Hello everyone,
While I will be doing my usual mock drafts this cycle, I wanted to try something out. I remember Kellys background history with QB Claxton, I remember Eikem’s mock draft having a personal touch… and it got me to thinking… why don’t I mix the two?
So, the purpose of this is I randomly picked 1 player out of every position except FB, K, and P. I had chatgpt generate a backstory for them. How this will work, is when I release my mock drafts, we are going to check in on these guys. Whos going up? Who’s going down? And Chatgpt will once again help me come up with the ‘reason why’ their draft stock is rising or falling. Did they have a good game? Completely shit the bed? Who knows. I’m not even sure how well this is going to turn out. We will try this out for season 90.
Without further ado… Let’s meet the rookies!!!
QB Dion Bullocks – 22 USC Round 3
Dion Bullocks grew up in the football-crazed town of Odessa, Texas, where the Friday night lights shine brightest. From a young age, he was surrounded by the sport, playing catch with his older brothers and watching old game tapes with his father, who was a high school coach. Dion's natural talent was evident early on, and by the time he reached high school, he was already being touted as the next big thing. Standing at 6'4" with a rocket arm and a cool demeanor under pressure, Dion quickly became the talk of the town as he led his team to back-to-back state championships.
His success in high school earned him a scholarship to USC, where he became the starting quarterback by his sophomore year. At USC, Dion honed his skills under the tutelage of seasoned coaches, leading the Trojans to a Pac-12 championship and a Rose Bowl victory in his junior year. Known for his ability to read defenses and make quick decisions, Dion was often compared to some of the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks. His leadership on and off the field made him a favorite among teammates and coaches, who praised his work ethic and calmness in clutch situations.
Despite his impressive college career, Dion’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. In his senior year, he suffered a shoulder injury that sidelined him for several games, raising concerns about his durability at the next level. However, Dion used this time to study the game even more intensely, working closely with his coaches and mentors to sharpen his mental approach. By the time the NFL Combine rolled around, Dion was back to full strength, showcasing his arm talent and athleticism, silencing any doubts about his health.
Now entering the NFL, Dion Bullocks is eager to prove himself on the biggest stage. With a chip on his shoulder and a point to prove, he’s determined to show that he can be the franchise quarterback every team dreams of. Many scouts believe he has all the tools to succeed in the pros—arm strength, intelligence, and the ability to perform in the clutch. The only question that remains is which team will give him the chance to shine.
HB Cole Sherels – 22 Day 3 Ferris State
Cole Sherels might not have come from a powerhouse football program, but his journey from Ferris State to the NFL has been defined by grit, determination, and an unrelenting work ethic. Growing up in the small town of Cadillac, Michigan, Cole was always an underdog. While his peers were focused on the bright lights of big-time college football, Cole stayed true to his roots, choosing to play at Ferris State, a Division II school. His decision wasn’t about the spotlight; it was about proving that talent and heart can shine from anywhere.
At Ferris State, Cole quickly became the heart and soul of the Bulldogs' offense. Despite facing teams with bigger, faster players, he consistently outperformed expectations, racking up impressive stats and leading his team deep into the playoffs. His ability to break tackles and his relentless motor made him a nightmare for opposing defenses. By his senior year, Cole had broken nearly every rushing record in school history, earning him All-American honors and putting him on the radar of NFL scouts.
However, being from a small school meant Cole had to work even harder to get noticed. While top prospects were getting all the attention, Cole was grinding away, perfecting his craft. His performance at the NFL Combine turned heads, as he posted a faster-than-expected 40-yard dash time and showcased his explosiveness in the drills. Still, many scouts see him as a potential sleeper pick—someone who could be a late-round gem with the right coaching and opportunity.
As the NFL Draft approaches, Cole Sherels is projected to be selected on Day 3, possibly in the fifth or sixth round. Despite the uncertainty, Cole is unfazed. He’s always been overlooked, and he knows how to make the most of every opportunity. For Cole, it’s not about where he gets drafted, but what he does once he gets there. He’s ready to prove that a kid from Ferris State can make it big in the NFL, and he’s determined to show every team that passed on him what they missed out on.
WR Earl Harrison – 23 Round 3-4 Mississippi State
Earl Harrison has always been a playmaker, a receiver who thrives when the stakes are highest. Growing up in Jackson, Mississippi, football was more than just a game; it was a way of life. Earl’s father, a former high school star, introduced him to the sport at a young age, and by the time Earl hit middle school, he was already a local legend. Known for his blazing speed and acrobatic catches, Earl quickly became a standout at his high school, leading his team to multiple state championships and catching the attention of college scouts across the country.
Earl chose to stay close to home, committing to Mississippi State, where he became a key part of the Bulldogs' offense. His freshman year was a learning experience, but by his sophomore season, Earl had established himself as one of the most reliable targets in the SEC. He earned a reputation as a clutch performer, consistently making big plays in crucial moments. His ability to stretch the field and make contested catches made him a favorite target for his quarterbacks, and by his senior year, he had become one of the top receivers in the conference.
Despite his success, Earl’s path to the NFL hasn’t been without its hurdles. Standing at 5’11” and 190 pounds, he doesn’t have the prototypical size of an NFL receiver, and some scouts have questioned his ability to handle the physicality of the next level. However, what Earl lacks in size, he more than makes up for with his work ethic, football IQ, and knack for making defenders miss after the catch. His impressive route-running and sure hands have drawn comparisons to some of the league’s top slot receivers, and his versatility makes him a potential steal in the middle rounds of the draft.
As the draft approaches, Earl Harrison is projected to go in the 3rd or 4th round, with several teams intrigued by his potential. He knows that his journey to the NFL won’t be easy, but that’s nothing new for him. Earl has always thrived as the underdog, and he’s ready to prove that he can not only make it in the NFL but become a key contributor for whichever team takes a chance on him. With his chip-on-the-shoulder mentality and relentless drive, Earl is determined to show that he belongs among the best, just like he’s done every step of the way.
TE Daniel Schmidt – 22 UDFA Texas
Daniel Schmidt is no stranger to adversity. Growing up in a small town outside of Austin, Texas, Daniel was always the kid who had to work harder than everyone else. Standing at 6’5” and weighing 250 pounds, he has the physical attributes that make coaches and scouts take notice, but his journey to college football wasn’t as straightforward as it might seem. Daniel was a late bloomer, only starting to excel in football during his junior year of high school. Before that, he was often overlooked, struggling to find his place on the field as he transitioned from basketball, where his height was an advantage, to the gridiron.
When he finally found his rhythm as a tight end, college programs began to take notice, but it was the University of Texas that gave him the opportunity to prove himself on a bigger stage. At Texas, Daniel was a reliable, if not flashy, contributor. He wasn’t the type of player who would rack up gaudy stats, but he made his presence felt in other ways—throwing key blocks, making tough catches in traffic, and becoming a go-to target in short-yardage situations. His coaches praised his football IQ and his willingness to do the dirty work, traits that made him a respected leader in the locker room.
Despite his contributions, Daniel’s college career didn’t come with the same accolades as some of his peers. He wasn’t the focal point of the offense, and his stats were modest, leading many NFL scouts to overlook him as a potential draft pick. Daniel knows the odds are against him, as he’s projected to go undrafted, but he’s not discouraged. For Daniel, it’s always been about proving people wrong and showing that he can contribute wherever he’s needed.
As the NFL Draft looms, Daniel Schmidt is preparing for the possibility of entering the league as an undrafted free agent. He’s ready to embrace the grind, knowing that his journey to the NFL won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. With his work ethic, versatility, and determination, Daniel is determined to make the most of whatever opportunity comes his way. Whether it’s on special teams, as a blocking tight end, or as a reliable red zone target, Daniel is confident he can carve out a role and show that he belongs in the NFL, just as he’s done at every step of his football journey.

Larry Hartman is the definition of a grinder, a player who has earned everything through sheer determination and hard work. Growing up in Miami’s tough Liberty City neighborhood, Larry’s path to football success was anything but easy. Surrounded by challenges both on and off the field, Larry found an escape in football, where his size and strength quickly set him apart. Even in high school, where he played both offensive and defensive line, Larry was known for his relentless motor and unyielding desire to protect his quarterback.
Despite his talent, Larry wasn’t heavily recruited out of high school. He received some interest from smaller programs, but his dream was always to play for the University of Miami, where he walked on and eventually earned a scholarship. At Miami, Larry worked his way up from the practice squad to a starting role at left tackle, becoming a cornerstone of the Hurricanes’ offensive line. Known for his physicality and tenacity, Larry took pride in his ability to neutralize even the fiercest pass rushers. His coaches often described him as the “glue” of the line, a player who brought toughness and leadership to the unit.
However, Larry’s college career was marked by ups and downs. While he was a solid and dependable presence on the line, he struggled with injuries that limited his playing time and kept him off the radar of many NFL scouts. His technique, while effective in college, was seen as needing refinement to succeed at the next level. As a result, Larry is projected to go undrafted, a reality that doesn’t surprise him but still fuels his competitive fire.
For Larry, the possibility of going undrafted is just another challenge to overcome. He’s been doubted before, and he’s used to proving people wrong. As the draft approaches, Larry is preparing for the grind of making an NFL roster as an undrafted free agent. He knows it won’t be easy, but he’s ready to bring the same work ethic and toughness that have defined his career so far. Whether it’s as a backup, on special teams, or even on the practice squad, Larry Hartman is determined to earn his spot and prove that he can protect NFL quarterbacks just as he did at Miami. His journey has never been easy, but that’s exactly how Larry likes it.

As a kid, he wasn’t the biggest or strongest on the field, but his love for the game and relentless drive made up for it. By the time he reached high school, Rashaun had transformed himself into a dominant force on the offensive line, catching the eye of college recruiters who saw his potential.
Rashaun’s path led him to the University of Missouri, where he earned a spot on the Tigers’ roster as a left guard. At Missouri, Rashaun quickly developed a reputation as a dependable and gritty player. He wasn’t the flashiest lineman, but his consistency and toughness in the trenches were unmatched. Known for his strong hands and ability to hold his ground against powerful defensive tackles, Rashaun became a reliable starter by his sophomore year, helping anchor the Tigers’ offensive line and protect the quarterback in one of the nation’s toughest conferences.
However, despite his solid play, Rashaun has faced his share of setbacks. Injuries plagued him during his junior and senior seasons, preventing him from showcasing his full potential. While he battled back each time, the missed games and limited exposure hurt his draft stock. Additionally, some scouts have expressed concerns about his ability to transition to the faster, more complex game at the NFL level, particularly in terms of his footwork and agility against elite pass rushers.
As the NFL Draft approaches, Rashaun is projected to go undrafted, a tough pill to swallow for someone who has worked so hard to reach this point. But Rashaun isn’t deterred. He’s been an underdog his entire life, and he’s ready to prove himself once again. He knows that his journey to the NFL will be challenging, but he’s prepared to take the road less traveled. Whether it’s earning a spot on a practice squad or fighting for a backup role, Rashaun is determined to keep grinding and seize any opportunity that comes his way.
For Rashaun Hail, the NFL isn’t just a dream—it’s a chance to show the world that resilience and hard work can overcome any obstacle. He’s ready to bring his toughness and dedication to the next level, proving that even an undrafted player can make a big impact in the league.

Anthony Ford has never followed the conventional path, and as the oldest rookie in his class at 24, his journey to the NFL is a testament to his unwavering determination. Growing up in Tucson, Arizona, Anthony was a late bloomer in the football world. He didn't even start playing the sport until his junior year of high school, after years of focusing on academics and other sports like wrestling and track. When he finally took up football, it was clear he had found his true calling. His natural strength, combined with his cerebral approach to the game, made him an ideal fit for the offensive line.
Despite his late start, Anthony earned a walk-on spot at the University of Arizona, where he quickly made an impression with his relentless work ethic and leadership qualities. By his sophomore year, he had earned a scholarship and secured the starting center position, becoming the anchor of the Wildcats' offensive line. Anthony's maturity and intelligence on the field were evident as he expertly called protections and adjustments, guiding his teammates and earning the respect of both coaches and peers.
Anthony's journey was far from smooth, though. His college career was interrupted by a series of injuries, and at one point, he even considered hanging up his cleats for good. But his love for the game and his desire to finish what he started kept him going. Anthony took advantage of his extra time in school, earning his degree while also rehabbing and refining his technique. His persistence paid off, and by the time he returned to the field, he was stronger and more determined than ever.
Now, at 24, Anthony Ford is entering the NFL Draft as the oldest rookie in his class. Projected to go undrafted, he’s well aware that the odds are against him. He brings a level of maturity and resilience that many younger players lack, and he’s ready to prove that his journey has prepared him for the rigors of professional football.
For Anthony, the draft is just another chapter in his story. Whether he’s picked up as an undrafted free agent or has to fight his way onto a practice squad, he’s ready to show that he belongs. His dream was to play at USC, the school he had idolized growing up, and he made that dream a reality.
At USC, Mack was part of a highly competitive environment, surrounded by some of the best talent in the country. Despite his solid contributions, Mack’s college career didn’t garner the same attention as some of his more high-profile teammates.
