Winner and Losers

As we enter the first stages of Free Agency we already have some winners and losers that may play an impact on the season.

Winners

Seahawks: This is solely based on Marcus Peters retiring and giving Kfox another year removed from the team that was burnt for him.

Cowboys: Cowboys are coming off a trip to the Divisional Round and are only losing 2 cornerbacks and have already been replaced with a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have acquired CB Hardwick who had a decent season and should help lock down the position with Layne.

Falcons: Coming off a Super Bowl win returning all 11 starters on offense and having 80 million in cap space. This team is getting more dangerous by the minute. They just need to replace Byron Jones who called it quits after receiving a Super Bowl Ring.

Steelers:  Returning all 11 starters on offense, returning 9 of 11 starters on defense. Coming off a hard loss in the Super Bowl the Steelers look to go back to the big game next season.

Losers:

Bears: With OBJ retiring and 13 players set to hit Free Agency a team that was competing for the NFC North Title may now be a hop skip and jump away from competing.

Bengals:  Losing Michael Thomas stings, and stings bad. With his departure and others looking to hit FA, Bengals decided to give 31 year old 74 overall WR John Ross a 29 million dollar franchise tag.

Lions: No one major is retiring but with Hand and Armstead set to leave in free agency this once top 10 defense looks to be taking a step or two back.

Raiders: Raiders had a down year and to add to it they had Shaquill Barrett and Trent Brown retire. Couple that with another 10 guys hitting free agency this one stings.

Rams:  So this may be the team that was hit hardest  of all. Not only did Russell Wilson retire, but the Rams also have 21 players hitting free agency. That leaves the never great, never even close to mediocre QB on the roster. The one the only the dumpster fire from Detroit, Tevin “3 Pick Sit” Wofford
