Season 85 Mock Draft #3

Hello Everyone,
3rd Edition of my seasonal mock draft will feature the Dolphins at #1 and the top 15 picks (as of the mock draft, not sure if there has been any trades since this was made). Side note… I’m going to just keep the #1 pick for my mock draft as the same as the #1 pick for the Madden mock so you fuckers get no in sight… or do you?
1. Miami Dolphins
· Team Needs: LT, TE
· Madden Projected Pick: LT – Brady Barrett
· My Projected Pick: LT – Brady Barrett
· Thoughts: Madden
2. Minnesota Vikings
· Team Needs: QB?,CB, TE, RG
· Madden Projected Pick: QB – Cody Jackson
· My Projected Pick: CB – Troy Hopkins
· Thoughts: Cody Jackson could easily be the pick here, but Watson looks like he’s improving somehow. They only have 1 stud CB, think it might be there.
3. Kansas City Chiefs
· Team Needs: HB, CB, LG, RG
· Madden Projected Pick: FB – Jimmy Tovar
· My Projected Pick: CB – Matthew Burton
· Thoughts: I’ll say the Chiefs go the other CB. But, nothing would make me laugh harder than an auto pick here and having a 1st round FB. I’ve had it happen to me.
5. Cincinnati Bengals
· Team Needs: RE, LT, C, RG
· Madden Projected Pick: HB – Jonathan Allen
· My Projected Pick: RT – Corey McKinney
· Thoughts: I know a top 5 pick being not a userable player isn’t fun. But he’s the best OT in the draft.
5. Green Bay Packers
· Team Needs: FS, TE, LG, RT
· Madden Projected Pick: RT – Ben Dodson
· My Projected Pick: - RT – Kyree Stanley
· Thoughts: Any offensive linemen will go here. I just took the next highest RT.
6. New England Patriots
· Team Needs: HB, RE, CB, WR, LT, RG
· Madden Projected Pick: CB – Matthew Burton
· My Projected Pick: WR – Kevin Wheldon
· Thoughts: I’ll go shiny WR this time.
7. Las Vegas Raiders
· Team Needs: CB?, FS, TE?, WHOLE OLINE
· Madden Projected Pick: CB – Troy Hopkins
· My Projected Pick: LT – Aaron Boykin
· Thoughts: Just… I’ve just never seen an OLINE this much a need.
8. New England Patriots
· Team Needs: HB, RE, CB, WR, LT, RG
· Madden Projected Pick: CB – Matthew Burton
· My Projected Pick: RG – Kevin Stanely
· Thoughts: Get the OL
9. Dallas Cowboys
· Team Needs: LE, ROLB?, SS, C, RT
· Madden Projected Pick: WR – Kevin Weldon
· My Projected Pick: ROLB – Derek Thomas
· Thoughts: Future DROY?
10. Pittsburgh Steelers
· Team Needs: LE, ROLB, CB, Oline depth
· Madden Projected Pick: RE – Kaseem Wallace
· My Projected Pick: RE – Kaseem Wallace
· Thoughts: I think Madden gets it right, here.
11. Dallas Cowboys
· Team Needs: LE, ROLB?, SS, C, RT
· Madden Projected Pick: LOLB – Bobby Day
· My Projected Pick: SS – Duane Kendricks
· Thoughts: I think Cowboys might address the OL here, but I think putting another young player on the defense to start might be a good idea.
12. Baltimore Ravens
· Team Needs: LE, DT, LOLB, ROLB, OL - C
· Madden Projected Pick: RT – Kyree Stanley
· My Projected Pick: LOLB – Jamaal Jett
· Thoughts: I think anything in the front 7 will be a pick but I think Jett should be it.
13. Cleveland Browns
· Team Needs: QB, LE, DT, ROLB, FS, WRish, C, RT
· Madden Projected Pick: CB – Max Pointer
· My Projected Pick: QB – Cody Jackson
· Thoughts: Browns have been actively talking to any QB that would be willing to come there. So, why not do what Cleveland QBs do. Force the hand.
14. Detroit Lions
· Team Needs: QB?, RE, WR
· Madden Projected Pick: ROLB – Mason Hendricks
· My Projected Pick: QB – Devon Claxton
· Thoughts: Maybe the Lions don’t want a top 5 QB. I don’t know. But can’t go wrong with one.
15. Pittsburgh Steelers
· Team Needs: LE, ROLB, CB, Oline depth
· Madden Projected Pick: LOLB – Austin Craig
· My Projected Pick: CB – Max Pointer
· Thoughts: Pittsburgh goes to Pittsburgh. What a feel good story.
