Playoff Ready

After a diapoointing 2016 campign which saw them finish 4-12, the fornt office was determinded to affect change. Noteable players they were able to get were Cody Glenn, Breshard Perriman, Mike Daniels, Demario Davis and Kwon Alexander. This new faced team, with a focus on improving there woefull defense had high hopes to start the 2017 season.

Their hopes were dashed however with an initial loss to the Eagles who reached the Conference Championships the previous year. Determined to win, the front office turned to what it was good at and delt Brett hundley to Arizona for Veteran Carson Palmer and draft picks. Not two games later, Palmer was hurt in a questionable loss and was out for 4 games. Palmers injury combined with Head Coach Marcus Hopsins personal affairs with longtime label co-ceo Dame Ritter lead to a disappointing 1-4 record. Coach Hopsin was able to turn it around with a narrow win against ex-QB Hundley and the Cardinals. With the return of Palmer led the team to win 9 of the last 10 games with a QB rating of 120 and posting 29-10 TD-Int Ratio. He was infact the savior Chicago needed. The 11-5 record is not merely because of the offense btu mainly becasue of the defense. Reminding us of the old monsters of the midway, the bears new defense posts the leads best defense in Points allowed (17.5), total yards (273) and passing yards (143) per game.

Coach Hopsin and the Bears are excited to be facing the 49ers who have built an impressive squad in the wildcard. Stay tuned this weekend for that game and we shall see just how good this Bears team is without star QB Palmer who is once again hurt.

Whoever comes out of the NFC will be hungrey for a Super Bowl esspecially after all the rumors about how "the AFC is much better than the NFC." Nevertheless this has once again been a fun season.
