AML M21 S2 - End of the Season predictions

End of the Season Prediction M21 Season 2

This is more of a predict the end of the season article. Next season i will post a “real” Season prediction.

So here we go…

Clear favourites for the SB win are the 13-0 and last season's champion New Orleans Saints. It gets a lot harder to predict the other 13 teams that compete in the playoffs.

I’ll start with the AFC:
In the AFC we have the Chargers in the #1 seed with a current record of 12-1. I predict them to finish 15-1 if they don't make any mistakes. One team that could bring the #1 seed to fall could be the #3 Patriots. Keep a close eye on this matchup.

In #2 seed we have the Ravens, who have a current record of 11-2. Last seasons SB loser had a good season so far. Only small hick ups vs the current #1 seed (10-13) and the Lions (23-24). I expect them to finish 14-2 and secure the #2 seed.

Currently in the #3 seed we have the Patriots. The patriots had an overall decent season and are currently standing at 8-4. I predict them to finish with the #4 seed and an overall record of 11-5. As mentioned before they do have to face the #1 seed in their last 3 games.

As of right now in the #4 seed we have the Titans. I expect them to finish in the #3 seed but they definitely have a couple of tough games coming up. The Titans have to face the 49ers, Colts, Cardinals and Bills. I expect them to finish with a record of 12-4.

Currently in #5 seed we have the Bengals. In my prediction they will finish in 6th position and an overall record of 10-6. They should be able to win two out of their last three games.

In #6 seed we currently have the Raiders. First of all I want to congratulate the proud father! Even if they lose their last 4 games, they could very well still be in the playoffs. So hopefully the proud father will be back in time for the playoffs to make a run for the SB.

Last but not least we currently have the Texans in the #7 seed. The Texans should be able to finish the season with 3 wins out of 4 games. Which would put them in the #5 seed with a record of 10-6.

NFC:
As mentioned above, the current SB Champion is the favorit for this season as well. The Saints are currently undefeated in their first 2 seasons of AML. They should finish this season unbeaten again. Maybe someone can challenge the saints in the playoff with a surprise upset. We’ll see!

Currently we have the Rams in the #2 seed. After a tough schedule and a bad run of form the Rams lost 2 out of the last 3 games and the game they won vs 49ers was a very very close game with the lead switching 3-4 times in the last 2 (!) minutes of the game. Additionally to that the schedule doesn’t get much easier for the Rams. They have to face the Cardinals(9-3), Bears(8-5) and Giants(4-9). I expect them to still finish with a strong record of 11-5. They will finish in the #6 seed unless they can end their poor run of form against the Cardinals. A win vs Cardinals would give the Rams the Division lead and the #2 seed.

In #3 we currently have the Bears. They started the season with a record of 8-5 and i predict them to finish 1st in their division with a record of 9-7.  The Bears also have a very tough end to the season, they have to face the Seahawks, Rams and Lions. All three games will be very fun to watch and very competitive!

In the #4 we have the Football Team. They are currently sitting at a record of 7-5. WFT did not secure their 1st spot in their division yet. They still have to fight off the 5-8 Eagles, who they face in week 15. I expect them to finish 10-6 and in the #3 seed of the NFC.

Currently we have the Cardinals in the #5 seed. I might be a bit biased here (Cardinals user) but Arizona improved a lot compared to last season where they missed out on the playoffs in week 17. This time the Cardinals will finish first in their division after an important win vs the Rams. They will finish with a record of 12-4 in the #2 seed. As said before the division lead will be decided in the Rams vs Cardinals game in week 15. The Cardinals will have to face the Panthers, Rams, Titans and Texans. I expect them to win 3 out of 4 games but we will see what the future holds.

In the #6 seed we currently have the Buccaneers. As the 2nd team in the NFC South they have a good shot at clinching the playoffs this season. They currently have a record of 7-6 and i expect them to finish with a record of 9-7, which would give the Buccaneers the #7 seed.

In #7 we have the Seahawks. After an interesting start to the season the Seahawks are in a really good form, winning 4 out of the last 5 games. Worth mentioning, they beat the rams twice! I expect them to finish in the #5 seed with a record of 11-5. They have one of the easier end of the seasons compared to the other top runners in the NFC but they shouldnt underestimate their Opponents. They have to face the Bears, 49ers and Jaguars.

Wildcard week:

AFC:
Texans - Patriots (Win Patriots)
Bengals - Titans (Win Titans)
Raiders - Ravens (Win Ravens)

NFC:
Seahawks - Bears (Win Seahawks)
Rams - WFT (Win Rams)
Buccaneers - Cardinals (Win Cardinals)

Divisional Playoffs:

AFC:
Titans - Ravens (Win Ravens)
Patriots - Chargers (Win Chargers)

NFC:
Seahawks - Cardinals (Win Cardinals)
Rams - Saints (Win Saints)

Championship Games:

AFC:
Ravens - Chargers (Win Chargers)

NFC:
Cardinals - Saints (Win Saints)

Superbowl:

Saints - Chargers (Win Saints)

That concludes my last couple weeks and playoff prediction. A lot could change in the last couple games, especially in the NFC (west).
