The King’s Declaration
The Shocker:
Here it has to be the Browns. After a start we all expected getting Blown out by a division rival, they came out with a great showing losing by only 1 to the AFC powerhouse in the Broncos. Most shocking of all they managed to rattle off 3 in a row 2 against pretty decent teams and 1 against an up and coming Seattle squad. But now they face a gauntlet for the next 7 weeks. Lets see how they come out from this and if they continue this early season success.
On the opposite side we have the Buffalo Bills sitting a stunning 0-5. This may be shocking because they have a top 10 scoring offense. However, this offense can't help this horrendous defense allowing 37 points a game and over 400 total yards. What happened to this once competitive team.
Surprising:
Here we have two good ones starting with the 5-0 Cowboys. The Cowboy have won a few games that they were supposed to win. However, they also had an impressive win over the Jets as well. The Cowboys boast the number 1 scoring offense coupled with a top 10 scoring defense. This is a recipe for success. Let us see if this continues.
Another early season surprise is the Seahawks. Currently sitting at 2-3, where their 3 losses came by a total of 10 points and all against teams above .500. Seattle currently is proud of their top 5 passing offense and top 10 scoring defense. If they can close out games a little better this team will make the NFC a little more interesting.
Nothing New Here:
Bad teams are staying bad this year. Patriots, and the Giants currently combine for 1-8 record. Nothing new or surprising ther. The NFC North is a division to be had by anybody again. Through 5 weeks there is 1 team at .500 but everyone is within a single game. At this point its anyone's guess to who will win.
