Madden 18 cannot come quick enough for some GMs in the league. Many have seen the writing on the wall and know that this cycle is all but dead to them. With the Red Zone completing their Madden 18 Team Draft this past weekend, let's take a look at how things ended up panning out.
*The first thing many will notice is how much stronger the NFC is, based solely on past W/L records. Aside from the NFC South, the other three divisions in the NFC are going to be rough.
*Six of the top eight teams from this cycle will be duking it out for playoff spots every season. There will be someone getting screwed each season. I wouldn't be surprised if 10-6 teams miss the playoffs on a consistent basis.
*With both Kelly and Moji in the NFC West, hopefully Jake is prepared to continue his 7-9 success going into the next cycle. Now we get to take bets on how long Jake will have Gurley before he gets hurt, crushing his dreams of a great RB.
*The AFC North appears to be the weakest division. Eikim's record may be deflated due to the fact they played in the tough NFC East this past cycle. Astin, who has the best record of the group, inherits the worst roster of the four teams.
*The AFC East is the strongest division, and was also one of the last divisions put together. All four teams were in the top 12 in winning percentage.
*Steelers Guy (soon to be Broncos Guy) has the largest margin of victory over their 2nd place team, having a winning percentage 19% higher than Silk. This just means he SHOULD have the easiest path to winning the division.
*Although the NFC South is the weakest division in the NFC, it should be highly competitive, as all four teams appear to be about the same skill levels.
*Turtles, the 31st best record, inherited what many suspect to be the best roster in the game. Unfortunately, he has the 1st and 5th best records in his division. A roster will only get him so far, if he can make the playoffs it will be hard to only attribute that feat to the roster.
