Offseason Review

When sitting down to write this article, a few things occurred to me.

I am terrible at writing any sort of paper regardless of what it is for.
My grammar is God awful.
My opinion does not really matter on any of this.

Regardless of how terribly written this is, or how much my opinion really matters I figured why not poke fun, praise the moves made while downgrading King John at any point I can. So, without further ado I present to you a review of the moves made via trade and free agency by each team with a small review from my perspective. (Editor’s Notes: All free agent signings were looked at down to 80 overall.)

Please note that the grades off to the side are gauged off how well the signings will help overall.

Great pickups which will help the team win games this season.
Pickups are upgrades and could help win a few games.
No pickups or it did not matter due to team set up.
Not great pickup and will not contribute to any success.

Team	Arizona Cardinals	B-
Key Additions	Xavien Howard CB, Alvin Kamara RB,
Review	Spence made progress with Murray, but the inconsistency has been something that will be a problem. Kamara is good, but it does not guarantee that he will succeed. However, even when the season looked lost, he pulled it out. Hopefully the cap of Kamara and Howard doesn’t hurt to bad. The big thing is improving the 23rd ranked offense overall with the 92.1 rushing yards per game.

Key Additions	Trey Sermon RB, Marlon Humphrey CB, Trovon Conley DE,
Review	When evaluating the pickups from Adam it is very interesting. He did make moves to improve the defense which was 29th in scoring defense and 25th in rush defense. He also made a move at RB to improve the rushing game which was 18th in the league. Overall, the moves should help and now he just needs to improve the decision making overall.
Team	Baltimore Ravens	C
Key Additions
Review	There were no key additions to the team overall which is fine for Adel. It was not for the lack of effort for I hear he was out in those DM's trying to get every big-name player like normal. The issue I see is if Lamar ever goes down so does his season. If he continues to utilize Lamar like he did and maintains the 1st overall rushing offense, then he should be just fine. Personally, I hope that Lamar is out for season come preseason, but that is just me.
Team	Buffalo Bills	B
Key Additions	Antonio Gibson RB, Kenneth Gainwell RB,
Review	No matter who you talked to, or if it was Rfox himself, his rush game did not exist, and he accepted that. With a passing attack like his it doesn't matter if you can run. However, teams are going to adjust, and I am not sure if he can keep up with it over time. Improving that running game should help give another deminsion which will help keep people honest.
Team	Carolina Panthers	A
Key Additions
Review	No splashy moves here, but that is ok. The defense carries this team while the offense does enough. Not much to say here except it doesn't matter what he does he will be fine.
Team	Chicago Bears	F
Key Additions
Review	There were plenty of opportunities for JP to improve the team overall. Defense was never there all season and ranked 32nd in the league. I do not believe Roguan deserves to die here in purgatory.
Team	Cincinnati Bengals	C
Key Additions	Montex Sweat DE,
Review	Top 4 defense in PPG and 3rd in yards allowed gains a pass rusher which they were missing. Moji has done more with worse so not worried.
Team	Cleveland Browns	C
Key Additions
Review	No key additions here that were note worthy. Holes needed filled and that was what was done. Overall, having a very talented roster we just need LV to stop sucking on the sticks so much and blowing leads if he hopes to make the playoffs again.
Team	Dallas Cowboys	B+
Key Additions	Juju Smith-Shuster WR, JC Tretter C, Pat being invested again.
Review	It does not matter what signings happened if Pat was golfing and not caring. However, adding to that receiver core, and protecting that QB, Pat may be able to continue to build on what he did last year.
Team	Denver Broncos	F
Key Additions	Dak Prescott
Review	The broncos have the chance to get 3rd in the division based off how much craftopia BM plays this season. Dak will be better than Teddy. The scary part of that is Teddy dotted people up last season.
Team	Detroit Lions	F
Key Additions	Chuba Hubbard RB,
Review	If chuba Hubbard was the key to success in Detroit I would be excited. However, we know that isn't the answer there and this is where the QB's go to die. Offense was 32st overall and rush offense was 25th. Hubbard won't help this.
Team	Green Bay Packers	B+
Key Additions	Zach Cunningham LB, Derrick Nnadi DT,
Review	There is no question the offense is good and now the defense will have some help. There is a chance that these additions help overall. 31st in scoring defense needs addressed and hopefully these guys help create some turnovers by rushing the passer.
Team	Houston Texans	B
Key Additions	Michael Thomas WR, Jarvis Landry WR,
Review	It does not matter who is signed by Biggs when he can make anyone work. I cannot review something that has no explanation except now he will be even better.
Team	Indianapolis Colts	D-
Key Additions	Amari Cooper WR,
Review	It's WG. He has the best QB in the AFC so obviously a target for him now will only solidify that??
Team	Jacksonville Jaguars	C
Key Additions	Fletcher Cox DE,
Review	Jim makes a living on getting older players on the defensive front and getting the last little bit of them. The defense was never the issue and no big signings on offense does not look good for JAX.
Team	Kansas City Chiefs	D
Key Additions
Review	The team is loaded already and is super young. No cap due to Mahomes and Hill hurts but the youth is developing. I still feel there are holes that King John could fill.
Team	Las Vegas Raiders	D-
Key Additions
Review	Haven't seen BM much lately and he may be mining or building something over in the topia. Hopefully he is having more success there than it looks like he will in the upcoming season…..
Team	Los Angeles Chargers	C
Key Additions
Review	With a young core already cap room available surprising to see Kfox not get someone higher up even if older. Hopefully he does not implode now when it is said and done if someone gets hurt.
Team	Los Angeles Rams	D
Key Additions	Matt Milano LB,
Review	The last thing the rams needed was a LB with the core they have. Milano will not help beat Lance or put point on the board so hopefully that defense does something worth while cause the offense isn't.
Team	Miami Dolphins	C
Key Additions	Jerome Baker LB, Eddie Jackson LB, Rashod Bateman WR, Garrett Bolles LT, Romeo Okwara LE,
Review	Might as well bolster the defense with Waddle being suspended. Without that cheat code on the field it will be hard for his offense to continue doing what he was able to do passing last year. I do not believe these signings help him with the division so here is to the wildcard sir.

Key Additions	James Bradberry IV CB,
Review	why even review who he signed when he will go 12+ wins and make the playoffs…..
Team	New England Patriots	B-
Key Additions	Deandre Hopkins WR
Review	Being in so many games last season is tough when you are on the losing end. Adding Dhop may help push him over that hump? Hard telling honestly but hope that he just doesn't target him the entire time.
Team	New Orleans Saints	D
Key Additions	Javonte Williams RB, Wull Fuller V WR,
Review	Getting rid of Kamara is a head scratcher and replacing him with Williams is not the answer. The defense being 22nd in scoring defense that is what needed addressed. The secondary besides Lattimore is who??
Team	New York Giants	C-
Key Additions	David Bakhtiari LT, Justin Simmons FS,
Review	Signing a LT is not the key for Montgomery to continue to win. Why improve the offense when the defense is reasons you lost the games you did? This will not end well for him in the end cause Simmons won't be the fix.
Team	New York Jets	B+
Key Additions	Demarcus Lawrence DE, Orlando Brown RT, David Andrews C,
Review	Robo came out with that big dick energy and took the whole "offensive line is the reason teams will succeed" I understand that the offensive line was bad in Jets nation, but I think he could have spread that money out better. Lawrence is a good place holder for when he drafts another hidden dev player. I do not see it helping out overall unless that TE of his goes nuts all season.
Team	Philadelphia Eagles	B
Key Additions	Joe Mixon RB,
Review	Let's be honest. This isn't a terrible pickup for the Eagles because if Mixon and Garland carry the ball 25+ times each it will be hard to throw interceptions. When the T.O.P is weighted so heavily in the eagles’ favor Garland will only get 25 interceptions this season. Not addressing the 29th overall defense will continue to be a problem when he is down in his games and has to throw though.

Key Additions	Brandon Brooks G,
Review	Theo, Theo, Theo. I was enjoying a nice cup of coffee when I saw you won this bid-on Brooks. I believe that going after any of those WR would have been a better choice than spending $25M on one guard. People do more with less skilled offensive linemen….
Team	San Francisco 49ers	C
Key Additions	Von Miller OLB,
Review	Does the niners really need a defensive player that high being paid that much??? No….Does it really matter? No again. With the number 1 scoring offense and Lance leading the way not much to improve on so why not blow money that does not matter?
Team	Seattle Seahawks	A
Key Additions	Darius Slay JR CB, Folorunso Fatukasi DT, Brandon Linder C,
Review	With all draft capital gone for seasons now why not spend the money on what BP can? Any of the signing were better than what he had so fuck it why not? I do not believe it matters when staring down the other three in that division.
Team	Tampa Bay Buccaneers	C
Key Additions
Review	If it is not broken why fix it? It will still be the battle of Bucs/Panthers for a long time.
Team	Tennessee Titans	D-
Key Additions	Kennan Allen WR,
Review	With the opportunity to improve his pass defense, Andy decided why do that when I can just try to score more. Now that Henry lost that X factor there is no reason for him to run stretch 15 times a game. Unfortunately, Allen is not the answer to what will be a struggling offense this up coming season.
Team	Washington Commanders	C
Key Additions
Review	With no big signings there is no real big worries in DC. With a high-powered offense who needs defense? Hopefully, there is some development in the younger guys that help that defense which was 26th in the league.

Each offseason is always filled with head scratchers and great steals. This season was no different in that aspect. Now there were pickups of lower rated players that will help improve the overall ratings of teams, but I do not have the time to do that kind of deep dive. Will not signing higher level players hurt some teams? Will going after the wrong players bite some of the guys above? The answer is only time will tell. There is only a few guarantees each season we all can look forward to.

Adel will slide in those DM’s every year and try to get your best player for nothing.
King John will do something that will get a player suspended or he will run up the score.
The Browns owner is bad
Colts have the best QB in the AFC
Craftopia is superior to Madden.

This was fun to write and do and appreciate everyone who made it this far in this travesty of a article and hope that the ball bounces your way and that you avoid those monsoon games this year!
