Wright or Wrong: Season 64 Recap / Season 65

Redzone, Redzone, Redzone,

We're back!!!!! Below you can find a recap of the beautiful takes I provided, the winner(s) of season 64's Wright or Wrong contest, and season 65's takes.

Take #1: The New York Jets Will Win The Superbowl

WRONG: Clearly we didn't imagine the Jets would go out in the first round, suffering a crushing defeat to Coach Ricky Chapstick's Colts. I don't think anyone called that.

Take #2: Dallas Cowboys Finish 8-8 (or higher)

WRONG: They finished 5-11 and clearly I'm the only person foolish enough to have expected more from them. Here's to hoping they show up ready to play season 65.

Take #3: Chiefs will go 12-4 (or higher)

WRONG: They finished 8-8 and really simmered down. Through 4 weeks in season 65, they're off to a blazing hot start...so let's see if I should run this take back.

Take #4: Hurts Throws Less than 25 TD's in PHI

WRONG:  Boy, I sure was wrong about Hurts. Not only did he throw for 36 touchdowns in the regular season...he led his team to a SuperBowl. He's got a fan in me.

Take #5: Saints Still Stink - 6-10 Record (or lower)

WRONG:  It would appear I was wrong about this too. The Saints slid into 10th place in the NFC at 7-9. Awww rats.

Take #6: Austin Wilson (DET) runs for 1000+

(W)RIGHT: The young buck carried for 1100+ yards and was perhaps one of the few brightspots for a struggling Detroit. I don't know how bright that team's future is...but for Wilson...the sky is the limit.

Take #7: The Niners make the SuperBowl with TB12

WRONG:  Not only did they not make the SuperBowl, we all forget Tom Brady even played there by middle of the season. Who cares, the Niners have reloaded and retooled.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your season 64 winners for the most correct takes: JAKE AKA YACUB ALLEN. Congratulations. For anyone wondering, Jake had all 7 takes on the money in determining how ludicruous they were but ALSO believing in Austin Wilson (which many of you did not, fools).
Put that on the set.
Season 65 Takes!
Take #1: The San Francisco 49ers will win the Superbowl
This should feel like a total gimme. If you haven't tuned in...Lamar Jackson is currently wreaking havoc against any and every team he plays. He is the Lebron James of football and all of you are lucky to be alive while he walks this earth. Moving on.
Take #2: The Carolina Panthers will win the NFC South
If you take a deeper look into what's going on with the Panthers, you'll start to realize that what Malik lacks in chat presence, he makes up for in GMing + Coaching. Prior to the Seahawks vs Panthers game, I hadn't checked out this team much (I'm a big Seahawks fan) but going through their roster they are young, solid at every position and playing really good football on both sides of the ball. I like them to win the NFC South ... by a landslide.
Take #3: The LA Rams make the playoffs
The NFC West has brought in a lot of star-power at this stage in the cycle. Surprisingly, the move that intrigues me the most is Christian Mcaffery to the LA Rams. I don't know if this will be enough to win the division for Coach Jim, I do anticipate he will punch in his ticket for his first playoff appearance of the cycle.
Take #4: Jordan Love will throw for 25 (or more) INTs
Welcome to the big leagues kid! It won't be easy for Jordan love who's being welcomed into the starting role under the leadership of a coach fresh to the league. I anticipate he will be sitting down quite a lot heading into the half, however, what doesn't break him will only make him stronger.
Take #5: Patrick Mahomes will be the league MVP (on console)
The Chiefs are out the gates to 4-0. Patty is playing better than we've seen all cycle and coach Spitter seems to have figured it out. Through 4 games, Patrick has 9 TDs, 1100 yards, and only 2 interceptions. Multipy that output by 4 and we have a monster season on our hands. Let's see if the Chiefs can evolve into who we all thought they'd be.
Take #6: The Buffalo Bills will lead the league in interceptions
We're through 4 games and the Bills have picked off opponents 16 times (only second to the Carolina Panthers). I anticipate the Bills will continue to see a ton of success forcing teams to turn over the ball. If only their offense could capitaize consistently...
Take #7: The Jaguars franchise will be voted LFTP by a jury of their peers
Because you know, narratives! I've watched the footage, monitored league soundbites on Jacksonville's approach to the game and I still don't fully see it. However, the ground-swell of momentum to tear down Coach Pat's gameplay + *strategy* only grows stronger with each week that passes. Don't be surprised if Coach Pat is making snarky jokes and half-cooked rebuttals daily by week 10 of the season.
