Future Of The Redzone: Top 10 Defensive Players 25 And Under

10. DE Chase Young Football Team: First of all typing Football Team for a team name is disgusting, we need to do something about that but I digress. Chase Young the only actual rookie I have on this list is destined to be a probelm pass rushers for opposing offenses in the years to come. I fully expect coach Weed to take and develop this guy into a stud who anchors this defense for an entire cycle. Chase will make the NFC East a living nightmare and these teams would be wise to beef up up front so they can handle this future All Pro. This guy is cap controlled for 4-5 season and I see no reason he is not in Washington long term. He joins a young talented defensive line that recently lost Jonathan Allen it should open up even more oppurtunites for Young. Young is the most exciting prospect since Clowney came out in terms of pro level intrigue transfering from college.

9. CB Marshon Lattimore Saints: This dude will be a lockdown corner on an already championship ready team this first season and will help you build a great secondary for the future. Coach Spencer needs to keep this guy in town as long as he can. Secondary this year is very important in my view to winning this year and this guy will be a top 5 corner before long if he is not already. The Saints have cap issues but there are other guys I would surely rather see leave town before this one does. If they do get put in a bad spot to resign him Lattimore would be coveted by the other 31 teams as an instant fix to their secondary woes.

8. S Derwin James Chargers: Woo another FSU alumni hits this list (spoiler he is not the only one). Derwin James has been a stud since the moment he left FSU and was picked by the Chargers. The Chargers really hit on a do it all saftey who is also a thumper and enough of a thumper to where he could be a sub linebacker in certian situations. Derwin brings and innate ability to be around the ball and make plays that this team needs in the back half of the secondary. The Chargers will build their defense of the future around him and Joey Bosa (you will see him later) for years to come. There is not another saftey I would personally rather have than this guy right now and for the rest of the cycle. Coach IJ got a good one, at just 24 years old he still has his best years ahead of him. Pay this man when the time comes and just let him be great.

7. DE Danielle Hunter Vikings: This young pass rusher is just 25 years old and has one of the quickest get off's I have seen in a young player (keep your mind out of the gutter). He will rush with speed but has the power to match it, and coach Eikim would be wise to keep this guy in the fold for years to come. He is the building block of a defense undergoing to some transformation at this time. Hunter has already had his contract extended so that part of the deal is done. I can see Hunter being a 12-14 sack guy this year in a league where pass rushing is much more toned down than it was in previous itterations. The Vikings have a strong chance of making the playoffs and it will be in big part due to Hunter's play on the defensive side.

6. DT Kenny Clark Packers: Coming off a newly minted extension this is one big football player in terms of performance and stature. Most of the time you are focused on pass rushing in this league which he does provide, however Clark really earns his keep as a run defender. NFC North running backs like Dalvin Cook, Deandre Swift, and Tarik Cohen better watch out for this guy because he will end up in your backfield. Clark is just entering the prime of his career and if he can put some polish on his pass rushing he may be able to lift that Packers defense to heights it has not seen in quite some time. I look for big things from Kenny Clark in season 62 and him being the stalwart of this front 7 for Coach Lefty.

5. DE Nick Bosa 49ers: Nick Bosa is a tremedous talent that just screams All Pro in the future. Bosa is just 22 years old and the sky is the limit as far this pass rusher goes. Coach Ernest has a generational talent potentially if he is coached up right and developed properly. Bosa at this point in his career likes to rely on his athleticism to beat Tackle's in pass rushing situations, he is a good run defender but that part of his game is under developed compared to the rest of it. Bosa is on a team that has a real chance to win and play a lot of meaningful games I fully expect Bosa to continue to push that 49ers defense to greater heights.

4. DE Joey Bosa Chargers: Joey the older of the Bosa tribe comes in right above his brother. At this point in his career Joey is a bit more advanced in terms of his skill. Joey is one of the most polished pass rushers in the game in terms of speed rushing and is still top notch as a power rusher. Bosa is 25 and just entering the prime of his career on a Chargers team that has to compete with Pat Mahomes and company. Bosa for my money may be the most acomplished pass rusher of the cycle again when it comes down to it a title he held last year with Coach Astin. Coach Johns has yet another young stud on his defense reffering back to Derwin James earlier on in this article. Bosa and Co should provide Coach Johns a solid foundation to work with his rookie QB Justin Herbert.

3. CB Tredavious White Bills: At 25 years old he is already a top 5 Corner easily in the league and will just keep getting better even if its not by leaps and bounds. White is the type of number one you can just go put on the offenses number one guy and call it a day becuase you know he is going to do his job. He excells at being a man press corner while still being very adept in zone conecepts that makes him dangerous anytime he hits the field. White is the not the type of corner these under acheiving AFC East receivers want to see on a week to week basis. Coach JP must sleep easy at night knowing he has this guy back there to guard the opposing number 1, White will help him have a great defense for years to come.

2. DE Myles Garrett Browns: Coach Prewitt needs to talk about this guy more, he is an absolute stud and may be the best player on his team this cycle. This guy is a Power Rusher relys on his bull rush as his go to move. He however can beat you with speed if you are going to sleep on that aspect of his game. A Great run defender and only 24 years old this guy is shortly going to enter his prime years as the anchor of this Browns defense. You need pass rushers in this league and Myles is one of the absolute best, he should help this young Browns team make the jump from mediocre to playoffs possibly. Myles is going to help the Browns and Coach Prewitt win some games this cycle with his amazing play.

1. CB Jalen Ramsey Rams: Arguably the best corner in the game that's a title I will bestow on Stephon Gilmore for now but Ramsey is coming for it hard. At just 25 years old he is in the prime of his career, I know for a fact the Rams plan to back up the Brinks truck at his front door and pay what it takes to keep him in town. Did I mention Jalen Ramsey went to FSU yet? Ramsey makes my defense and the style that I want to play this cycle. He will team with Aaron Donald to create a formidable unit that every team will need to prepare for. Ramsey is THE Man to Man Press corner that everyone wants to have, he excels and even will steal your wideouts stamina with successful press attemtps. This guy is an absolut stud and will carry my defense for the majority of the cycle and I could not be more excited to have him.
