RAMS HEAD INTO BYE WEEK 6-2

The Rams head into the bye week with a record of 6-2 having beat division rival Seattle. That makes them 3-0 within the division and 5-1 within the conference. The Rams boast one of the leagues best offenses in coach Vlade's inaugural season gaining 379 yards of offense per game and averaging 32ppg. The defense has played well enough to win causing 24 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery. They are 30th in the league in yards against, but only giving up 23ppg in a bend but don't break type of defense. 4 out of their 8 contests have been decided by a TD or less with another being an 8 point win. They will face the dangerous Browns after the bye week, but look to be the front runners for the NFC West title. 

Goff has played solid passing for 1540 yards and 7 TDs. He has thrown 9 INTs, but 5 came in 1 game. He is completing 81% of his passes. The ground game is tops in the league averaging 190 per game. Akers leads the team with 1174 yards rushing and a league best 19 rushing TDs. He had a development upgrade possibility, but was injured on his 1st rush attempt of the game losing any chance to become an X-Factor. Cooper Kupp leads the team in receiving with 32 catches for 592 yards.

John Johnson III and Jalen Ramsey lead the secondary with 5 and 4 INTs respectively. Terrance Cage is amongst the rookie leaders in sacks with 4.5 on the year.

RAMS OPEN WEEK 1 WITH A VICTORY

The Los Angeles Rams open season 60 deafeating the Chiago Bears 38 to 10. The Rams jumped out to a quick 17-0 lead, but the Bears cut the lead to 17-10 going into the half. The  Rams received the 2nd half kickoff and drove down the field chewing up 5 minutes of the clock to score and go ahead 24-10. The Rams were able to put 2 more TDs on the board to eventually win the game 38-10.

The star of the game was Cam Akers who accounted for 4 TDs 3 on the ground rushing for 120 yards and 1 thru the air with 44 receiving yards. Goff was solid on the day with his only miscue throwing an INT towards the end of the 1st half, but he completed 80% of his passes on the day accounting for 204 yards passing. The Rams were able to pick Murray off 4 times with newly acuired free agent Poona Ford sacking Murray twice and 1st rd draft pick Venzell Leonard acquring 1 sack.

RAMS LOOK TO SOLIDIFY DEFENSE

The Rams went mostly defense in Coach Vlade's 1st season as the Rams Coach. 

With their 1st pick 15th overall they selected Venzell Leonard DT out of Ohio St. This 77 OVR DT is looking to make a big impact and Coach Vlade is looking to get a lot of playing time out of Venzell.

The other rookie looking to make an immediate impact is Terrance Cage LB out of Mississippi Valley State. He played MLB in college, but coach Vlade is looking to run Terrance at any LB spot to get him on the field. He can be a true impact player.
