Changes I Need In Madden 21
Free Agency: Free agency is the land of the snipers, you can change, move up/down, remove a bid or show interest in a player that you might not actually want. This is not the way free agency is supposed to work, I would like to see an emphasis on team fit to start. The idea being that based on those players criteria they will make a decision. Lots of times we have seen players take a bit less money to be where they want to be for example. Do not mistke this for scheme fit, scheme fit is a joke and unless I have an OLB who is stuck really at his size in a 3-4 defense scheme means next to nothing as you know it can change with a few upgrades. Blind bidding anyone? Bid limiting anyone? 2k does this with their NBA franchise very well and we could benefit from seeing a similar setup implemented. The NFL has gone to a dark period just like the NBA.
Injuries: There is alot I would like to see here. Injury history being a factor would be a game changer and might lead to unexpected surprises. Have a body model and each body part has its own durability and injury history. That would change the way our front offices work. You maynot want to keep that injury riddled WR despite his immense talent. I finally want injuires risks to outweigh the rewards at some points. Let's make it so we see that UDFA that we get on Sundays. Early retirements, not seeing that WR play till he is 34 because he is always healthy. Frankly it just is not sim and I want to see a major change here.
Draft Picks: Compensatory picks? Ability to use more than just the future seasons assets, and more trade slots than 3.
Outdated Defense: EA maybe make it so the 4-6 doesn't work anymore? Maybe take it out entirely?? Just sayin'.
Xfactor distribution: Keep it to a max of 6 Xfactors but do not limit me to 3 and 3... Make it so I can have 4 Xfactors on defense and 2 on offense for example.
Play Now in Franchise: Who does not want to practice with their own team?
Draft Classes: Need more unique players in our draft classes by default, and generational players as well.
Coaching: It is time to expand our coaching staffs and make it so these things matter.
