Rams Top 5 Players I Am Excited For!

 

Number 5: Leonard Floyd OLB

Floyd was a stud for Coach Chapstick a few cycles ago, while I know he is not the former rookie of the year anymore he is physically a great player. I feel like he can be devleoped into a consistant threat who is very versatile in our 3-4 front that will thrive on confusion. Whether it be coverage, rushing the passer, or stopping the run I envision Floyd playing a major role for this team early. He should add to an exciting defense that takes the field day 1. 

 

Number 4: WR Cooper Kupp

I feel like I could have put a number of offensive players in this spot. Kupp is a reliable player and that is really what I feel I need to be successful with this team. He will provide the type of security blanket that Goff will need and should be a high volume target for us. He is not a physically imposing player but runs good routes and primarily will operate out of the slot. Kupp may be my leading reciever coming into the cycle. I expect him to be a fixture of my offense for the first few seasons. 

 

Number 3: HB Cam Akers

He is an FSU guy so that makes him a winner in my book from jump street. I love having my FSU guys, I had Karlos Williams my first stint in Miami, and Devonta Freeman when I had Atlanta. He is explosive and I want to use him in a number of ways, running and catching the ball. He should be the focal point of my run first offense. You will see my affinity for FSU players later, Akers could seriously be in the rookie of the year conversataion on the NFC side seeing how all the young QB's are on the AFC side. He will get the use that I can promise. 

 

Number 2: DT Aaron Donald

This needs no explination, he is an absolute stud and proably the best defender in the league. Hell he might even be the best player. He will be center piece of my defense for years to come and will rush the passer with a fury for me. I am really excited to have this player out of the gate, I am a defense first guy and that is not a secret. I have never had a player this good out of the box on this side of the ball, Julio Jones comes to mind of the offensive side. Donald will be a Ram for a long time while I am the coach of the team. 

 

Number 1: CB Jalen Ramsey

Seminoles Represent! My favorite player in the league at this point. I did not want to take a team with no picks but I could not turn down the best corner in the league. He was well worth the draft captial I will not have in order to get him. He will shut down half of the field and make it much easier for us to win games. This former FSU product will be gem in our secondary for years to come. The Rams will 100% be using a 3+1 slot on Jalen to retain him whether it be long term of via the Franchise Tag at first. He is the player by far I am most excited to get my coaching hands on.
