Ranking The Chances For First Time Champions 18-16

Number 18 Coach Atom New York Jets

Let’s start with last cycle, Atom came in and did some pretty good things for being a new guy. It was rough early on, I remember playing him and just watching him run around the field on defense with no rhyme or reason to his movements at all. Fast forward a little bit he won double digit games and even managed to make the playoffs at least once. The reason I have him ranked this low is because of the team he has chosen to take over for the cycle. First Fuck The JETS, they are L-O-S-E-R-S but putting all of that aside this is a much tougher build. He got that Falcons team from someone in IJ who had put the Quarterback in place and drafted some nice players for him to come into. This Jets job is going to be much harder than that. The Jets lost out on getting a superstar wide out this offseason even though they were in the Tyreek Hill mix so that is one less weapon on pretty much a weaponless team as it stands. Zach Wilson did Atom no favors with the way he played last year so I doubt he is going to be rated all that high and won’t have a good development trait either. Atom could make some noise later in the cycle if he plays his cards better than his predecessor we covered in number 21. A couple of nice offensive line pieces and Big Q is still in New York despite Robo trying to trade him to Adel (again) without even being employed by the team anymore. I do not see a lot of chances that the Jets make it out of this cycle winning anything of note. However, if they do it will be on the back of a totally revamped defense and a new starting cast around the Milf Hunter.

Number 17 Coach Eikim Las Vegas Raiders

This team has a lot to like about it early. When you get a top receiver like Devante Adams and add it to the cast Derek Carr already had surrounding him it is usually a chance someone is going to jump at. Coach Bubba “Eikim” Bitz rolls into this cycle fresh off of returning from a previous retirement. It was clear when he took over the Giants last cycle they were in rebuild and so was the coach. Eikim has never been a world beater but I expect he will give us some better results than we saw with the team in New York. He drafted well when he came back and that will be a key to get some of these aging Raiders out and replace them with rookie level salaries to keep this football team good for the foreseeable future. Now Eikim and I have played in a division together in the past, I have seen him adjust and lean on things he does well. The question is with a loaded division, Ramesu and Moji both in his division is he going to be able to get past those guys this cycle to make this deep run and claim his first championship? The betting money would go away from that but throw a little bit of change on your Uncle Mike and let it ride, am I right? Personally I wouldn’t put my life savings on it… but Beech won a superbowl once upon a time so anything can happen. Right? I almost forgot to mention Darren Waller, that guy is good. If Eikim can be a competent passer this team will be a lot of fun to watch.

Number 16 Coach Tiko Brown Dallas Cowboys

Have I shocked you yet? If I had not done it already I am going to do so now. I do not think this Cowboys team is the same one some of the other users have had over the last couple of cycles. The offensive line is really in a state of rebuild, most of the weapons have either left or are starting to creep towards the wrong side of thirty. Plus, the tape that Tiko has put out to the rest of the league the last couple of years is not reminiscent of the guy who played Adel in a superbowl his first season here, and somehow has yet to return after all this time. I personally think the Commanders, Giants, and Eagles stand to play a bigger part in this division than most of our pundits would care to admit. Outside of Diggs and Parsons on the defensive side its hole after hole waiting to be patched. Dak is being paid like a top flight Quarterback and I am waiting for the inevitable fall out that he and Coach Brown are going to have. Poor Dak cannot seem to find anyone that wants him outside of the CPU Broncos and their stacked Quarterback room from a year ago. Finding our way back to Coach Brown he found a way to underachieve with that Rams roster big time. Dallas may make the playoffs a few times this cycle but I feel it is nothing more than a formality as some of these other up and comers on my list will use Tiko as a stepping stone to get their dreams of NFC supremacy.

Thanks for reading check back for 13-15 tomorrow.
