Season 90 - Mock Draft #2

Hello everyone,
The 2nd edition of season 90 mock draft is upcoming. We move from 5 to 10 picks
1. New Orleans Saints
· Team Needs: QB, DE, DT, FS, SS, WR ,TE
· Madden Projected Pick: QB – Zach Underwood
· My Projected Pick: QB – Zach Underwood
· Thoughts: The Saints went from pick #3 to pick #1. Thus currently securing the best QB in the draft. Will we get some new ownership before the draft? We hope.
2. Seattle Seahawks
· Team Needs: QB, DE, DT, OLB, SS
· Madden Projected Pick: OLB – Daniel Beasley
· My Projected Pick: QB – Ted Thurston
· Thoughts: Seahawks need a new QB. If a new owner comes in, no way they go OLB over a QB.
3. San Francisco 49ers
· Team Needs: HB?, DE, OLB, CB, FS, OT x 2, OG
· Madden Projected Pick: OT – Jesse Curtis
· My Projected Pick: OT – Jesse Curtis
· Thoughts: Same as mock draft 1
4. Cincinnati Bengals
· Team Needs: HB?, DE, DT?, OLB, TE, OG
· Madden Projected Pick: WR – Matt Mathis
· My Projected Pick: OLB – Tony Thurston
· Thoughts: Speaking from experience, grabbing a WR when you don’t need one is a fun thing to do. But, this early in to the cycle while having 2 really good WRs that are still very young, seems like it’s wasted. So, stick to the OLB
5. Cincinnati Bengals
· Team Needs: HB?, DE, DT?, OLB, TE, OG
· Madden Projected Pick: ROLB – Tony Thurston
· My Projected Pick: - ROLB – Tony Thurston
· Thoughts: The Bengals would love to get a true 4-3 OLB, but with another 21 year old high potential player here, I think the Bengals do go with the Madden projected pick
5. Washington Commanders
· Team Needs: DE, MLB, OLB, CB, OG, OT
· Madden Projected Pick: DE – Marcus Overstreet
· My Projected Pick: - DE – Marcus Overstreet
· Thoughts: I can see a sneaky CB or WR pick here, but if I’m going based on actual needs, I’ll see them looking at 43 pass rusher. 6’5” Speed Rusher Overstreet fits the bill.
6. Indianapolis Colts
· Team Needs: OLB, MLB, CB, TE?
· Madden Projected Pick: MLB – James Barnett
· My Projected Pick: OLB – Max Alexander
· Thoughts: Colts have a division with currently: Thomas, Davis, Kirk. Dell, Collins, Metchie/Brown. D Hop, Ridley, Boyd/Burks. CB might be better play. But, they need a LBer badly.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers
· Team Needs: HB, CB, S, WR, OG
· Madden Projected Pick: OLB – Max Alexander
· My Projected Pick: CB – George Gilchrist
· Thoughts: This could very well be the spot where we see the first HB off the board. The Steelers were shopping both rostered HBs during the season, not being able to move either. But, instead, we don’t make it out of the top 10 without a CB being taken. With drills being extremely tough for corners this cycle, will this be the first ‘bust’ of a CB that gets taken high and doesn’t reach All Pro status? I doubt it.
8. Chicago Bears
· Team Needs: DT, FS, C?, OG
· Madden Projected Pick: OLB – Jalen Hankins
· My Projected Pick: DT – Marcus WItherspoon
· Thoughts: While the have improved 5 ypg on defense for rushing… It’s still dead last.
9. Las Vegas Raiders
· Team Needs: QB, HB, DE, OLB, MLB, CB?, C, OG, OT
· Madden Projected Pick: CB – George Gilchrist
· My Projected Pick: QB – Ted Thurston
· Thoughts: They dropped out of the Underwood campaign. Instead, they will settle for another good QB in Thurston.
10. Detroit Lions
· Team Needs: OLB, OG
· Madden Projected Pick: OLB – Shaq Davis
· My Projected Pick: OLB – Shaq Davis
· Thoughts: First, who doesn’t want a Shaq on their team? 2nd, the Lions are underperforming BUT I still think this is on one of the most talented teams in the league. I think they don’t need to push any position hard, but if they don’t make trades, look for them to get another OLB.
