AFC Playoff Scenarios, based on CURRENT standings. 

Please note, overall, I’m using the most SIMPLISTIC way each team could get in. In some cases, a team could lose a game in a scenario given but still make it.  Of course right as I finish this, someone syncs DL.  Appreciate it. So, Chiefs and Chargers are behind.  I'm not fixing it.  

16. Houston Texans – Eliminated.

15. New England Patriots – Eliminated.

14. New York Jets – Eliminated.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers – Eliminated.

12. Baltimore Ravens – Eliminated.

11. Denver Broncos – Eliminated.

10. Las Vegas Raiders

  1. Win out AND
  1. Chargers, Colts, Bills/Dolphins lose out.  In this scenario, they would enter a 4-way tie scenario. Not a guarantee.
  2. Either Chargers, Colts, or Bills/Dolphins win one game, the rest lose out.  3-way tie scenario.  Not a guarantee.

9. Cincinnati Bengals

  1. Win out AND Raiders lose at least 1 AND
    1. Chargers, Colts, Bills/Dolphins lose out.  In this scenario, they would enter a 4-way tie scenario. Not a guarantee.
    2. Either Chargers, Colts, or Bills/Dolphins win one game, the rest lose out.  3-way tie scenario.  Not a guarantee.

8. Los Angeles Chargers

  1. Win out AND Bills, Colts, or Dolphins lose 1.
  2. Win 1 AND
    1. Bills or Dolphins lose 1.
    2. Colts lose out.  
  3. Lose out AND Bills or Dolphins lose out.

7. Indianapolis Colts

  1. Win out
  2. Win 1 AND Bills, Chargers, or Dolphins lose 1.
  3. Lose out and 2 of Chargers, Dolphins, and Bills lose out.

6. Buffalo Bills

  1. Win out AND
    1. Dolphins lose at least 1 (wins division).
    2. Colts or Chargers lose at least 1.
  2. Win 1 AND
    1. Dolphins lose out (win division)
    2. Colts or Chargers lose out
  3. Lose out AND Colts lose out

5. Miami Dolphins

  1. Win out (win division).
  2. Win 1 AND
    1. Bills lose out (win division).
    2. Colts or Chargers lose out.
  3. Lose out
    1. Bills lose out (should be a win division win).
    2. Colts lose out (playoff tie breaker, I believe)

4. Cleveland Browns – Won division.

  1. Win out earns #3 seed.
  2. Win 1 AND Dolphins or Bills lose 1 earns #3 seed
  3. Lose out and Bills AND Dolphins lose out, earns #3 seed

3. Jacksonville Jaguars – Clinched playoffs

  1. Win out earns #1 seed.
  2. Beat Titans AND lose to Chiefs
    1. Titans win week 18 earns #5 seed.
    2. Titans lose week 18, earns #2 seed
  3. Lose to the Titans earns #5 seed.

2. Tennessee Titans

  1. Wins out earns #1 seed.
  2. Beat Jaguars but lose to chiefs earns #2 seed.
  3. Beat Chiefs but lose to the Jaguars AND
    1. Jaguars win week 18 earns #5 seed.
    2. Jaguars lose week 18 earns #1 seed.
  4. Lose Out earns the #5 seed.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

  1. Win out earns #1 seed
  2. Lose to the Chargers AND beat the Titans
    1. Jaguars lose at least 1 earns #1 seed
    2. Jaguars win out earns #2 seed
  3. Lose to the Titans AND beat the Chargers
    1. Jaguars win out earns a 3 way tie breaker, should be #1 seed
    2. Jaguars lose to the Steelers earns the #2 seed
  4. Lose out earns #2 seed.
