The Colts got off to a bad start to start this season off as they put a goose egg on the board vs the Jaguars losing 27-0. Here's the funny thing, the defense played great allowing only 201 yards gained. They forced 2 turnovers, one was on the goal line as MLB B. Smith punched the ball out on the 1 yard line. Smith also has 1.5 sacks. As a team they combined to get plenty of pressure on Trevor Lawrence getting a total of 6 sacks. Qb Anthony Richardson struggled to complete a pass....... HE OVER THREW SCREEN PASSES TO THE RUNNING BACK! Richardson went 7-24 with 3 interceptions. It's very early but a division loss hurts a little more, changes will be made.
The Indianapolis Colts have fired the offensive coordinator last week after a terrible season. The new offensive coordinator came in and had a balance game plan that the team executed perfectly. This team played the spoiler to the Pittsburgh Steelers, as they won the game 28-18. The important part about this was it was the first time all season that the Colts didn't commit one turnover. Anthony Richardson had a perfect passer rating of 158.3 going 10-12 with 220 yards passing and 2 touchdowns with 0 turnovers. The new offensive coordinator has a few championships under his belt from early on in his career. Let's see if he can recreate the magic he had back in the day. Coach Robinson said he's waiting on the off-season to improve this team and compete for the AFC South. The message from the Colts front office is simple WE ARE COMING!!!
After winning 4 straight games and going 4-7 the Colts have dropped their last two games with terrible decision making by the coach for calling too many pass plays. The young qb Anthony Richardson is missing open receivers and throwing too many interception. The last two games the signal caller has thrown 12 interceptions and sacked 10 times. While struggling on offense the young defense had some terrible performance the last two games. They have allowed over 200 yards on the ground from King Henry and over 200 yards receiving from Jamar Chase. This team all together has been terrible these last two games, but the coach said next year will be better as this is his rookie season also.
After starting 0-7 and the team couldn't stop anybody on defense, the Indianapolis Colts have went on a 3 game winning streak. The Colts looked like they would have a top 5 pick in the draft decided to trade that pick away for some young talent that showed up huge in the first game with the Colts. Middle linebacker B.Smith had 4 tackles, 2 sacks, and a pick 6 in his first game as a Colt. We are happy with his play in his first game. In a division where it looks like the Colts can make a run we will see if they can become a contender for a playoff spot. Only time will tell!
