The Chargers won their 4th in a row game to improve to 7-3. For the first time this season the Lions got it done with someone other then DE Bosa (0 sacks) and HB Gordon (39 rushing yards). It was obvious that the Chiefs plan was to shut down those 2, and they did. Unfortunately for the Chiefs Qb Stafford picked up the slack with 2 TD's and 82% completion rate for the offence. The Defence saw DT Tillery and LB Nwuso step up with 2 sacks each and CB's Matthieu, King along with S Gunn pitch in with 1 INT each.
Now if we can the damn Raiders to lose.......
The Chargers get a 3rd straight victory today taking down the Packers 15-13 in a defensive battle.
New Packere coach did a hell of a job on D vs the Chargers but ultimately fell by 2 points; 2 points that he gave up on a blooper play when his CB Int'd Stafford but then ran into his own endzone and got tackled there....
The Chargers were a more balance team today then usualy; Gordon did his job with 90 yards carrying the ball but the Wr's got in in the action a bit as well as both Allen and Williams had 4 receptions.
The Chargers improve to 4-3 with a win over the 3-4 Broncos.
The Charrgers took an early lead with HB Gordon snapping off a 75 yard TD on the 2nd play of the opening drive. This game was over by the 2nd quarter doing so on the back of HB Gordon (189 yards rushing) and stellar D ( 4 INT's and 5 sacks).
Next up are the 5-2 Raiders who owned the Chargers in their first meeting of the season.
The Chargers get a much needed victory to keep pace with the Chiefs(3-2),the Raiders(3-2) and the Broncos (3-3).
This game was not very exciting as both teams struggled to score. The Lions blitzed over 75% of the time which gave old man Stafford a heart attack.
The Chargers came into this game knowing the Lions like to air it out and their gameplan to blanket cover the receivers worked well.
Man of the match goes to HB Gordon with 155 yards rushing. It was this man's efforts that allowed the Chargers to get into field goal range and get the 6 points they ultimately needed to win today.
