5 Early Season Over Reactions

I will give you my early week 1/2 over reactions and then I will look like a fool 8 weeks from now with all these scalding hot takes burning away whatever credibility I had before. With that being said lets hop right into it.

Seattle is no longer a bottom feeder

The Seahawks played a great game against my Rams coming up just short in week 1. They had zero offensive turnovers and that front 4 is now something to reckoned with due to the addition of Derrick Barnett. Seattle will still likley finish 4th in the division but I expect them to elevate the floor of the division and bring the NFC West back into the best division in the league conversation like it was when Coach Kad was at the helm. Seattle will shock some team that takes them lighlty and it will likley be a team that has playoff/superbowl asperations.

Detroit is rocking and rolling

The Lions are rocking and rolling their way early on this season. Some may have been skeptical about the decsion they made to pay Leonard Fournette in free agency but his impact on the Lions early on cannot be denied. The Lions have an imposing force in the middle of their defense and should give any good team a run for their money. The way they played against the Cardinals leads me to believe Detroit should be the odds on favorite to win the North and give someone hell in the wildcard round of the playoffs. Will be intersting to see if Detroit can keep up its success against some of the better run defenses in the league.

Miami is on its way tua the superbowl

They lost to the Jets week 1 when they gave the game away at the end but I am extremely impressed and love how this team matches up. I know they tend to run the ball well and play solid defense but where this team goes rests on Tua's shoulders. I am expecting a breakout year like we have not seen before from the veteran QB. Miami needs to work on suring up that pass defense and its secondary in general but they have the pieces to compete for a superbowl trophy this season.

The bags are back out in the dawg pound

Greg Harris was awful in his week 1 start, just like all of those Browns Quarterbacks of the past he has basically been sent there to die. I will be shocked if the Browns even match their 1 win total from a season ago. I don't understand how they are the worst team in the league at this point but it appears that they are. They have to much on defense especially up front to be this bad early on. That defense gave up 42 points week 1 and will likely on be on a historically bad pace.

The Broncos are who we thought they were

Coach Astin grinded out a win against a very good IJ led Chargers team. This defense was superb and did not allow the Chargers to score a single touchdown throughout the entirety of the game. This defense will be the calling card of this team and I think Drew Lock was awful week 1 but that cannot continue for this team to be successful. He did not turn the ball over but 12 for 30 says it will be a long year in Denver. Can the Broncos find enough offense to get the elusvie superbowl they have been yearning for or is Astin tortuing resident Broncos fan Aaaron who expected multiple titles from the squad to come up with nothing? Somewhere in between I am sure but don't expect to see Denver in the big game if things keep going this way.
