I will rank each team 32 to 1 before the draft tonight based on what their offseason has looked like and their outlook for next season.
32. New England Patriots -- They had all the cap space one could ever dream of a last offseason and they parlayed that into terrible deals, up against the cap I don't expect them to recover and this cycle ends in a flameout for Coach Glenn.
31. Cleveland Browns -- I am not sure what the Browns are doing at this point, they have let veteran Baker Mayfield walk so who knows what they are going to do at Quarterback and this team traded has just been generally bad for a while.
30. Washington Football Team -- To be fair I know little about their new Coach so I have to rank them quite low, Coach Sin didn't seem to ever make it work with that team so my hopes aren't high for this new Coach. \
29. Baltimore Ravens -- Another bit of unknown here, the roster is not bad and he has a backfield not to be messed with. Can this team do enough on defense to make a run at the Steelers? I don't think so.
28. Seattle Seahawks -- With some of the players they have added I expect them to be better, how much better though is the question. It was proably a little to late for Coach KFox to put his stamp on this Seattle roster.
27. Green Bay Packers -- This team has been down and out since legendary Coach Lefty told the mafia to shove it and left town, Coach Theo is treading water and this offseason is no different. Expect the Pack to finish 4th in the division.
26. Chicago Bears -- I am not sure Beat is building his roster at this point, good but slow old guys doesn't really get it done. He loves paying former Rams and I don't think that gets you much past 8-8 if he is lucky to get there.
25. New York Giants -- This team should be better, they need their head coach to get his head in the game. If he can do that they are much higher than 25 but as of right now a disinterested Coach Beech led Giants team lands at 25.
24. Indianapolis Colts -- This Colts team went out and tried to get better in the areas they lack, unfortunatley for them it won't be enough in the tough AFC South that can send any team to the playoffs every year.
23. New Orleans Saints -- This team is in a tough spot with Sam Darnold being suspended I expect them to underperorm and be in the NFC South cellar.
22. Detroit Lions -- The Lions are on the cusp, I think the Vikings edge them out in this division race but the Lions have climbed 9-10 spots this cycle and I expect more improvement to end the cycle.
21. Buffalo Bills -- Coach JP outside of early in the cycle has not put it together. I think the Bills are a solid 3 in the division behind the Jets and Dolphins.
20. Las Vegas Raiders -- Coach Tiko has been up and down this cycle, has not found stability at the QB position and is behind in a very tough division.
19. Minnesota Vikings -- I feel like the Vikings will win the North and give someone a good playoff game in Coach Eikim's retirement tour. The Vikings brough in Kalil Mack which should help with the pass rush.
18. Cincinatti Bengals -- The Bengals are the first playoff team on my list, I think they take a step back a bit after some questionable front office decsisions this offseaon that will hurt them.
17. Los Angeles Rams -- Not much to say here, Rams got weapons but will they get the ball to them? Highly doubtful.
16. Carolina Panthers -- This team to me is onn the upswing and could easily be a playoff team, Coach Malik has finally reshaped his roster and they should win some games this year.
15. Dallas Cowboys -- I think they take a step back this year, just missing out on being a playoff team. I don't know if I believe in what this team does on defense for them to be successful.
14. Jacksonville Jaguars -- Another team I think that will be better than they were the previous season. Coach Pat will find a way to score points and this defense is still pretty good.
13. Houston Texans -- I think the Texans and Jags will either be fighting for that last playoff spot or they will both make it. Houston is slowly trying to continue the build on their talent and doing enough to keep in the playoff picture.
12. Kansas City Chiefs -- The Chiefs should be a playoff team, they are still insanely talented. I think the offensive line will be their weakness but they still have guys in the back half of their secondary.
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- The Bucs are a playoff team while they did unload some talent I expect Coach Tauph to replenish in the draft and be ready to go this season.
10. Los Angeles Chargers -- This Chargers team is fantastic on defense and they run the ball well. The question is will they make the big plays to win it all.
9. Tennessee Titans -- The Titans were a huge disappointment last season. I fully expect a big time turnaround and 6 to become 12 wins or so. This team should be getting most improved honors at the end of this season.
8. Miami Dolphins -- I am very high on where this team is going. They have a solid offense that will limit mistakes and some players in the middle of their defense to be feared.
7. Philadelphia Eagles -- The Eagles had an early playoff exit but I like the work they had done in free agency and they will once again be on top of the NFC East and an issue come playoff time for other teams.
6. San Francisco 49ers -- The 49ers are better than their record last season, expecting a huge win improvement from them and for them to battle the Cards in the NFC West for first place.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers -- I have questions at Quarterback and in the secondary outside of Minkah "The Traitror" Fitzpatrick. I think they will win like usual in the regualr season, can they finish the job though when it comes time for the big games.
4. New York Jets -- The Jets QB position is in flux so they land at 5 for me. Carson Wentz could use some good coaching because since he left they City of Brotherly love his stops in New England and Seattle have been horrifying. Jets win the division and are vying for an AFC title again.
3. Denver Broncos -- The Broncos have had some cap issues and have done some subtracting, they will need to hit on these picks they have to justify the high ranking I have given them. All these tough division games should make for a great test for Coach Astin to get his first superbowl of the cycle.
2. Arizona Cardinals -- This team was a bad break or two from breaking down the door for another superbowl apperance. I expect them to be right in it again this season if they don't take the entire damn thing.
1. Atlanta Falcons -- Our only repeat champion of the cycel and a well deserved spot at number 1. Coach Kelly has his squad back intact for another run. We could be calling them 3 times champs at the consclusion of this one.
Thanks to everyone who took their time to read this.
