Patriots Mid-Season Update.

The New England Patriots, currently sitting at 5-3, seem to be slowly coming together, proving that they can be a dominate force in this league. Coming off last game, we finally see a Bortles and Slaughter connection building with Slaughter coming up with 10 for 157 and 1TD. Coming out of college, he carried the nickname “Slaughterhouse” for coming up with big game changing catches, as well as being a deep threat.  Can he live up to the same expectations in the league?

The defenses continues to make plays as always, currently sitting at number 3 in the league. Players such as Mayo, Lindsay, and rookie CB Landry continue to stand out. “Creating Turnovers” continue to be their goal.

Week 2 Update

The New England Patriots seem to be off to a rough start at a struggling 1-1 heading into week 3. Things have not look so good the past couple of games, as a majority of the points came from defense and field goals.

On Offense

The patriots have yet to score a touchdown in the air. Blake Bortles has yet to find his groove in the new offensive scheme, but things are looking up. New QB coach and offensive coordinator Tom Brady spent extra time on the field and in the film room with Bortles to help him get more comfortable with the new offense. When you have guys like Rob Gronkowski and Kalum Slaughter, it’s important that the patriots get the ball in their hands to put them in a position to win.

On Defense

On the defensive side, the patriots seem to be holding their own, as Mayo is still a fearful presence, returning an interception for a 50+ yard TD. The Patriots have forced a total of 8 turnovers so far with rookie CB and 1 rnd pick Eilar Landry coming up with a clutch int in overtime vs the Titans, putting the patriots in a position to win.

Conclusion

In order for the patriots to succeed this season they must capitalize on turnovers, move the ball on offense, and create less turnovers on offense, and just DO THEIR JOB.

Week 3 Update

With week three in the books, the New England Patriots are 0-3. The Patriots are quickly looking to turn things around. The Patriots just can't seem to get anything consistently moving on offense, with starting rookie QB Brock Lane is 30/63 with 3 toucchdowns and 7 costly interceptions. The coaches are questioning Lane's development. Showing promise coming out of college, his current numbers are the opposite. Its obviosu that the team has a long way to go at the QB position. Is Lane the one to replace the great Tom Brady, or should the team look elsewhere?

Stay tuned.....

New Owner New Plans

This year, the New England Patriots will be managed by winning coach turned owner Deiondrick Roberts. Deiondrick has a sucessful track record of turning teams around. Roberts was formerly the head coach on the 2011 Carolina Panthers in "TheBrokenRobotz(Botz) league, and led them to the playoffs , unfortunetly losing one game away from the NFC Championship. Roberts was also the Head coach of the 2012 Philidelphia Eagles in Botz, and led them  to the playoffs with an undefeated regualr season. But again, Roberts was not able to make it to the superbowl, losing in the first playoff game 22-21.

As a first time owner in a new competative league, Madden Bomber League(MBL), which is full of talent, Roberts hopes to turn around a franchise thats was a dominat within the past 10 years. When we asked Roberts about his gameplan, he stated "Its gonna be a long road ahead. Changes need to be made in every corner of the organization and I intend to put this team back on top. We must find a leader that will continue the legacy Tom Brady left behind. Its gonna be challenging, but I have always been fond of challenges."
