AFC Playoff Scenarios, based on CURRENT standings. 

Please note, overall, I’m using the most SIMPLISTIC way each team could get in. In some cases, a team could lose a game in a scenario given but still make it. 

16. Detroit Lions – Eliminated.

15. New Orleans – Eliminated.

14. Seattle Seahawks – Eliminated.

13. Washington Commanders – Eliminated.

12. Green Bay Packers – Eliminated.

11. Arizona Cardinals – Eliminated.

10. Philadelphia Eagles

1. Win out AND Cowboys win week 17 and lose week 18 AND at least 2 of Buccaneers, Falcons, or Giants lose out. (note: this would result in at least a 4 way tie for #7 seed)

9. Dallas Cowboys

1. Win out AND 2 of Buccaneers, Falcons, and Giants lose at least 1.
2. Win 1 AND 2 of the AND 2 of Buccaneers, Falcons, and Giants lose out (note: this would result in at least 4-way tie for #7 seed)

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

1. WIN out
   1. AND Giants or Falcons lose at least 1.
   2. AND 9ers lose out.
2. Win 1
   1. AND Giants or Falcons lose out AND Cowboys lose at least 1.

7. Atlanta Falcons

1. Win out.
2. Win 1 AND Cowboys and Buccaneers lose at least 1.
3. Lose out AND Buccaneers lose out and Cowboys lose at least one.

6. New York Giants

1. Win out
2. Win 1 AND Cowboys lose at least one AND Falcons or Buccaneers lose at least one.
3. Lose out AND Buccaneers and Falcons lose out and the Cowboys lose at least one.

5. San Francisco 49ers

1. Win out earns division win (#3 seed)
2. Win 1
   1. AND Rams win week 18 earns #5 seed.
   2. AND Rams lose week 18 earns #3 seed.
3. Lose out
   1. AND 2 of the Falcons, Buccaneers, or Giants lose out AND Cowboys lose at least 1 earns #6 seed.
   2. AND either the Falcons, Buccaneers, or Giants lose out AND Cowboys lose at least 1 earns at least the #7 seed.

4. Los Angeles Rams

1. Win out
   1. AND 49ers lose at least 1 earns the division.
   2. AND 49ers win out earns #6 seed.
2. Lose out AND Falcons, Giants, or Buccaneers lose at least 1 game earns at least the #7 seed.

3. Minnesota Vikings

1. Win out
   1. AND Bears lose out earns division.
   2. AND Bears lose out AND Panthers lose AT least 1 earns the #1 seed.
2. Win 1 earns the #5 seed.
3. Lose out earns just a wildcard seed.

2. Carolina Panthers

1. Win out earns #2 seed
2. Win 1
   1. AND Vikings lose at least 1 earns #2 seed.
   2. AND Vikings win out
      1. AND 9ers or Rams win out would earn the division and the #3 or #4 seed.
   3. AND 9ers or Rams lose at least 1 would earn the #3 seed
3. Lose out
   1. AND Vikings lose out
      1. AND Rams or 49ers lose at least 1 earns #2 seed.
      2. AND Rams or 49ers earn 11 wins would result in a 3 way tie for #2 seed.
   2. AND Vikings win at least 1 game
      1. AND Rams or 49ers lose at least 1 games earns #3 seed.
      2. AND Rams or 49ers earn 11 wins would results in a tie for the #3 seed.

1. Chicago Bears

1. Win at least 1 game earns #1 seed.
2. Lose out
   1. AND Vikings win out earns them the # 5 seed.
   2. AND Vikings lose at least 1 game earns them the #1 seed.
