Team Overall Comparison from Season 83-84

Season 83 has come and gone and now we have blown through the free agency period. The draft is on its final countdown and teams are chomping at the bit to get their hands on the future of their franchise. The draft is always the most exciting part of the league, but free agency is where teams can be made or broken. We saw teams with a lower overall do well during the season and some of the best teams struggle. Astin posted team overall rankings after free agency ended and got me thinking about how that compares to where they started? Did those teams improve or did they just blow it up? Well let us take a look at all 32 teams and how they did.

 

As we can see there were some heavy hitters in free agency while other teams were struggling. Yes, cap played a huge part as teams were just trying to balance filling a roster while others had the cap to pay top dollar for the big names. It will be interesting to see after this season where teams fall in comparison. Hopefully this change in overall will help teams become more competitive while making those high powered teams a bit less dominant. Only time will tell. Until then let us all sweat it out in hopes our picks fall to us!!
