1. You don't trade - trading is key to improving your roster.
2. You don't do weekly training - training using gold drills, focus training young players and making sure you have scheme fits is key to player development.
3. You don't utilize coach xp - weekly training bonus, position xp bonuses, extra scouting points all help your team get better.
4. You don't scout/ make your draft picks - scout every week, pay attention to draft storyline, set your draft board. If you are wasting picks, you will fall behind.
5. You think "ratings don't matter" - this is just false. Ratings matter more than ever at all positions.
6. You don't scout your opponent- look at their roster/depth chart/stats. You can figure out who they like to get the ball to and defend against it.
7. You pick your defense before seeing offensive personnel - please stop coming out in a 4-3 blitz against a spread offense. Match your defense accordingly. Know where the best players are.
8. Know your limitations as a user- if you are bad at coverage, play DL and sprinkle in some coverage until you get better. If you can't user tackle, let the cpu do it. If you throw a lot of picks, move to a run heavy, short play action gameplan.
9. You don't use the tools available to you - DL and LB adjustments, play the sticks, zone depth, CB matchups, hot routes to the sticks, contain, etc. There's so many in game tools to use. If you just pick a play and roll with it, you will be easy to read.
10. You don't ask questions - if you struggle in an area ask for pointers from someone that excels on that area.
It's been a frustrating start for the Green Bay Packers through 3 games. The team looked like they were back on track in week 2 after losing to the rival 49ers to start the season, but came out in week 3 completely disfunctional against the Panthers. The goal for Green Bay this season was the 1st seed and home field advnatgage in the playoffs, but that dream is already fading away.
The offense has failed to produce, even dating back to late last season. Aaron Jones has put the ball on the ground 4 times already leading to 3 turnovers. The elephant in the room has been how the offense has failed to reintegrate Davante Adams after he missed the majority of last season with injuries.
The 3 time Pro Bowler managed just 6 catches in 2 games played last season. He returned in the playoffs but was mostly untargeted, and so far through 3 games has only managed 5 catches for 113 yards and 1 TD. There seems to be growing animosity between the coach, the QB and Davante.
The defense, while stout against the run and on pace for career highs in sacks, has given up way too many big plays in the first few games that the offense has not been able to recover from. The team will need the secondary to step up if they want to get back on track. DE Diamond Spidell, who is due for an extension this summer has voiced frustration over playing time. The coaching staff sees his potential, but he is behind a front 4 of Kenny Clark, Marv Acosta, Bradley Chubb and Rashan Gary that are all having career years. Playing time is limited so something will have to give eventually.
This is a team with Super Bowl aspirations, but they need to turn it around quickly. Stay tuned.
Water in to Wine - These players have made consistant good moves, and their teams are much better than stock
Packers - Green Bay has consistantly hit on trades and in the draft, creating a team with little to no holes.
Patriots - One of the worst roster to start due to their age and lack of speed, the Pats now have an explosive offwense that can stay comptetive in the AFC.
Redskins - Deshawn Watson to Hollywood Brown is a farcry from Haskins to Paul Richardson
49ers - The best core of linebackers in the game anchor an elite defense. They finally have their QB of the future, its all roses in San Fran.
Not going anywhere - These players have navigated themselves into a strong long term position.
Cards - Parlayed Kyler Murray intoa group of players that filled out the roster nicely, including a superstar to replace the QB position.
Chiefs - It isnt easy to build a roster with a QB mking 40 million a year, but the Cheifs have penny pinched their way into a roster full of talent on both sides of the ball.
Lions - At one point the worst situation in the league. The team is turning around behind Dak Prescott, Mike Evans, and strong defensive drafting.
Playing it safe - These players have made few moves, but have a positive net outcome
Bills - Cant argue with 3 straight AFC titles and a SB win, but the roster hasnt seen much shakeup. If it aint broke, dont fix it.
Vikings - See above ^ a strong roster out of the gate continues to shine.
Titans - Traded a player only to trade for him back a year later, you wont find many new faces on the Titans but it hasnt been a detriment, yet.
Giants - Worst team out of the box, little trade chips. Giants have made the best out of a bad situation, but they are still bad.
Saints - The core of the team is the same, but the Saints have made solid moves to improve the defensive line and add speed to a bad starting LB core.
Steelers - Got their HB and QB of the future through good trades, but the rest of the roster remains mostly untouched.
Eagles - Starpped for cash for most of the franchise, ahvent been able to do much. Got Wentz a much needed weapon in Keenan Allen.
Jags - Improved the OL, got a young QB to replace Nick Foles, but...meh
Are you still there? - These players havent done much in terms of trades/signings
Panthers - Kobe, are you there?
Colts - Indy has mainly stood pat, but recent results say its time for something fresh.
Falcons - Hello? Boca? Hello?
Jets - Minor moves, the Jets need more of a shakeup.
One step forward, two steps back - These players lack direction. Have made equally good and puzzling moves.
Seahawks - Imagine this..Dynamic offense with Russel Wilson, Hollywood Brown, DK Metcalf, and OJ Howard. Now imagine reality, Daniel Jones to someone named Antonio Calloway.
Cowboys - The best roster in the league without a doubt seasons 1 and 2. All star caliber team. Cap issues caught up with them. Poor decisions to resign Pat Peterson and Mike Daniels caused the Cowboys to jetison highly touted players for future picks. The team is trying to recover.
Dolphins - The once strong defense is now mediocre, the once strong offensive line is no more. Where did it go wrong? Coach Simcotty is often seen laughing in the nose bleeds of Dolphins stadium.
Ravens - Lamar Jackson, the best show in town was shipped out, to build a high end defense that go coach Jimi his first playoff win in a decade. Greed got the better of him as he hurt his defense to add Aaron Donald, who is often seen fueding with Joey Bosa.
Bengals - The best safety in the league traded for scraps, the once elite secondary is searching for its soul while Tyreek Hill tries to avoid suspension.
Broncos - Lateral moves, I see lateral moves everywhere. Exhanges Bradley Chubb for Ebukom and indirectly exhanges Sutton for MVS. Assets would have better been used elsewhere but you cant knock the record.
Rams - Jared Goff for Dak Prescott who was later released for Russel Wilson. Goodbye to John Johnson and later Chidobe Awuzie. A team with no direction.
Chargers - The first victim of Lamar mania. Traded the heart of the team for the QB who couldnt make it through a season without major injury. Later shipped to Chicago for the younger Bosa brother. Building the defense back to where it was pre Lamar.
Hand over your keys - These players have made moves to actively hurt their team
Raiders - Traded a haul that included pass rusher Clelin Ferrel andJosj Jacobs to the cardinals for QB Kyler Murray, but have found it difficult to win without pieces around him. Word is Kyler is already out of favor in Oakland.
Texans - QB roulette in Houston. The young franchise QB Watson was replaced by the cheap rook, the cheap rook was replaced by the older model of Watson in Russel Wilson, and Wilson was shipped out for the new age Chad Pennington. Fans are getting tired of buying new jerseys.
Bears - Chicago started with a ready made defense and a young offense with potential, now they are in shambles with an injured QB.
Browns - Al Davis would be proud of this obsession with outside weapons with speed. But a balanced attack is what this team is missing.
Bucs - The team invested in Winston but traded away his top 3 targets, and the young secondary never developed into anything worth their respective draft slots.
Another season with the number 1 seed in the NFC with Superbowl dreams, another season that didn't go the way the Packers thought it would. Green Bay played well enough all season to take home field advantage in the NFC to put themselves in the best position to win. The divisional round againstthe Seahawks couldn't have gone better. The game was never in doubt and the team felt good about how they were playing.
The NFC Championship was a rematch of the season 2 game, matching the Packers up with the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay had won the first meeting before ultimately losing to the Browns in the Superbowl. Both teams knew they were in for a fight and the game didnt disappoint. After erasing a 2 score defecit and leading by 1 midway through the 3rd quarter, the Packers were a defensive stop away from really grabbing the momentum and potentially putting the Cowboys in a bad spot. But then it happened; 2nd and 10 from their own 25, Marcus Mariotta launches a bomd to the left side to Amari Cooper. Kevin King had perfect coverage, swatting the ball out of the air before Cooper even had a chance to make a play. However the ball hung, and King as well as Safety Keenan Diles misplayed the the ball in the air, allowing Cooper to catch it off the tip and go 75 yards for the lead that Dallas would never give back.
The mentality in Green Bay is championship or bust, so failures like this sting and they sting hard. The one positive is we have a young team here and will be returning almost all 22 starters for another run. The only key loss in the off season will be starting TE Rob Gronkowski, so replacing him will be the number 1 priority for a push to win a title in the final stretch of Madden 19.

The Green Bay Packers offense couldnt find a rythem in the biggest game of the year. After avererging 40 points a game, they could muster only 7 points in the biggest game of the year. Miscues time and time again came back to haunt them. Not capitalizing on field position, missed throws, a failed 4th down conversion, abandoning the run game, all things that ended their 15-1 season one game short of a trophy. The defense on the other hand stepped up to the moment, holding the Browns to 19 points, doing more than enough to win the game.
The saving grace for the Packers is they should be able to get back if they stay focised. Young players improving all over the roster from the OL, the WRs and the fron 7 of the defense. The biggest roster issues facing the team are an aging TE and typically bad play at the safety spot. Fixing these issues will be the number 1 priority in the offseason.
A first place schedule and an improved division will make things more challenging. The Bears should have a rebound season after winning the division seaon 1, and coach Scoonie will be looking to make noise the the Lions, and the Vikings have nowhere to go but up. It will be a long road but we plan on getting back to the big game in season 3.
