HC/GM Chris Collett seen throwing chairs in Bronco locker room

Inside sources say Chris was seen throwing chairs during a post-practice team meeting in Denver's locker room. The source only caught a passing glance as the doors shut quickly for this team-only meeting. The question is whether this was a motivational "get fired-up" speech, or if this in reaction to the unbelievably poor performance of his entire team in their loss to the chiefs last week. Sources say he may have been reacting to the laughing and joking going on during practice. He wanted to see anger, disgust, focus, and determination as a result of their last showing. So was this a calculated motivating culture build opportunity, or was this a HC/GM losing his mind because he has the temperament of a toddler. Time shall tell.

Broncos expect more up and down moments in rebuild stage

GM Chris Collett was hired to bring home championships, and the Broncos were far from it when he took over at the end of last season.  It appears his bold offseason strategy is starting to show promise. He came in after negotiations failed with Denver's young stud QB drew lock, and as a result he chose to tag him. This allowed Chris to le the draft come to him. The dynamic QB Russ Lovell fell to him, and he didn't hesitate regardless of the franchise tag he just dolled out on Lock. Then, with the season looming, he traded away Lock. This was a brutal hit against Denver's cap; however, it was a message to the mile high city: "We've got a plan."

After the loss to the mighty bears the plan seems to be unfolding. There wasn't a magic bullet to get Denver into the highest echelon of teams, but the rebuild shows the promise of going you and developing guys that can be real difference makers. There are some ups and downs. Some great plays and a real bone-headed, game-ending pick-6..... but everything is moving forward.

Denver will be a sold team, a real contender.... in 2-3 seasons. The O-line is still a mess of older free agents, they need a difference maker in the secondary, and one more offensive weapon that can challenge the middle of the field (either a power back or TE). All in all, things are moving in the right direction.

New Broncos GM takes first L against the rolling Chargers

The Chargers and Broncos met at Mile High Stadium for a duel of teams on the far end of the win/loss spectrum. LA came in at 12-1 and Denver at 3-12. The new GM (Chris) started with the ball and drove right down the field, taking it inside the 5. As the story of this game goes, he could just not punch it in. After a failed 4th and 1 from the 4 the Chargers picked up and just took it to the house. This pattern continued, TD's for the Chargers and FG's for the Broncos. The game got interesting for a minute after a late-game surge turned the game into only an 8 point affair. A slant in the end zone brought the Broncos to within 2, and a pass in the flatt to Le'veon Bell tied the game with a 2-point conversion.

Alas, the Chargers were not to be stopped. They took the ball down and scored another TD, and the Broncos were not able to match. The game ended quietly. The Chargers are now starring down a scope, the Lombardi in the cross-hairs.
