Miami is ready for another busy offseason. After the release of both Hakeem Nicks and Danario Alexander, the Dolphins are looking to trade two important pieces away, in order to free up some cap space and fix the swiss cheese of a team they are.
Branden Albert, the cornerstone of the Dolphins' offensive line, has been put on the trade block. His departure could help the team rebuild in other positions, just like Cameron Wake's trade did a couple of seasons ago.

Chris Long, the veteran DE, joined the team just a season ago. Despite performing well when he had the chance, the young superstar Gerald Thomas earned the starting spot on the left side, pairing up with the relentless Cliff Avril, demoting Long to a backup role as both DE and DT. Despite his regression, Chris Long is still a competitive player that could help many teams around the league.

With yet another defensive clinic, snagging 3 interceptions against Garret Gilbert's led Cardinals, Dannell Ellerbe wrote his name in the history books with golden letters, breaking the record for most interceptions in a single season, a record that was held by Dick Lane since 1952 (14). An unbelievable feat considering he's a linebacker. He had already pulverized the interceptions record for a linebacker early in the season, held by Stan White since 1975 with 8 interceptions in the season. With still 3 games left in the regular season, Dannell Ellerbe could set a mark that'd last for generations.
Despite Dannell's merits, however, for some reason he's still not in the race for the Defensive Player of the Year award. No love for Dannell, fire Goodell.
Matt McGloin became the first Quarterback in NFL history to score a passing TD while leaving his team with a goose egg on the scoreboard, as the Miami Dolphins beat the Giants 22-0 in the pre-season opener at Metlife Stadium. Because EA.
