Post in the comments below if you feel I got it wrong as the coach of your team and give us a sneak peek into what you may do with the QB’s you currently have on your roster!
760 Madden 17 Team Draft
#1 Overall:
Hyperbolic Time Chamber: San Francisco 49ers
Grade: A+
Reason: Word around the chat was that the 49ers were going to be the last team taken and people were not happy about it. In comes home town savior to take the 9ers FIRST OVERALL, and he’s calling you out NFC West. Look out for that division!
#2 Overall:
Sublimedyl: Houston Texans
Grade: A
Reason: New additions on offense Lamar Miller and Brock Osweiler made added on with incumbent JJ Watt and DeAndre Hopkins made the the Texans a hot commodity in real life and madden. Solid pick but there may be issues in the secondary.
#3 Overall:
E_Warren24: Seattle Seahawks
Grade: A
Reason: Can never go wrong with the Hawks early on in the draft. Great defense, great QB and an emerging WR group with Baldwin leading the way and Jimmy Graham coming off injury. Can E replace the stats that retired Marshawn Lynch would’ve put up with Thomas Rawls, will this no longer be a ground and pound team? Baldwin got paid so it may seem that the tide is turning in the passing direction
#4 Overall:
Antonio Tone Montijo: Dallas Cowboys
Grade: A
Reason: Another great early on pick, Cowboys have everything to win right now. Romo and Witten are getting up there in age but are still productive when on the field together. Greg Hardy gone, two Defensive ends suspended in real life as well as Rolando McClain at LB and an injury prone Sean Lee. Will the madden ratings shaft the players that are injured or suspended, that is the real question surrounding this team. Defense?
#5 Overall:
Bengals: New Orleans Saints
Grade: B+
Reason: Gotta love the low key sneaky pick by the former Bengals owner. Another great offensive team with huge questions on defense, especially the secondary.
#6 Overall:
GrownFolksBidniz: Arizona Cardinals
Grade: A+
Reason: Surprising that this team fell this far, great pick with few weaknesses on either side of the ball. Look for PP and Tyrann to wreak havoc in the secondary. (Looks at NFC West)
#7 Overall:
MeowCHASER: Carolina Panthers
Grade: B+
Reason: Coming off a lack luster Super Bowl performance can MeOw will Cam and the crew back to a NFC SB birth? Lose Josh Norman, Gain Kelvin Benjamin back. A lot of pressure on Luke and the front 7 to make up for Norman’s unexpected release from his franchise tag.
#8 Overall:
ZIgnorance-_: Denver Broncos
Grade: B+
Reason: This team looks pretty solid everywhere but QB, with Peyton retiring and Brock leaving in Free agency. Will zig start Rookie First Round Pick Paxton Lynch to sling it to DT and Emmanuel Sanders or let incumbent vets Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian and the Defense lead the way?
#9 Overall:
K1ng GQ: Cleveland Browns
Grade: C+
Reason: How will RG3 to Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman look? Pro Bowl LT Joe Thomas stays but C Alex Mack left in free agency to Atlanta. How will Robert hold up? Can Joe Haden lead the defense, a lot of questions in BELIEVEland but no doubt a TON of talent as well.
#10 Overall:
Kingdaddy: Buffalo Bills
Grade: B
Reason: Bills are somewhat of an unknown team. Will this team rely heavily on Shady McCoy or hope that Sammy Watkins stays healthy to lead the passing attack. One thing for sure, Tyrod is the man for the #BillMafia
#11 Overall:
Youngudda: New York Giants
Grade: B+
Reason: After spending what seems like a gajillion(?) dollars in free agency on defense this was another hot madden team. Oliver Vernon and Janoris help shore up the defense and get Eli another title? Can Gudda tame the madden beast that is Eli.
#12 Overall:
Suduko28: Washington Redskins
Grade: B+
Reason: Besides RG3 leaving there isn’t much change besides Josh Norman coming in, which is a huge help. We all know that anything can happen in the NFC East but this team is set up to win now with Djax and Pierre Garcon on the last year of their respective deals.
#13 Overall:
x—Nike: Miami Dolphins
Grade: B-
Reason: Little bit biased here but what have the Phins done recently to warrant a good grade? Lose Oliver Vernon, add Mario Williams and two older CBs to replace Brent Grimes. Definitely a wait and see situation in Miami. Lose home town kid Lamar Miller and add aging injury prone vet Arian Foster.
#14 Overall:
AssassinGorgon: Minnesota Vikings
Grade: B+
Reason: Young and talented at almost every position. AD isn’t getting any younger, Assassin seems more than ready to lead the Vikings with the defensive end leading the charge.
#15 Overall:
Batmanx_007: Chicago Bears
Grade: C
Reason: Very young defense and Spazz Gunslinger Jay Cutler at QB. Can they make up for the loss of Mr. Do it all Matt Forte? Hometown hero Batman is looking to answer all of these questions headforth!
#16 Overall:
Slick: Tennessee Titans
Grade: B
Reason: This is definitely a ground and pound team with the offseason acquisitions of DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry while improving the O-line as well. Can this team use T.O.P. as an advantage to help lessen the blow of their weak defense?
#17 Overall:
Mix: Kansas City Chiefs
Grade: B
Reason: Real life hold out by Comeback player of the year Eric Berry may hinder his madden stats (who really knows how they base stats???) and Jamal Charles coming off injury makes this team less sexy team to pick than usual, but still a stellar one. Great balance on both sides of the ball from Travis Kelce to Marcus Peters and Justin Houston.
#18 Overall:
Truckfarm: Cincinnati Bengals
Grade: B
Reason: Solid pick here, can Truck do what Marvin Lewis has never done? Win. One. Stinking. Playoff. Game. -Stephen A Smith.
#19 Overall:
Piffsburgh22: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Grade: A
Reason: Great young team with a weakness in the secondary, can a 5’10 Brent Grimes be the #1 CB for this team? Besides that this team looks loaded to win every other position.
#20 Overall:
TJ: Indianapolis Colts
Grade: B
Reason: Coach Tj is known for his love of mobile QBs and Luck is that and a great passer. Will be fun to see how Tj uses Luck and how he handles his lack luster defense.
#21 Overall:
Jeffpenland: New York Jets
Grade: B
Reason: Monster Defensive line and Revis in your secondary will always keep you in contention. Will Jeff have Fitzmagic lead the band for one last go around or let Geno (on his last year of his deal), Bryce Petty or Rookie Christian Hackenberg lead the Veteran offense. Definitely a team to watch for.
#22 Overall:
Tdt: Detroit Lions
Grade: C+
Reason: No matter who you add (Anquan Boldin) there is no easy way of getting over the loss of Megatron. Tdt has his hands tied with this team, do they win now with Stafford or cut him loose and start over AGAIN? Can the defense be adequate enough to help Detroit stay relevant, stay tuned Detroit!
Remaining Teams:
Baltimore Ravens - Mistahslurps
San Diego Chargers - Singletary Jr
