Jay Glazer had to take a special trip to DA LOU to see whats going on in Rams Nation. He Stopped by Ricky Bobbie's office to get the latest.
Glazer: The twittasphere is a blaze about the news of Cam Newton Joining the Rams.
Bobbie: I Felt it was a move we had to make. We have a great recieving core and although Mannion did an adimirable job leading the team to the playoffs We felt that Cam's Veteran Presence would get us to that next level.
(Cam walks into Ricky's Office)
Glazer: O What a surprise didnt expect to see you hear so soon Cam Mind if I ask a few questions?
Cam: Sure ask away. I was so excited Rams sent the Private Jet right away to bring me in
Glazer: How do you feel about the trade?
Cam: Can you see this smile on my Face? I'm estastic I have the opportunity to join a team thats ready to compete right now. Look at the Wr core that I'm walking into. Perriman, Cooks, Gilbert, and Priester Plus I also have a beast of a Rb in Da GurleyMan. The Mobb Squadd looks like a group that will give us xtra chances on offense. They can get after the Qb. What I love best about this team is that the Core is 22yrs old so that means we should be good for a nice while
Glazer: So would you say its Superbowl or Bust this season.
Cam: Most Def no reason I shouldnt be Dabbin on'em all season.
Glazer: Thanks for your time guys I look foward to see what you will do in FA and the draft with your remaing picks
Jay Glazer from the D1P network traveled to Da Lou to have a conversation with Ricky Bobbie the gm of the Saint Louis Rams to have a draft recap.
Glazer: You came into this draft with a ton of picks How do you feel about the draft.
Bobbie: Ya we came into the draft with something like 18 picks I believe. We came in with the plan to totally redo the defense and move to more of a hybrid scheme. I truly believe that we accomplished that goal.
Glazer: Common man we want details a lot of buzz around the D1P at the talent that you picked up.
Bobbie: Well we came into the draft with the plan to take 4 Lb's early. That didnt quite happen. We had picks 8,9 in the first round. Cincy kida threw a wrench in our plans. We had Blue and Mosely 1,2 on our needs board but Cincy grabbed Blue a pick before our selection. So we grabbed Runder Mosley the best LOLB in the draft. He comes in @ 6'2 235lbs with 91spd 82strg. He will immediately start and we expect big things from the kid. Since Blue was off the board we decided to not reach for need and took the best player on our board. Winston House he is 6'3 and the fastest Fs in the draft. Although Alexander has done a fine job for us at FS we couldnt resist the size speed combo of House. With 83 catch he has already shown a nose for the ball coming up wih 2ints in the Giants preseason game. He will be a staple in the backfield for years to come.
In the second round we got great results. Landing two superstar trait players. LT. Ron Wells was drafted to replace Jake Long coming in with an 80ovr rating 92str 89pbk 87rbk 84imp. He will lock down the left side and grow with Grob. We also hit on RE Quiston Grove who is a superstar trait guy that is 6'7 300lbs with 81 spd 90str . I dont know about you but I've never seen a big guy move so smooth and fast. With coach Fisher having the De trait it shouldnt be long before Groves is terrorising opponent qb's. We also grabbed OLB Cason Cummings and converted him to MLB. He will play the thumper role next to James L with that 88hitpwr. Word in college is that he is a slow learner. We havent witnessed that yet cause his play on the field says otherwise grabbing and INT in each preseason game. He may be he surprise of the draft for us.
The rest of the guys we drafted were basically for depth so I wont go into detail on them.
Glazer: What do you expect from this team this season also why no mention of the new Qb.
Bobbie: Green was brought in to be the backup but as you know with every new Qb they become a fan favorite. With 92 personality he will bring the chicks to the games but he has alot of work to do just yet. Especially with his deep ball. He has to learn how to throw it deep enough for Stephen Hill something he's struggled with.
Everyone knows about Ricky Bobbies 3year plan but we fully expect to compete for the division THIS year. Even if the team struggles this year we will have 2 1sts and 2 2nds to fix any issues that may crop up. I expect Coleman and Hill to carry us a long way.
