Ravens official response to Breshad Perriman's suspension.

The Ravens maintain that Breshad Perriman did nothing wrong and is being suspended without good cause. The council's ruling on the matter is both unfair(when taking all the facts and situation into account), unusual(given this being a supposed first time offense), and suspiciously timed with the Ravens being in the middle of a race for the playoffs. There was no previous official warning and the evidence(TD ratio to next receiver's, and a few plays picking on user mistakes) is useless without proper context and likely done solely to affect stats, awards, and wins in a way that pleases those in charge. The Ravens will not be commenting on this any further.

Lesean "SHADY" McCoy suspended for PEDs.

Lesean "Shady" McCoy lived up to his nickname when he decided to use performance enhancing drugs in a bid to capture the leagues rushing record. After an inhuman performance in which he broke the league rushing record in a game(367 yards) caused suspicion he was tested and found to have elevated levels of HGH in his system. The league is out to send a message and have suspended him for 4 games. This could hurt the Eagles playoffs chances.

Game of the Week Prediction: Jets vs Patriots

This weeks premier game is all about revenge. The Patriots were sitting pretty after learning that Rob Gronkowski would be available to start the season and hoping a healthy year from both him and Amendola will result in another shot at the Superbowl. Looking at their division and the few teams in the AFC overall poised to stop them it was looking pretty well, until they ran into the NY Jets and backup QB Mark Sanchez who stopped them in their tracks both on offense and defense. Against all odds Sanchez was able to throw for 382 yards and two TDs embarrassing defensive guru Belichick. No one thought Sanchez would play this season, much less outplay Tom Brady head to head. Tom Brady himself had a terrible outing throwing 47 times for 478 yards and a TD. Doesn't sound too terrible does it, how about the fact he threw two interceptions and cost his team the game despite an outstanding effort on the ground from their Running Backs and his offensive line giving him all day to throw. Don't let the high number of yards fool you, when it came down to it the defense was able to make plays and stop him in his tracks giving the Jets the thrilling victory. This time around will the Jets have their way with the Pats once again, will Belichicks bland and uninspired defense allow the Jets to hang with this high powered offense, will the legendary Tom Brady choke against his rival again? No, I predict the winner of this game will be the AFC East champion and most likely secure a first round bye, that means this game is of the utmost importance. These two legends are out for one more ring before they leave and this is the best way to go about it. Also it never hurts that this is a rivalry revenge game, Patriots 38 - Jets 24.

Game of the Week Prediction: Texans vs Rams

This weeks matchup is very simple without all the big storylines full of drama but it still will determine a lot in regards to the playoff race. For the Rams a win here can prove their legitimacy and show the rest of the league that they are far from the pushovers they used to be. With a tough secondary, a good pass rush, and talented Linebackers they should be best equipped to deal with a balanced Texans offense that strikes at a defenses weak spots with ease. How Cortland Finnegan deals with the great Andre Johnson is anyones guess, but he can make it a very hard day for the leagues most consistently productive Wide reciever. On offense the Rams have explosively exciting playmakers such as Daryl Richardson, Jared Cook, and Tavon Austin, who will all need to have a big game in order to survive this ordeal. The Texans have Championship aspirations and anything less is a failure. A loss here could really hurt locker room morale and cause the team to lose the sharp focus they have gained thus far. They will look to take control early on offense by getting Andre involved and then control the game with their run game. Arian Foster and Ben Tate are a deadly duo and trying to get back in the game while stopping the two of them is a impossible task. The Rams seem as balanced as the Texans, the problem is they are a level below in every facet of the game and once they get behind they won't come back. Texans 28- Rams 13

Game of the Week Prediction: Falcons vs Jets

This week’s big game pits two teams with greatly differing expectations and paths against each other.  This is the Falcons year. They have all the pieces, the balance of young studs and wise vets , and the hunger to win it all. They have amazing talent on offense and there isn’t any one person you can lock down all game. Defending them is the worst game of whack-a-mole possible.  Matt Ryan is as efficient as ever and is spreading the ball around, Sjax is looking at another 1000 yard rushing season, and the top four receivers on the team (Julio, Gonzo, Roddy, and Douglass) are all in the top 20 in the league in receptions. This offense is ready for a shootout with anyone. They had a hiccup in their championship campaign with an embarrassing loss to the Patriots. They look to right the ship and get back to their dominant ways.   The New York Jets are supposed to be a lot of things. The little brothers to the NY Giants, fodder for the New England Patriots, a team and franchise in rebuild mode with a coach on the hot seat, a group looking toward the future, not the present, with a new rookie QB who needs developing. What they weren’t supposed to be was 4-0, succeeding with a backup QB whose career was thought to be over, the Patriots worse nightmare, and the toast of New York. Despite the Falcons Pro Bowl like offense, the Jets will do what they do best and shut down passing to the outside while creating turnovers on the inside and doing their best to bang it out in the trenches to stop the run game and break through the weak offensive line of Atlanta. Expect turnovers, tense drives, and a chess match in the air. The Jets aren’t supposed to win this game, but they will. Jets 31 - Falcons 24. The Circus continues.

Advanced Tactics: If you want to win, attack your opponents weak spots.

One way to get a leg up in a game is to know exactly what to call for specific opponents and why. In the Ravens victory over the Texans the team was able to maintain its very strong running game despite the rest of the league tightening up against it elsewhere. How were they able to do this, by attacking a giant hole left in the Texans defensive line with JJ Watt (their best player and difference maker) being out with a broken jaw. They ran Iso, blasts, and stretch plays to captialize on his absence. The run game was the catalyst for this huge victory over a big division leader and now you know why. If you want to run better you need to know where to run.
