Let’s get this out of the way, nice to meet you coach. You were a late addition after the former Rams coach was let go for an incident of smoking crack and falling asleep naked on the Hollywood walk of fame… can we count on that not happening to you?

Absolutely not. I plan on staying here for as long as I can.

What attracted you to join a league like the Redzone?

The challenge and the chance of growth. This league seems like it’s the exact place I want to be.

What is a little you want to share about yourself?

Monkeys are the best animals in the world and nobody can say different.

Why should Rams fans be excited you are coming to a historically good organization?

Even though I’m a young coach and very unproven, but that means I have a lot to prove. I have the heart and the dedication for this franchise and I just hope that the fans will back me.

What is the long term plan with offense and specifically the Quarterback position?

Simple answer is grow. As of now going into the season we plan on keeping Matt for at least the remainder of this season. Him and I sat down and had a meeting today about his role and he seemed to understand and agree with me. He’s not sure how much longer he will be in the league so we’ll have to roll with the waves and see what happens.

How do you see your ideal defensive identity being formed and what is that?

Truthfully. I’m not the most defensive coach. But that’s something I plan on working on and growing for this season and hopefully the ones to come.

What type of GM can Rams fans expect? One that plays if safe, one that is aggressive, or somewhere in between?

I would like to say one in between. There’s always a time and a place and that’s what I always try to do. Make sure the situation is right.

What are you expectations for the Rams this season?

This season we’re just expecting to win some games. Hopefully we can land in the middle of the pack and maybe end some seasons with some upsets. We know we’re going to be slept on. From a team and a coach perspective. But that’s only been driving myself and the players also.

Stay tuned soon for part 5!
