Dallas Cowboys |
Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa |
70 |
The cowboys do not miss normally on offensive linemen, but they may have this time. Tulsa was no leader in offensive category, and Smith was not the best standout in the combine. With only 73 RBP, 76 RBF, 76 PBP, and 68 PBF there may be hope. However, I do not believe that he has the ability to develop into a top teir guy. Servicable until a better replacement pops up. |

Baltimore Ravens (from Bills) |
Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa |
74 |
There are a few things guarateed in this world. Death, Taxes, and Iowa producing more offensive linemen. With such a tough group of guys on that Iowa team it is no surprise that Linderbaum got chosen by Baltimore. Baltimore had to help sure up the line to protect their generational qb. Linderbaum is an excellent zone run blocker with 81 rbf and 78 pbf. This guy will be one of the best centers to come up and will be top 5 by end of cycle. Hopefully coach Fox does it right and doesn't ruin this talent. |

New York Jets (from Titans) |
Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State |
74 |
Hopefully Johnson does not have a good looking mom and makes Wilson mad. All jokes aside Johnson is going to be a problem off the edge for New York. 85 speed mixed with 73 pmv, 71 fmv coupled with 77 Block shed allows him to be a problem day 1. Possible the only bright spot out of Florida State this past year, Johnson will record a 12 sack season and be a very good DE in this league. |

27 |
Jacksonville Jaguars (from Buccaneers) |
Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah |
73 |
A pure field general out of Utah not many will be able to go up the middle against Lloyd. 78 tackle mixed with 91 block shed means he will stop anybody at the second level. Not the fastest guy, but with 84 speed he will be able to pursue enough. The question becomes will his inability to cover hinder his progress? He will finish middle of the road in stats if he gets the start in Jacksonville. |

Green Bay Packers |
Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia |
73 |
The packers continue to not help bring in any weapons for the offense. It seems they are going to rely on the defense and Jones to control the clock. Wyatt is another bulldog who helped Georgia secure the best defense in the nation. Rough around the edges he has the potential to become a decent rusher. Clark will demand double teams while those OLB for Green Bay will have to be kept watch as well. 65 pmv and 73 fmv paired with 78 bsh will help win some match ups, but will not be enough against top end guards/tackles. Luckily the offensive lines are not super great in the NFC North. He should get his 8 sacks this season. |

29 |
New England Patriots (from Chiefs 49ers via Dolphins) |
Cole Strange, G, UT-Chattanooga |
70 |
A decendant of doctor strange, Cole will need to work his magic to help show that this pick was worth it. Nobody questions what New England does normally, but this one left us all scratching our heads. 70 rbp, 76 rbf, 67 pbp, 71pbf is something to watch. A good zone scheme guard is hard to find yet the numbers are not overwhelming. This is a future projection where Cole could turn into a good guard in a few years. Do not look forward to him making pancake blocks right off the bat. Coach Theo has his work cut out for him on development of this guy. |

Kansas City Chiefs |
George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue |
74 |
KC has needed to help the offense by upgrading on the defensive side. With Jones demanding double teams, Karlaftis should be able to shine in the 1 on 1 battles. 74 fmv, 78 pmv mixed with 75 block shed should enable him to come flying off the edge. He managed to wreck tackles in the big ten and looks poised to do the same here in the NFL. He may not have talent level of those on top of the board, but should be an excellent rusher due to the system. |

31 |
Cincinnati Bengals |
Daxton Hill, S, Michigan |
75 |
Hill helps the bengals prepare for the departure of Bates. A solid defender in Michigan, Hill helped capitalize on mistakes from qbs due to pressure. With 74 man and 71 zone Hill will help cover anything over the top. Do not look for Hill to lay many big hits, but he will surprise some with 78 hit power. Hill will be an above average safety in this league. |

32 |
Minnesota Vikings (from Lions via Rams) |
Lewis Cine, S, Georgia |
75 |
Cine is another bulldog taken in the first round. The hammer in the secondary for the bulldogs will translate well into the NFL. With 89 hit power and unexpecting soul will regret coming across the middle. With Harrison Smith on the other side the vikings are positioned to create a tough defensive secondary. |
