Top Cap Situations For Season 63 #1-6

Team Est Cap Space Evaluation
Colts $126,918,221 Hey oh, look at Jake and the funky bunch now. He arguably comes in to the most flexible team in league at this point. With the majority of the Colts 2017 draft class not being candidates for extension including my feeling Marlon Mack will be among those players the Colts are poised to spend after Season 62. Where is the question, Phillip Rivers is currently on a 1 year Deal and the Quarterback positon will surely need to be addressed. I don't see many big time free agents out there at that position however. Jake will have the quickest chance to turn his fortunes around in an AFC South that could be ripe for taking by mid cycle. I expect the Colts to find veteran offensive lineman for Coach Chapstick's run first offense.
Jaguars $97,321,958 Hey look another AFC South team! This team has some serious holes and is in need of a lot of help. I think this is a case where you either spend short term money or do not spend a lot of money at all. The Jags foolishly rushed their rebuild and are paying the price for it now. Combind with the bad Quarterback contracts they had given out it is no wonder this team has cap space at this point. I feel as if the Jags would be well sutied to draft well (they have 2 1st round picks inlcuding yours truly's) in the Jalen Ramsey deal. Slow build and only sign players that fit your team long term without sacrificing your growth and flexibility. This will be a tough build but this money should help out termendously.
Chargers $95,755,138 Coach IJ should be chomping at the bit to get to this offseason. While they do have some players such as Desmond King, Forrest Lamp, Dan Feeny and Mike Williams to resign to name a few, they should be players in the FA period. They have 3 years of a rookie QB contract usually that is the time to go for good teams. The Chargers will need to be mindful of surely large extensison Derwin James will be expecting but some serious gaps could be filled here making the Chargers contenders once again. Plus you need someone to stop all the Cheifs fire power as well.
Patriots $88,091,446 This is a team in flux, most of this team could be turned over and rebuild could ensue. If I am Glen I am getting everything I can for anyone on this roster and living to fight another day. This falls in line with my evalution earlier of the Jaguars. Do not make those splash signings you will regret down the line. Glen has gotten better on the sticks i have perosnally questioned some of his GM moves so it will be very important for him to understand this team and how to use this money without hurthing himself long term. But I do see the Patriots loading up at the reciever postions as Coach Glen has done in his past stops.
Redskins $86,957,478 The Redskins have young talent all around, if they can get out from under the enormous contract Alex Smith has they are poised to have 100 Million in free agency. This team should not adopt the Dan Snyder mentality and just throw it around. Coach Eikim should be good drafting players making it so that he does not have to do that. The theme here is home grown players and siging important players at key positons. I would expect Eikim to leave some holes open on purpose and not spend the big money he could this offseason.
Bengals $75,794,942 This number will be intersting to see, the Bengals are a team in transition. AJ Green could be leaving town and the need for a number one target for Joe Burrow could be a glaring hole that needs to be addressed in free agency. The Bengals ar another one of these teams that I do not believe will be heavy players in free agency. They will continue to try and get better via the draft and hopefully sign players that make sense to their long term goals as I do not see them competing right away. Some defensive talent to put around an aging Geno Atkins could do the Bengals well in a division where you will contend with Lamar Jackson the entire cycle.
