The King's Declaration Part 3

In this write up of The King's Declaration we are going to dive into the playoff race. We will visit each division picking the winner and seeing if any other teams out of the division will make the playoffs. We will go through the AFC today and NFC tonight or tomorrow.

AFC North

This one is fairly easy, The Ravens have all but clinched the division. They are also a game ahead for the #1 seed and that all essential bye week. However, do they really want home field advantage through the playoffs. They are 6-0 on the road and 4-2 at home. We shall see what happens going forward. The Steelers and Browns are both sitting at 5-7 two games out of the wild card race. With only 4 games left they don’t stand much of a chance getting. Bengals umm, Nope not this year. #1 pick is in their future

AFC South

Right now The Titans are sitting at the top of the division at 9-3 and a damn near a lock for the number 2 seed. They are a lock for the playoffs bearing a catastrophic failure. However, surprise surprise the Texans  are on a 6 game winning streak and flying towards the top of the division. Yes, they are two games out but, with a week 17 matchup all they are needing is a Titans loss and they may be taking home the division crown. Colts and Jags are both sitting at 5-7 and 2 games out. They will be needing a lot of help to get in. But hey it could happen!

AFC East

Umm, yes we all knew this was going duh. The New York Jets lead the division at 8-4. They are a lock for the playoffs and with only 4 games left and a 2 game lead they may even be looking at a home playoff game. Then we have the Baffling Buffalo Bills 4 weeks ago they are sitting at 6-2 with a 2 game lead over the Jets, now after a 4 game losing streak they are 2 games out of the division and odd man out of the playoffs. They are a game out of the 7th seed but with a few wins and some help they could sneak into the playoffs. Dolphins and Patriots, Top 5 picks here they come, combined to have a 12 game losing streak odds of high picks are very likely.

AFC West

Yes, of course this is the best division in the AFC and arguably the entire NFL. Who is leading that division of course it's the Chie……… No no wait it's the Denver Freaking Broncos,  and leading their monstrous defense is Von Mi….. no wait they traded him in the pre-season. This team is firing on all cylinders at 9-3 and in contention for the #1 seed. Yes the #1 seed not number 1 pick. 2 game division lead and 1 out from 1st seed.  Then we have fighting for the division and playoff seed both at 7-5 is the Chie….. nope not here either its the Raiders and Chargers, the raiders with their high flying offense and Henry Ruggs and the Chargers and their stifling defense have their teams in prime playoff position.. These teams are good enough to get it done on any given Sunday, and honestly, I don’t want either team rolling into my house on that first Sunday of wildcard weekend good luck. Bringing up the rear and fighting for a top 5 pick is the Kansas City Chiefs, with a league worst 383 point allowed and a middle of the road offense. They are looking to fill some holes. If they can come away with some lockdown superstar for their defense and they figure out their offensive woes. Look out next season this division could be looking to try to have all 4 teams in the playoffs.

  1. Ravens

  2. Broncos

  3. Titans

  4. Jets

  5. Raiders

  6. Texans

  7. Bills

And that ladies and gentlemen is the The King's Declaration!!!
