Week 14 vs The Atlanta Falcons
Defense was the reason we won the game, probably mixed with the fact that Lamar Jackson was hurt. Giants offense struggled quite a bit in the game as the much improved Falcons defense keep the Giants in check the majority of the first half. Luckily the Giants defense also came to play, forcing 3 important INTs in the game. Giants offense did enough in the 2nd half to hang on to the win. Giants win 28-16.
Week 15 vs The Tampa Bay Bucs
Much like our game the previous week against the Falcons, this game was a struggle for the Giants offense. But yet again the Giants defense picked it up big time. They were able to force 4 INTs, 3 sacks, and 1 FF in the game. QB Daniel Jones topped 300 yards which was a pleasant surprise considering he really hasn't been hitting that number the last couple of season. Giants win again 29-14.
Week 16 vs The Carolina Panthers
This game resulted in a striaght sim due to the Giants being busy and the panthers borderline dying from a covid shot. The SIM showed a standard game recap as the offense was even across the board and the defensive stats were essentially non existent. Luckily, we walked away with the win, most likely due to the Giants high team overall. Final score 31-28.
Week 17 vs The Philadelphia Eagles
After the first drive of the game, the Giants knew that the Eagles heart was just not in the game. The Giants went up early and coasted the rest of the game. The majority of the 2nd half the chew clock feature was on. Defense was able to snag 3 INTs but no other stats in the game was really eye popping. Giants win the game and finish 14-2 on the year.
Playoffs:
WC Round vs The Atlanta Falcons
This game was a little different than the previous game mostly due to the fact that Lamar Jackson was healthy. But after a couple of drives by the Falcons, the Giants knew exactly what to do to stop them. The Falcons defense was still pretty impressive, but just didn't have enough to slow down the Giants on this day. We win 20-7.
Divisonal Round vs The Seattle Seahawks
This game was rittled with offensive mistakes by both teams. A whopping 7 INTs were thrown in the game. It really just came down to an extra play or 2 that the Giants made that ended up giving them the win. Giants win a close one 26-20.
Conference Championship game vs The Arizona Cardinals
This game looked like the Cardinals were going to win in blowout form. After only managing 3 FGs in the game through 3 Quarters, the Giants defense finally punched one in the endzone with a Danny Dimes scramble from 7 yards out, giving the Giants their first lead since it was 3-0. The Giants defense capped it off with a 103 yard pick 6 from Leo Mentor which put the Giants up for good. We win 23-19.
Super Bowl vs The Cincinnati Bengals
As expected, the Giants got blown out in the game. We hung around for the first quarter but ultimately just didn't have it in this game. The loss sucked but we were glad to get back to the SB one last time before the cycle ended. The Giants finish with the 3rd most regular season wins in the league, top 5 in playoff wins, and a 1-3 record in the super bowl. Overall it was a pretty decent cycle.
Week 9 was our much needed bye week.
Week 10 vs The Houston Texans
This game was actually a little sweaty in the first half. Luckily for us HB Saquon Barkley had a massive game with 182 yards on the ground. The game probably would have been a complete sweat-fest but the Texans QB decided to go full blown Ryan Leaf and hand us 5 INTs in the game. G-Men went on to win the game 34-10.
Week 11 vs The Dallas Cowboys
This game started off with us actually playing the game. Late into the 1st Quarter while we were up 10 points, the madden servers decided to tell us to fuck off. Cowboys graciously decided to throw a FW in the Giants direction, which was nice of them. The sim stats were nothing eye popping as everyone did their normal amount of work. Giants win 28-14.
Week 12 vs The Green Bay Packers
ah, The Packers. We love playing this team just because it is almost always a fun game. Madden normally decides to throw in its own bullshit but in general they are fun. We came into this game expecting to have to stop the deep PA pass. We didn't do a good enough job of stopping that, but we stopped the majoirty of everything else. Their running game was actually pretty good and that caught us off guard a little bit. Saquon and Danny Dimes both had solid games and the defense was causing havoc in the backfield all game long. Giants win a barn burner 48-28.
Week 13 vs The Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles front office decided that playing this game was not in the best interest of his mental health. Therefore handing the Giants a FW. The Giants gladly accepted and moved to 10-2 after a odd 27-21 FW. Stats of the game yet again were mundane and nothing really eye popping.
Week 5 vs The Seattle Seahawks
One of the few actual games we have played against a actual person this final season. This was a fun one. mostly because it was a blowout win against Regan, but still fun nonetheless. Lag kind of sucked, but our defense was playing top notch the entire game. Offense also couldn't be stopped. Makes us wonder why we don't play like this all the time. G-Men win 34-10.
Week 6 vs The New Orleans Saints
Welp, Saints ownership was a no show yet again and resulted in him getting DAS BOOT from the league. In typical FW form, the stats of the game were odd and we barely ended up winning the game. I sometimes miss the FW's of previous maddens where the final score was 45-7 in favor the of FW team. Regardless it was another W on the books for The Giants and still have only used 1 FW on the season.
Week 7 vs The Dallas Cowboys
This game was originally scheduled to go off without a hitch, but the game resulted in a FW for the Giants due to the fact the Cowboys couldn't make the game. Not sure if this results in the Giants last useable FW or if this is a freebie. The Giants actually performed well in the sim on both sides of the ball. Daniel Jones had one of his better games of the season, Saquon rushed for 2 TDs, and the defense only allowed 10 points in the game. Giants currently sit at 6-1 after their week 7 win.
Week 8 vs The WFT
This game resulted in a straight sim. Neither ower was really available to play so they decided to let the madden gods have their hand in the game. Box score indicated that the offenses for both teams had their way with the opposing defenses, as the Giants put up 35 points and the WFT put up 38 points. The game resulted in a close loss for the G-Men, which is only their 2nd of the season. Giants will rest in week 9 and then take on the Texans in week 10.
Week 1 vs The Jacksonville Jaguars
I don't know if it was just the fact that it was week 1, the fact that the Giants offense is really starting to age, or if god himself played for Riot, but this game was not a good one for The G-Men. We actually did have a lead and 1 point in the game, but the offense just could not do anything right and the defense gave up big 3rd down conversation after big 3rd down conversation. lag didn't help either. Giants fall 17-27 in large part to Danny Dimes 4 INTs.
Week 2 vs The WFT
With The WFT's owner on vaca, we had the pleasure of trying and playing the CPU for the first time in quite a while. Word on the street was that the CPU sliders were lowered so that having to play the CPU would be a little easier. I can promise this is not the case. The defense constantly stalled against the super human CPU defense and wasn't really able to get anything going. Luckily, we were able to get some stops of our own and also force a extremely rare CPU INT. Giants bounce back and win this one 13-7.
Week 3 vs The Tennessee Titans
TBH, We weren't really looking forward to playing the Titans. Grantly, we haven't lost to them at all this cycle, but playing them is always a grind. Luckily, we were the last scheduled matchup for week 3 and out of the goodness of our hearts we decided to force sim for the league (we get user points for this right?) Game looked pretty friggin boring according to the box score, but we did in fact come out with the W, keeping pace with the rest of the cycle. G-Men win 17-14.
Week 4 vs The Indianapolis Colts
Long time XCFL owner Shawn... errr... Sean.. errr Shaun? anyways, DeSean finally stepped down after being one of the longest tenured members of the XCFL. Hopefully he returns next madden because he's one of the good guys and those seem to be lacking nowadays. Anyways, we played the CPU in this game and also started to wonder if we were ever going to play another actual team owner the rest of the season. The game play itself was much like our week 2 game against the CPU as it was a grind, boring, and infuriating all at the same time. Luckily for us yet again, we were able to hold on to a sim margin of victory and move to 3-1 on the season.
Week 14 vs The Minnesota Vikings
This game resulted in a FW for The Giants. There were no eye popping stats on either side of the ball. Offense was evenly distributed and the defense forced 2 sacks in the game. Neither team had a turnover. Giants won 23-17.
Week 15 vs The Las Vegas Raiders
Defense won this game for the giants. The defense was able to come away with 2 sacks in the game, 4 INTs, and 1 defensive TD. Which was good because QB Daniel Jones did not bring his A game, throwing 2 picks. HB Saquon Barkley had one of his better games of the season, rushing for 112 yards, 1 TD, while also catching 5 passes for 50 yards. Giants win 31-21.
Week 16 vs The Dallas Cowboys
Both defenses had a very hard time stopping the opposing offenses in this game as the 2 team combined for over 800 yards passing and almost 200 yards rushing. Dallas was able to get 1 INT in the game and it proved to be the deciding factor in the game. Giants fall 41-49.
Week 17 vs The Seattle Seahawks
This game resulted in a straight sim, however looking at the score you would have assumed the game was a FW for the Seahawks. Giants management actually went and checked to make sure it was a straight sim because the score was soo bad. And honestly looking at the stats of the game, shit just doesn't make any sense.
Playoffs:
WC round vs The Tampa Bay Bucs
Defense was the saving grace for the Giants in this game as they picked off the Bucs 4 times in the game and also sacked them 3 times. Offense played well and only turned the ball over once in the game. Giants went on to win the game 34-24 and advanced to the divisional round against The Cardinals.
Divisional round vs The Arizona Cardinals
Giants have been struggling against the Cardinals as of late and this game was no different. The Giants defense completely had no answer for the Cardinals short passing attack and annoying running attack. Even though yet again they knew what was coming, which made it even more unbearable. Giants lose 28-34.
Week 10 vs The Denver Broncos
The Giants offense performed as they normally have this season. Average yardage and limiting turnovers seem to be the calling card for the G-men. On defense, they also performed like normal as they forced 3 sacks in the game and also added 3 INTs. Kicker Harrison Butker did his fair share with 3 FGs in the game. Giants win 30-14
Week 11 vs The New Orleans Saints
This game resulted in a FW for the Giants. QB Daniel Jones performed very well throwing for 264 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs. DE J Law had this 2nd straight game with 2 sacks and the Giants defense also added a INT in the game. Giants went on to win 35-14.
Week 12 vs The Los Angeles Rams
The Giants week 12 game against The Rams was an odd one. QB Daniel Jones failed to throw a TD in the game, but luckily also did not throw a INT in the game. HB Saquon Barkley had a monster game. Barkley rushed for 80 yards on 21 carries and had 5 rushing TDs in the game. He also added 2 catches for 7 yards. How he did not win POTW award is beyond me. Defense was busy forcing 2 sacks, 1 INT, and 2 FF's. Giants win 35-10
Week 13 vs The Philadelphia Eagles
The Giants wanted to make sure the Eagles knew their loss against them earlier this season was 100% a fluke. The Eagles did play pretty well in the game, but the extra focus on the Giants side really seemed to put the team over the edge. QB Daniel Jones was essentially perfect in the game completing 19/20 passes for 297 yards 2 TDs and 0 INTs. The running game did struggle a bit, but the defense was strong as they forced 1 sack and 2 INTs as well as holding the Eagles to only 14 points. Giants win 30-14.
Week 5 vs The Kansas City Chiefs
This game was ultimately decided in a FW for the G-Men. QB Daniel Jones had his typical game with average passing yards and low TD numbers. He also did not throw a INT which was nice to see. RB2 Josh Jacobs and RB1 Saquon Barkley carried the load for the offense as they combined for 35 carries and 139 yards. Jacobs had the lone rushing TD. Defense had a solid game with 4 sacks and 1 INT. Giants win 33-22.
Week 6 Was our BYE week
Week 7 vs The San Francisco 49ers
This was yet another game that was decided in a Giants FW. The stat line for the offense was very similar to their week 5 FW against The Chiefs. The defense was not able to record any sacks in this one, but did force a INT and a FF. Giants move to 5-2 with a 31-15 win.
Week 8 vs The Los Angeles Chargers
This game was over from the beginning. The Giants who beat the Chargers the last time they played, came into this game extremely rusty and it showed immediately. The Giants defense had zero answers for anything that the Chargers threw at them. Giving up a ton of yards in the air and were really unable to get the Chargers off of the field the entire game. Offense only had 1 turnover but struggled mightily moving the ball down the field. It is also worth mentioning that QB Daniel Jones was suspended for this game. Giants fall 10-34.
Week 9 vs The WFT
After the beat down the Giants took against The Chargers the previous week, the expectations for this week were bleek. However, the rust from the previous week seem to somewhat disappear as the Giants actually played a pretty good game. QB Daniel Jones did throw 2 ugly picks in the game, but the offense in general was solid and the defense really did their best to keep the Giants in the game. Danny Jones did throw for over 300 yards and 2 TD. Saquon could not get any running room in the game but did score twice on the ground, and WR Mecole Hardman had his way with the WFT defesne as he caught 7 passes for 217 yards and 2 TDs. The defensive unit forced 3 WFT INTs but zero sacks. Giants win 31-24.
Week 1 vs The WFT
The G-Men were granted a week 1 show down against the defending champion WFT. While the series has been pretty tight throughout the cycle, the WFT have one more as of recently in the h2h category. Giants wanted to start out the season on the right foot, which meant getting a week 1 win. They did just that behind a patient offense, and really impressive defense. QB Daniel Jones did a good job in this game completing 23/32 passes for 274 yards and 2 TDs. Defense was able to keep the WFT off of the score board for the most part and also forced 3 INTs. Giants win 35-21.
Week 2 vs The Dallas Cowboys
The offense and the defense for the Giants were on fine in this game. QB Danny Dimes pretty much threw a perfect game as he completed 13/16 passes for 365 yards 3 TDs and 0 INTs. Newly Acquired TE George Kittle had a huge break out game with 4 catches for 147 yards and 1 TD. Defense was strong as they forced 3 INTs, 1 FF, and 1 sack. Giants win 38-28.
Week 3 vs The Philadelphia Eagles
Giants played like complete crap in this game. The offense horrible all game besides HB Saquon Barkley getting 2 scores in the game. The Giants defense filled the stat sheet with 1 sack, 1 INT, and 3 FF's but continuously gave up big play after big play on 3rd down. Giants fall in a typical trap game 17-28.
Week 4 vs The Arizona Cardinals
Offense continued to struggle in this game. After doing pretty well against the Cardinals earlier in the cycle, the Giants have found themselves on the losing end the last couple times they have played the red birds. QB Daniel Jones struggled for the 2nd game in a row and the running game was essentially non existent in the game. Gmen did a great job containing the cardinals running attack but with zero help from the offense, struggled to keep the Giants in the game. Giants fall to 2-2 with a 19-24.
Week 14 vs The WFT
Going into this game we knew exactly what this team was going to do. Run with his shitty RB, throw short, run backwards 10+ yards on all passes.. and throw corner routes to his TE whenever we were in man. Even with knowing all this, we still lost. Playing against a 99 overall team is really fun.
Week 15 vs The Dallas Cowboys
Not really sure what happened in this game. Normally we have zero issues with the Cowboys, but apparently the owner has moved to the meta which is running the ball and barely throwing over 10 yards during any pass attempt. Can't blame him though, the majority of the league is doing it.. Just happend to take half the league 8 seasons to figure it out. He played well, wasn't expecting a L here.
Week 16 vs The Cincinnati Bengals
We figured this game was going to be a automatic L when we saw it on the schedule. Last time we played the Bengals was in the SB and it wasn't a pretty sight. Not sure if Wings forgot to take his meds or just felt bad and let us win, either way we happened to win the game 35-30. Shoutout to TE Jay Winslow who made an amazing catch to seal the game for the Giants. Also shocking because he drops more passes than he actually catches.
Week 17 vs The Pittsburgh Steelers
This game we played against the CPU. The CPU actually was trash for 3 quarters of the game. Offensively we struggled with the odd play calling by the CPU. Once up 23-0, the Steelers CPU decided to actually try and made the final score a lot closer than the game actually was. We win 23-15.
Playoffs:
WC round vs The Fucking WFT
Look back to our week 14 review. It was more of the same. Offense had problems moving the ball against their 3-4 any down defense loaded with 99 players. Defense knew what was coming the majoirty of the time, but had a hard time getting any pressure on the QB since he's being guarded by what seems like 5 99 overall Olineman.. I actually looked at one point to see if he had subbed Olineman in at TE.. I didn't notice any but something tells me there was an extra one in there somewhere. Combine that with 10 yard drop backs and shitty CB play, and it made for a real fun game. Here's to hoping VT bans coaches from ever touching an xbox again.
Week 10 vs The Arizona Cardinals
This game resulted in a FW for The G-Men as the cardinals coaching staff was out of town. The stats of the game were nothing really too exciting, however, the Giants defense was able to force 4 sacks in the game and also snagged 1 INT. HB CEH actually had one of his better games in a Giants uniform as he ran the ball 17 times for 89 yards. Giants win 29-10.
Week 11 vs The Chicago Bears
This game ended up being closer than some expected, even though the Bears scored a td with essentially no time remaining to make the score look a little closer than it actually was. Both offenses actually performed pretty well as both sides turn the ball over only one. Giants defense stepped up big against the run however only allowing the bears with 43 total rushing yards on the day.Giants offense did it's normal thing as Mecole Hardman and Saquon Barkley both led the way on offense for the Gmen. Giants win 34-27.
Week 12 vs The Philadelphia Eagles
A complete opposite type of game compared to last week, both offensese played poorly and both defenses played extremely well. The Giants were able to force 6 turnovers in the gaame. 5 INTs (Mentor x3, McIntosh x1, Whitfield x1) and 1 FF by McIntosh. Both the running game and passing game struggled, especially the running game with Saquon being held under 50 yards. Passing wise we threw for over 250 but had 0 TDs and 2 INTs. Giants went on to win 26-14.
Week 13 vs The New Orleans Saints
This team is straight out annoying to play against.. Their miserable short passing game and bullshit running game really drive people to drink. Defense consists of strictly cover 3 and press coverage.. starting to comtemplate if said defenses should even be allowed. (we all already know the response to this.) Regardless, the fault is on the Gmen because they knew what they were going to be up against and just didn't play well. Add in a wrong button INT on offense and it all spells out a 3 point loss for the G-men.
Week 5 vs The Green Bay Packers
QB Daniel Jones was effective throughout the game as he completed 19/23 passes for 304 yards and 2 TDs (1 INT). The ground game was decent with Saquon leading the way with 81 yards on 16 carries. Defense carried the load with 2 sacks from J Law and 3 INTs (Whitfield, Warner, McIntosh) Giants went on to win 33-24.
Week 6 vs The Cleveland Browns
This game ended up being a FW for the Giants. Nothing too eye popping on offense except for CEH making a strong showing with 42 yards rushing on 8 carries and 2 TDS. Defense was able to snag 3 sacks. Giants win 31-24.
Week 7 vs The Baltimore Ravens
Defense, Defense, Defense. The G-men's defense stepped up huge in their week 7 win against The Ravens forcing 5 Simpson INTs (Parsons x2, Murray Jr, Whitfield, Mentor) Offense also clicked on all cylinders as CEH and Saquon combined for 154yards on the ground and added 2 TDs. WR Mecole Hardman carried the load for the WR group has he caught 5 passes for 198 yards and 1 TD. Final score Giants 44 Ravens 24.
Week 8 We have our bye week.
Week 9 vs The Detroit Lions
Leo Mentor. He was the difference in this game with his NFC Defensive POTW performance snagging 3 INTs and 5 tackles. Offense chipped in while being efficient. TE Jay Winslow had a oddly great game as he caught 4 passes for 78 yards and 2 scores. JLaw added 2 more sacks to his great 2028 season. Giants win 30-20.
Week 1 vs The Dallas Cowboys
This was a typical game for the New York Giants. Offense was efficient not turning the ball over and yet did not produce any eye popping stats. Offense was led by HB Saquon Barkley and WR Mecole Hardman, as it has been for the last season +. Defense performed their normal bend but not break approach, giving up 17 points in the game, but did force 3 sacks and 1 INT in the game. Giants start the season off on the right foot after their 30-17 win.
Week 2 vs The WFT
QB Daniel Jones struggled mightily in this game. He did throw for 261 yards and 1 TD, but threw up 3 awful INTs. Newly acquired DE Peter Cloud did make his presence felt with a rare sack on the Washington QB, and the rest of the Giants defense added 2 INTs. The offense however just put the team in too big of a hole as HB Saquon Barkley had a horrible day on the ground finding very little room to run behind the young giants Oline. Giants fall 14-28.
Week 3 vs The Minnesota Vikings
This game was decided by a straight sim. Both the offense and defense performed well, and the stats on both sides of the ball were very evenly distrubted. G-Men ended up winning the game 35-14 to move to 2-1 on the season.
Week 4 vs The Philadelphia Eagles
There was very little defense in this game as both teams offenses excelled in this game. QB Daniel Jones had a very solid game as he completed 16/22 passes for 346 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs. HB Saquon Barkley didn't have a ton of yards in the game (71) but did punch in an impressive 5 TDs. Defense was able to force 2 sacks and 1 INT in the game. Giants move to 3-1 after a 49-33 win.
Week 14 vs The Miami Dolphins
This game resulted in a FW for The Gmen. The ball was evenly distributed on offense as no one really had any eye popping stats. The defense was also a joint effort behind 4 sacks and 1 INT. Giants went on to win 28-13.
Week 15 vs The Buffalo Bills
Giants seemed to escape a trap game against the Bills. Buffalo played an extremely good game on both sides of the ball and keep the potent Giants offense and defense in check throughout the game. QB Daniel Jones had an efficient game as he completed 19/24 passes for 272 yards and 1 TD. Defense was able to keep the Bills off of the score board but only forced 1 turnover and 1 sack in the game. Giants win 20-10.
Week 16 vs The Atlanta Falcons
There really isn't much to say about this game. The Giants were dominate on both sides of rhe ball. The offense clicked on all cylinders and the defense forced 4 INTs, 1 FF, and 3 sacks. Giants went on to win the game 37-0.
Week 17 vs The Tampa Bay Bucs
In the last game of the season, the Giants took on the Bucs in what was somewhat a meaningless game for the Giants since they wrapped up the #2 seed in the NFC. The offense was average at best in this game, but the defesne even though they gave up a ton of yards, forced 3 important INTs in the game. (Murray x1, McNeal x1 , Whitfield x1) Giants won the game 26-22 and finished with a 14-2 record for the 2nd season in a row.
WC Round vs The Green Bay Packers
After starting off a little slow on offense, the Giants kicked it up in the 2nd half of the game. Daniel Jones was pretty good throwing for 327 yards 2 TDs and 1 INT. HB Saquon Barkley and WR Mecole Hardman carried the load on offense as they have done all season .On defesne, CB Kurtis Whitfield sealed the game with 2 clutch INTs on the final 3 Packers drives. Giants move on after a 29-14 win.
Divisional Round vs The Arizona Cardinals
After a 3rd quarter disconnect, and Giants found themselves on the tail end of a lot of animations in game 2. it didn't completely cost them the game as they defintiely could have played better on both sides of the ball, but it was disheartening nonetheless. Giants were 100% prepared for the Cards mundane / boring / annyoing offense and yet the game just wasn't having it. Giants fall 28-17 in what was a game the Giants would like to forget immediately.
Week 10 vs The New England Patriots
Giants pushed their record to a solid 10-0 after the win against The Pats 35-32. Giants actually started off this game pretty well, but both defenses actually struggled to keep the opposing offenses off the field. QB Danny Jones had an average game for the Giants, completing 11/16 passes for 232 yards 2 TDs, and 1 INT. HB Saquon Barkley carried the load as normal with his 13/145/3 statline. Defense was quiet with exception to Kenneth Murray Jr's sack and McNeal's INT.
Week 11 vs The WFT
Round 2 was a lot different than the first meeting between these two teams. The WFT utilized the short passing game and made nearly zero dangerous throws. Playing safe in combination of the defense playing well really put the Giants in a tough spot in the game. Add in 2 Daniel Jones INTs and it was a combination that resulted in the Giants first loss of the season. Giants lose 23-35.
Week 12 vs The New Orleans Saints
This was a game that the Giants should have 100% won. Both teams battled throughout and the Giants actually led the game through 3 quarters. 3 Giants turnovers on offense really hindered the team. Especially the pick 6 in OT that cost the Giants the game. Again short passing was the bane of the Giants defense existence. Giants will need to make the correct adjustments as they will most likely see the Saints at some point in the playoffs.
Week 13 vs The New York Jets
Riding a 2 game losing streak, the Giants wanted to come out in this game and put it to bed as early as possible. Which is pretty much exactly what the G-men did. The defense finally stepped up in a big way forcing 3 Patrick Mahomes INTs. They also added 2 sacks in the game. On offense, the tandem of Mecole Hardman and Saquon Barkley seemed more than enough as the Giants went on to win 49-27.
Week 5 we had our bye week.
Week 6 vs The Seattle Seahawks
What an UGLY game. Both offense struggled mightily in this game. Luckily for us, our defense was just a little bit better. Rookie DT Eric Hunt had an outstanding game. Forcing 4.5 sacks on his way to a Defensive POTW award. DE J Law also added 4.5 sacks on the day which was huge because the Giants offense looked absolutely horrible. Offensive star of the game was Kicker Harrison Butker and his 3 FGS. Giants win 16-3.
Week 7 vs The Dallas Cowboys
Round 2. Giants were caught a little off guard in their first meeting and made sure to have a solid game plan for this game. The grouping of Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkely and Mecole Hardman carried the load on offense as the defense did their normal thing. Giants defense forced 4 INTs (Mentor x2, Parsons, Whitfield) Eric Hunt also continued his stellar rookie season with another sack and numerous QB pressures. Giants win 38-17.
Week 8 vs The Carolina Panthers
This game started off soo well for the Giants that they actually got out to a pretty large league in the first half. CB Kurtis Whitfield got the defense going with a early pick 6 and added another INT later in the game. HB Saquon Barkley and WR MeCole Hardman carried the offense in the game. QB Daniel Jones started off fine, but then completely fell apart in the 2nd half. Somehow Jones threw 5 INTs in the game and the final result was still a W. Rookie DT Eric Hunt added another 2 sacks brining his total up to 7 sacks in 7 games. Giants win 31-24.
Week 9 vs The WFT
As these matchups normally are, this game was another defensive battle. Giants stopped the WFT numerous times in the first half on 3rd down, making the WFT punt from 4th and inches to 4th and 2. Which really helped for field position in the game. Neither team gave up a sack and the Giants were only able to get 1 INT on the day. HB Saquon Barkley had what was probably his best game of the cycle against the division foe. Saquon rushed for 174 yards and 3 TDs on only 17 carries. QB Daniel Jones did a good job of not turning the ball over like he did in the preivous game, but also didn't throw a TD and only managed 128 yards passing against the though WFT defense. Giants win and move to 8-0 after a 34-17 win.
