Good news for the Chiefs this week as they have officially extended superstar defensive lineman Chris Jones and superstar offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz.
"This was a good week as we are happy to announce that our superstars in the trenches are here to stay for a little while longer."
Chris Jones was extended to three years while Mitchell Schwartz was only looking for another year. Chiefs will have to revisit him in the next season and see what he wants to do.
All in all it takes a little bit of pressure off the next offseason for the Chiefs and they can focus on putting pieces around their key players moving forward.
With the Chargers and Broncos both winning Super Bowls, will the Chiefs be the next out of the West?
Enzo and the Chiefs season ended without them making the playoffs last season and has put a bad taste in their mouth. "We know we were better than that and we're looking forward to prove that this season."
Chiefs made some decent upgrades in the offseason on their offensive line in hopes to give Pat more time and to get their running game going with Clyde. Especially against the tough division rivals powerful from 7s. As with every season, Chiefs will have to beat their division rivals to have any chance at winning the division and get a couple breaks from outside their division. Time will tell if the Chiefs are serious contenders or just pretenders.
It's official! The Chiefs and Tyreek Hill reach an agreement that will keep Hill in Kansas City for at least another 5 years! The deal is worth just under $120 million.
"It was a long negotiation process over a three week period, but we're happy to get the deal done" Coach Enzo said to reporters.

Chiefs improved to 2-0 yesterday with a solid win over the Indianapolis Colts. It was a bit of a revenge game for Coach Enzo, being that the Colts knocked the Chiefs out of the playoffs in the first round two seasons ago.
"We had a small chip on our shoulder and wanted to get this win. Not only because every win counts, but we wanted to get the bad taste out of our mouths from our playoff loss two seasons ago. We never got over it." -Enzo said at the press conference.

Chiefs come into Season 59 with expectations and questions. Perhaps one of the biggest questions looming over the Chiefs is will they resign superstar wideout Tyreek Hill?
Hill is in the final year of his contract and is looking for a huge extension. $117M over 5 years to be exact.
"It's not a question of do we want Hill back, it's a question of CAN we have him back."
Chief's GM and Coach Enzo are constantly meeting with Hill and his people to try and get a deal done and hope to get a decision in Weeks 3 or 4. Chiefs also have to be ready to resign other key stars this year in Hardman and Thornhill.
Will Chiefs bring Hill back, or if the two parties cannot make a deal, will Hill be on the block?
