles should be proud of having their first winning season this year. The Skins fell back a bit but came into a situation in which they need some pieces to be a top team. No doubt they will figure it out and give the Giants and Eagles a tough time next year. This division holds the worst situation of ownership history in the Cowboys. Many previous owners couldn't figure them out and left currecnt owner in a very bad place. Despite this, ownership has selected good talent with their picks and will be looking to do the same this offseason. They should be proud of their team now compared to when they started.
NFC EAST
Giants 58-22
Skins 44-36
Eagles 25-55
Cowboys 11-69
138-182
The AFC South also had a new champ this season. The division also came down to the final weeks and even though the records weren't all high wins, it was still competetive as could be. The Titans have fought hard and deserve a playoffs spot after spending many seasons rebuilding. The Texans are looking to fill some gaps but still have a group that could win this division. The Colts started off hot a few seasons ago but need a few more guys to make this team dominate. The Jaguars continue to spend like a wild ass, and it is hard to pin point them on a map ... any map, wins map or an actual map to locate their correct stadium. But as time goes, they have figured some things out and they will continue to be in the fight for this division.
AFC SOUTH
Colts 47-33
Jags 34-46
Titans 28-52
Texans 26-54
135-185

It was a time in many folks lives that they felt a complete sickness creep into their stomachs. It was a time in which most people started to walk away and fear that the season was over. It was the lowest time in Chicago Bear recent memory. This was when Jay Cutler was laying on the field cringing in pain from a broken collarbone suffered against the Vikings in week two of the 2017 season.
The staff and the fans knew that this was a horrible thing and that they were going to have to give 6-8 weeks for that to heal. This would mean that a back up would have to do as little damage as possible to keep the Bears in the playoff hunt. It was clear that the fans and the rest of the league were going to pack up and consider the Bears done for the year.
This is where Trent Redmond was sent into the game.
"I wasn't exactly aware of how serious Cutlers injury was because I was told to get the play and go in. I figured it was just a bump, and I would hand the ball off a few times and go right back to the bench. What happened next was what every back up dreams of." - Trent Redmond
"Whether Trent knew it or not, the starter was down and down for a while, so we figured that this was a great time to let him rip it and show us what he could do. We were going to suffocate under a then, struggling run game or turn the ball over from his inexperience. Either way we looked at it, we might as well learn something about the guy's ability while we're here" - Mike Tomlin
Trent Redmond started his career in a much warmer climate in Tampa Bay. Redmond spent his rookie season for the Bucs on the bench, where he only ever threw 5 passes, 1 pick, and 11 yards. He was then cut at the end of the season where he was picked up by a familar organization.
The Vikings gave him a shot for one season, yet only allowing him to throw the ball 8 times for 1 TD and 1 INT. This was all Redmond was allowed to do, and was once again released at the end of the season.
As the offseason started, Chicago ownership knew that Jay Cutler wasn't going to last forever, and knew that a FA or drafted QB was something they would need to invest in very soon. As they were checking around the FA pool, Redmonds arm strength was what initially caught the eyes of Chicago staff.
"He had very simlar stats to Cutler. He was tall, strong arm, and we knew we could get him to be more accurate with the help of Cutler. He decided to take a shot, and if nothing else he could be a long term back up or a guy who could fill in a year between franchise guys if he didn't work out as such." - Chicago Ownership
Trent Redmond went into the game expecting to hand the ball off a few times, and never see the field again. He was then given the keys to the franchise as the Bears took off from there.
In the game againts the Vikings, off the bench Redmond was 7/8 for 150 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs in just over a quarter of play. The Bears lost this game, but won so much more in this young QB.
The Bears would take a loss in the next week against the Redskins, but with good production from th QB Redmond, the Bears were not worrid about the loss as much. They had expected the loss, but did not expect such great production out of Redmond.
Following the bye week and a win against the Lions, Chicago went to Seattle in which they were destroyed by the Hawks defense. This was a point in which they could have considered having Jay retun as the starter, as Redmond was picked four times. This instantly changed the Bears offense.
The Bears started relying more on their defense which after the Seahawks loss, stepped up significantly as well as the run game. In previous seasons, the Bears only had the arm of Cutler to help them win. They were finally winnng from a comination of NFC Rookie of the Year Marquel Ryan's rushing prodction, Defensive Lineman of the Year Robert Mathis, and many top ten players voted at their positions in Blanton, Barron, and Rhodes. It was finally coming together for Chicago.
The Bears went on a 9 game win streak in which at one point Redmond had thrown for over 10 TDs and 1 INT. Wins in this stretch were against teams against Sonny Weavers Bengals and The Minnesota Greshams.
When those were expecting the young QB to collapse in the playoffs, he put up good numbers including 0 picks vs the Saints and Packers leading his team to NFC Champsionship game. Three playoffs games and only one interception is much better than anyone had expected from a guy who was let go twice.
The season was ended in an NFC Championship game loss to the 49ers, but this season as a whole was a win for the Bears as they started 1-4 and finishd 11-5. This was something unexpected from everyone around the league, and they look forward to improving on it.
