Saints get a much needed win against the Cardinals!

Whew, things are looking better in New Orleans today as the Saints finally end their 2 game loosing streak, but it wasn't a pretty one.

Drew Brees continues not impress as he was 11/22 for 103 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 ints. Raising the question that he is losing some of his swagger. I think not, the real blame fell on the O-line. Brees was constantly being rushed to throw the ball and having to avoid sacks. The play O-line needs to improve greatly or it could be a long year for the Saints and Drew Brees.

One bright light on the offense today was work horse Darren Sproles. He put the offense on his back and accumulated 175 total yards and a receiving touchdown.

The real hero of the game was the defense. They were very stout upfront and did a great job stopping to run as well as getting to the quarterback. Butler and Gallett combined for 3 sacks and many more qb hurries.

The defensive player of the game is Junior Gallett. He finished the game with 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 ff, and 1 int. His interception was well timed allowing the Saints to take a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

Lets see if the Saints can use the win as motivation for the upcoming game against the Dolphins.

Saints re-sign Jimmy Graham

Big news in the big easy today as the Saints re-signed superstar tight end Jimmy Graham. A deal was reached relatively quickly and both sides agreed to a 6 year 47.4M extension. It's safe to say Jimmy Graham will be a part of Who Dat Nation for a very long time.

Although we are only 2 games into the regular season and the Saints have yet to get a win, Graham is on pace to break the single season receiving yardage record by a tight end.

We will see how things go as the season progresses but if we had to guess, Jimmy Graham will be nothing short of great for this Saints high powered offense.
