Season 85 Mock Draft #2

Hello Everyone,

              I know I’m a few weeks behind the original date of mock 2, but school was hectic.  But, here is the currently mock draft for season 85.

 

1.       Kansas City Chiefs

·             Team Needs: HB, CB, LG, RG

·             Madden Projected Pick: CB – Matthew Burton

·             My Projected Pick: CB – Matthew Burton

·             Thoughts:  I currently don’t have the details on why the Chiefs have the #1 pick, I’m sure I’ll be told it if someone does read this.  With only 1 elite CB, no chance a guard goes #1, it come down to either trading the pick away OR keeping it and taking one of the two elite CBs.  I’ll go Burton for now.

2.       Miami Dolphins

·             Team Needs:  TE, LT

·             Madden Projected Pick: LT – Brady Barrett

·             My Projected Pick: LT – Brady Barrett

·             Thoughts: Armstead is aging. It may not be the sexy pick, but fuck… watching my OL get wrecked….

3.       Minnesota Vikings

·             Team Needs: LE, CB, TE, RG

·             Madden Projected Pick: QB – Cody Jackson

·             My Projected Pick: CB – Troy Hopkins

·             Thoughts: Again… how… are these top tier teams picking in the top 3?  Sigh, BPA. Def not taking a QB if hes sticking with Watson

4.       Pittsburgh Steelers

·             Team Needs: LE, ROLB, CB, Oline depth

·             Madden Projected Pick: RT – Corey McKinney

·             My Projected Pick: ROLB – Deker Thomas

·             Thoughts: Am I the only bad team here picking in the top 5? Another BPA

5.       Cincinnati Bengals

·             Team Needs: RE, LT, C, RG

·             Madden Projected Pick: RE – Reid * * *  

·             My Projected Pick: RE – Kaseem Wallace

·             Thoughts: Reid Ass or * * * might be a good pick. I’m not sure what Madden sees in him, but safer pick is Wallace.

6.       New England Patriots

·             Team Needs: HB, RE, CB, WR, LT, RG

·             Madden Projected Pick: ROLB – Derek Thomas

·             My Projected Pick: RT – Corey McKinney

·             Thoughts: Need some OL help. Or you can go the shiny pick and grab the WR.

7.       Dallas Cowboys

·             Team Needs: LE, ROLB?, SS, C, RT

·             Madden Projected Pick: LT – Aaron Boykin

·             My Projected Pick: LT – Aaron Boykin

·             Thoughts: Top 5 OL.  Cowboys have 2 picks in the top 5 and could fill the last need. Going to just stick with this one.

8.       Cleveland Browns

·             Team Needs: QB, LE, DT, ROLB, FS, WRish, C, RT

·             Madden Projected Pick: RT – Kyree Stanley

·             My Projected Pick: QB – Devon Claxton

·             Thoughts: I don’t know how this team has so many perceived holes.  But, I think the first hole that gets filled is QB and take the Strong Arm QB.

9.       Los Angeles Rams

·             Team Needs: DT, ROLB, CB, FS, WR ish, TE, C

·             Madden Projected Pick: MLB – Duke Hatchett

·             My Projected Pick: ROLB – Mason Hendricks

·             Thoughts: Mason looks 75 years old, but could be a good start for the Rams.  You could go in many places with this pick.

10.       Arizona Cardinals

·             Team Needs: DT, CB ish, LT

·             Madden Projected Pick: HB – Kaseem Wallace

·             My Projected Pick: CB – Max Pointer

·             Thoughts: Cardinals don’t have a blaring hole at CB, but no one is a cornerstone.  Can potentially get one for the remainder of the cycle.
